We've got a leak! Blizzard has accidentally pushed information about the new expansion's Mega Bundle to Google Play. Zeddy caught this and posted about it on Twitter (thanks Zed!), and now we're sharing it with you.
We have verified this on our end too - this really is on Google Play. The offer apparently ends in 6 Days too which is odd.
We'll be keeping track of everything to do with Voyage to the Sunken City in our expansion guide.
Voyage to the Sunken City Mega Bundle
It looks like yet another Mage skin is coming with a pre-order bundle - Queen Azshara! Here's what we know about the Mega Bundle.
- 80 Voyage to the Sunken City Packs
- 5 Voyage to the Sunken City Golden Packs
- 2 Random Voyage to the Sunken City Golden Legendary Cards
- Queen Azshara Hero Skin (Mage)
- Azshara Card Back
- 5 Mercenaries Packs
- Battlegrounds Perks
- Boombardment Battlegrounds Finisher
The image we have for this is, unfortunately, small, but you can get an idea of what it all looks like.

Oh that expansion sounds interesting!
A like the nautical theme!
I too base my taste on cosmetics solely around the current meta. Do you also demand refunds for skins if a class gets nerfed?
Nah, your take is bad and you should feel bad. PrivateNightmare is 100% correct. Also, voting with your wallet but still playing the game is ...a laughable take at best. IF you are so disenfranchised with the game/company: stop playing. Not purchasing anything but continuing to play the game still gives them player retention metrics which in their eyes is a win. See Hulk Meme
As for your other "points" (if they can even be called that), wut? No-one purchases cosmetic/bundles based on their meta presence. Literally No One. (Well except for you clearly). And "lack of communication outside battlegrounds"? I don't even know where to begin with this. By "lack of communication" do you mean patches? Because they have been doing that. Or by lack of communication do you mean "balance changes I don't agree with". Or, since you are apparently so entitled and narcissistic; perhaps you believe Blizzard should have a direct line of communication to YOU specifically before making any announcements or balance changes? That's probably it isn't it?
(Direct footage of Blizzard employee following "DoingTheObvious" 's orders)
Attempting to be snarky because someone called you out on your hot take and making comments like "take that act on the road" all smack of someone desperately projecting their own insecurities onto others and attempting at all costs to "win the internet" in every conversation.
imagine getting this angry over a simple joke about the fact that you made a completely nonsensical comment.
Take a break.
JFC, another Mage hero........
I know right?
Year of Serpent?
Tbh, with these preorders, I wish they would just give you a page that lists all the things they are offering, with a check box next to each item, and you pick what you want, customize your preorder, put price breaks at certain amounts so the bigger the bundle, the better the deal looks, kinda thing. I personally have no interest in Mercenaries, the only Gold cars I keep are Mage, and any that make me have 2 copies of a card. (if I get a non gold later on, I dust the gold ones) I want most of that pre-order bundle but there's things I just don't care about. Oh well, we'll just have to wait for the official release and see what bundles are available.
While I understand where you are coming from, what you described is more an a la carte special and not a "bundle". They do bundles all the time outside of HS like cars - how often do you think people want heated seats in cars in the south?
if it works for Insurance companies, it can work anywhere.
Well, this isn't an insurance company, this is a video game company.
Anyway, we have already 2 bundles, if the 80 card mega bundle is too much for you, and you don't like all the extras (wich you can ignore the ones you don't want in case you only want some), then you can buy the other bundle.
Well, the reason they do it this way is because they're specifically targetting whales and collectors. This way they can effectively get 80 bucks for a bunch of cosmetics that they could otherwise only sell at a fraction of the price because they bundle it with a bunch of other stuff that is virtually useless to most people who already have a large collection. If they made all the contents available seperately the whales wouldn't spend nearly as much money because they have no reason to buy a bunch of cardpacks when they already have a lot of ressources available in-game.
If it helps, the hero skin should be available as a single purchase in 1-2 years (I'm not sure if they're consistent with the timeframe)
yeah, but I think they would probably get more people spending money on this bundles if they could pick and choose what they want to get, and again, giving small discounts are larger bundles could cause people to spend that little bit extra. Like if it came down to the gold packs pushing me over to a price break, I'd probably pick them up because I could use the Dust.
See, that is common misconception. Think about it. Let's say they sell the skin on its own and price it at 15$. Everyone who would have previously bought the 80$ bundle will now just buy the skin, meaning they'd only get less than a quarter of what they previously would have.
Not to mention, this also heavily cuts down on their profits from whales. Whales have enough money to buy anything in the game and will do so if they want it. If you now sell this skin seperately the whales will just buy that because the yprobably don't need the extra packs anyways. As a result you now earn about 75% less than you would otherwise. The few players that aren't willing to fork over 80$ for a skin, but would gladly hand out 15 is clearly not enough to warrant a change like this.
I can even confidently say that this is true because if there was data to support that selling skins seperately makes them more money they would have done it ages ago.
To be fair, older mega bundles included less at the same price, before mercenaries and battlegrouns, the mega bundle only contained 80 packs, 1 golden legendary, 1 cardback, and 1 skin, now they decided to include mercenaries and battlegrounds, so you can't expect that now that it includes more things, if you're only interested in some, they'll discount what you're not.
Well, I was thinking that it'll be leaked out before release and here we are. So much for all that pandaria speculation on reddit. I guess that pretty much removes any possibility of a new class until the following year as well, because it wouldn't make much sense to have a new class at any time other than the first expansion of the rotation.
As for the bundle, its pretty much standard now, 80 packs + 5 extra golden packs. Not preordering, because let's be honest here, 80 bucks is a stretch considering that you wont even get a full set from it. I will be interested if there were cheaper bundles, because if blizz has a 25 bucks plan for 25 packs + 2 legendaries, I'd definitely be considering it.
Not really interested in the portrait but is there some mandated rule that all hero portraits must look straight? Be a bit better if they had a dynamic pose instead of the usual school mug shot.
Perhaps we'll finally be getting a neptulon that's actually playable now too.
Even more since the original Neptulon had nothing to do with Goblins v. Gnomes!
Mal'ganis, Malorne, Mogor, Troggzor. Lots of legs that have nothing to do with goblins and gnomes as far as I can tell.
Granted, it was their first expansion, and were still using existing art, so there's that.
A bizarre choice to say the least. It also costs 7 with 3 overload, and all it does is give you 3 murlocs in your hand. Talk about being bad, lol.
Well I suppose i will have a finisher now
