How does suspicious alchemist work? You have to wait during your turn for your opponent to guess your choice until you can continue with your own turn? I thought Hearthstone's philosophy was that your opponent shouldn't be able to intervene during your turn.
I reckon the opponent makes their guess at the start of their turn.
yeah I think they already revealed some other card with a similar effect during the first stream with Kibler and they showed that the opponent's choice happens at the start of their turn
Oh, so if you play it the same turn, you're basically guaranting them that card. Interesting mechanic.
The wildseed generator for hunter seems really cool for a 2 drop. The secret guy has been made for rogue. But the First thing that come up in my mind Is this one. We saw: 1) a 4/4 for 2 mana that can be considered thrash, 2) a spell that create a 6/6 for 2 mana that Is considered hm and 3) the second card for the secondary paladin archetipe (the pure One) have been designed ad waaaaaaay stronger than any other dude pally card we have seen until now (as well as the elitist, obviously). If team5 would have wanted the dude paladin to be a thing, they should have designed its cards to have the Power of those two ones, and they could do it but they didn't. We are "happy" or scary to see steward and promotion but those cards are not that strong compared to other cards that are not considered that strong.
Are wildseeds separate cards that you can build into a deck? Or is it strictly only summoned by the "Spirit Poacher" minion?
They don't have a rarity gem so they seem to be just tokens. There might be other Hunter cards to synergize with them though so not just Spirit Poacher.
So interesting cards only;
Serrated Bone Spike - Basically its buffed Backstab. Because its very rare for rogue to use a removal option that doesn't actually end up removing a minion. However, because this can't hit face, it might only see fringe play, by decks like mine rogue.
Bibliomite - Likely its trash, but interesting trash. We're at a point of time where a 4/4 on 2 might not even be enough for the win. But I concede that its likely going to attack at least once before it dies, so the question is whether that is enough compensation to lose a card from hand. If dhunters are playing lots of draw/generation then it might not be as bad as I think it is
Famished Fool - Im not too sure. Basically decks that manages to infuse this by 5 would probably not want to play something with subpar stats, and this is can never truly be used by control, on top of being a terrible top deck. But drawing 3 though, is still something.
Sketchy Stranger - Its perhaps too costly, but will see some play, simply because secrets, whatever anyone thinks, will still make players play inefficiently.
Forensic Duster - Too costly, and unlike Cult Neophyte this will only ever realistically disrupt aggro decks.
Muckborn Servant - One of the best pally cards revealed so far. Taunt, 4 health, and discover. Can one ask for more, for 3 mana?
Maze Guide - Basically this powercreeps all but the very best 2 drops.
Hunter's identity this time round seems to be "beasts, whatever" because so far its been all over the place. Let's hope there's something coming up that will tie all these loose ends together.
Famished Fool is basically Azure Drake that can sometimes draw 3 instead of 1. You can bet your ass this card will be played.
You don't think Spirit Poacher is interesting? To me, it's probably the most interesting of all the cards here.
Spirit Poacher is just near OP levels in my opinion. I thought it was obvious so I didn't bother commenting on it here. I mean, its clearly good, but very standalone.
Basically the best 2 drop in standard, and certainly the best hunter card so far. The only downside is consistency, but that's about it.
Edit: Some basic changes. Just wanted to make things clearer with my english
How is forensic duster bad?
Its legit a premium statted minion that also screws up your opponents curve. It can also disrupt oppponent combo plays, and this in shaman with bolner and macaw can potenially make your opponent skip the next turn
Because most of the top level decks tend to be more reliant on spells to end games, maintain tempo, or in some cases just rely on them completely for everything. That's why Cult Neophyte saw play throughout its lifetime in standard despite only bumping spells by 1.
Only in aggro matchups or minion centric combo decks can this really do damage. But Im not optimistic that we'll see much of this card.
On your example. If my opponent plays his bolner or macaw on this thing, then I'd be laughing. That's significantly better than seeing it repeat mutanus or snowfall guardian. Unless Im playing aggro, I'll just remove them with a spell and you're 2-3 cards short doing jack.
Bibliomite can also tutor outcast-cards again in combintation with carddraw-cards. Otherwise it reshuffles an outcast card.
It’s definitely a meta depending card. But i just can’t see this not getting played in a probably minion based meta, because of stuff like infused being pushed. Even in the current meta right now, this card would do so much. Stuff like prestor druid, naga priest would completly skip their turn. And sure Mutanus in many instances is better, but that card is still 7 mana. And Snowfall is a good card and also 6 mana, but its not that good playing it on a small board. So Forensic Duster has the potential to win certain matchups and it isn’t a bad card at all just playing on curve.
90% of these cards suck.
Forensic Duster might see play in Tempo/Aggro decks as it can potentially skip the opponents turn giving you some good tempo.
