The announcement for Battleground changes in Patch 23.2 just dropped and we are already getting new cards! A new Battlegrounds minion was revealed by Kripparrian - Glowscale!
Spellcraft - Minions with the Spellcraft keyword grant a temporary spell when played and each turn.
Kripp not only revealed a new card, but also had a short talk with one of the developers, Dominic Calkosz - check out the video to learn some interesting tidbits!
One important thing to take away is - BUDDIES ARE ROTATING OUT! WHAT?!

Can't remember when Buddies were introduced, but it seems they were only in BGs for such a sort time considering they must've taken a lot of time to develop and add to the game. Guess Team 5 didn't want to over complicate things with the introduction of Nagas.
I'm sure they'll return in some shape or form before too long.

Finally, no buddies, some of them were unfair comparing to others.
And this naga is busted. That's what we need, poisonous murlocs with divine shields.

Somebody was clearly a little excited at the news. ;)
With a new season introducing a new minion tribe and hero, it's best to remove buddies since there's likely been zero testing done.
I could be wrong, of course. Is a little bit of a bummer because I haven't gotten used to all playstyles with accompanying buddies.
