Hearthstone Duels combines a large variety of sets with a multitude of playable characters and Passive Treasures. Such an overabundance of variances makes it so that the balance may shift rapidly, with new strategies emerging and countering others every time new synergies are discovered - what looks strong today might appear obsolete after just a few days! For this reason, players are asked to adapt to a rather changing environment, and they never fail to come up with fresh and interesting takes!
With this being said, below you'll find a handful of 12-win decks achieved with multiple classes: while some of them represent well-known archetypes, other are successful experimentations of off-meta strategies, which may give you the inspiration you need to build one yourself. Have fun!
In case you missed them, we have published other collections of 12-win Duels starting decks to take inspiration from!
Disclaimer: Some decks in this article were collected from Firestone. You can find out more about Firestone and install the app here!
If you've had 12 win luck in Duels, be sure to add your starting decks to our site via the deckbuilder and share them in the comments below! Moreover, if you manage to find even more 12-wins decks (maybe even your own!) and you'd like us to showcase them, please contact us on Twitter at @Avalon_OOC or through an in-site ping in Private Message.
Firestone - 12 Wins Boar Brann
Duels may have all sorts of broken combos and synergies, but even they can do anything when you destroy all their mana crystal and hit them in the head with a 15 Attack Sword of a Thousand Truths. This starting deck is designed so that such scenario will take place as often as possible - seeing is believing!
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Open the Doorways
- Second pool - Mummy Magic
SilberFuchsin's 12 Wins Rush Crowley
Someone actually managed to bring the new Duels Hero Darius Crowley to 12 wins within the very first few days of the patch! The starting deck you see below basically confirms that Rush synergy and Safe Harbor are one of the safest ways to build around Crowley.
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Grommash's Armguards
- Second pool - Special Delivery
Firestone - 12 Wins Fel Demon Hunter
Lady S'theno is quite the card, especially if you're able to buff it up with some Corrupted Felstone procs. Even your Hero Power, Infernal Strike, will provide S'theno fodder for your swing turns.
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Wither the Weak
- Second pool - Corrupted Felstone
Firestone & SaltOnToast - 12 Wins Deathrattle Drek'thar (Warlock)
Quite the peculiar deck if you ask us, Deathrattle Drek'thar combines the support provided by War Commands with Tamsin's Phylactery for some atrociously good OTK turns with Kobold Sandtrooper or Naval Mine.
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Rocket Backpacks
- Second pool - Mummy Magic
SaltOnToast achieved the same final result with an (almost) identical starting deck, while also being able to experience the new Passive Treasure Brittle Bones, which confirms the fact that it's very powerful tool.
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Recycling
- Second pool - Brittle Bones
Fliboce's 12 Wins Mind Tether Priest
Directly from our Fliboce, here's a new take on Mind Tether Priest that wants to abuse Clockwork Automaton for lots of damage (will probably get banned): for example, creating 2 copies with Gift of Luminance and Vivid Nightmare makes your HP deal 8 damage per spell cast. If you own Priestess Valishj, you should replace Lyra the Sunshard with it.
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Location, Location, Location!
- Second pool - Brittle Bones
Firestone - 12 Wins Bomb Warrior
Although we despise this archetype, Bomb Warrior still manages to sneak some 12ers here and there: there's not doubt that the (very good) Armor cards released in both Fractured in Alterac Valley and Voyage to the Sunken City have helped the archetype to not fall off completely.
Passive Treasures Chosen
- First pool - Rocket Backpacks
- Second pool - Cloak of Emerald Dreams

12-2 with the second Drek'thar warlock deck. Brittle Bones is thoroughly ridiculous for warlock, particularly with sacrifice effects like the Grimoire and parallel board clears like Hellfire or Plague of Fire. Because Brittle Bones doesn't care about friendly versus enemy for its effect, killing your own minions procs it, including your own Skeletons... making the Phylactery almost superfluous. I would frequently fire off a board clear and end up with more minions than before. One stylish lethal saw me drop Tamsin, School Spirits to spawn some skellies, School Spirits again to kill and replace them, then Plague of Flame for lethal with damage to spare.
I saw a LOT of Brittle Bones in my later matches.
Lost to Mine Warrior, which makes sense, given that this deck draws like crazy but can be oddly passive at times, and to a Rush warrior that dropped four hand-buffed Rokaras in one turn (thanks to Special Delivery). Most of my other games did not feel close.
I am very glad Team 5 was quick to step in.
Can confirm Drek'Thar warlock decks with Brittle Bones are quite busted. Also brittle bones on Priest deck is wrong treasure :)
Updated!
Also, is it just me or the first deck has no copy button? No problem, I'll do it by hand, but was curious...
Dual-class heroes are quite annoying when it comes to deck codes. The feature will arrive eventually, but it requires a major overhaul of our entire deckbuilder to support that.
I just threw together that rush darius deck on patch day without checking anything online and none of the legendaries but included the cannons-attack-end-of-turn minion. It was almost always useless because it didn't trigger the +1 attack of hero power, wish it was "trigger your hero power at the end of your turn" then it'd be better.
Anyway I hard streaked 11-0 with that the only extremely close game was the damn void skeletons which I luckskilled out a win with a topdeck +10 dmg leeroy due to the battlecry +2 weapon.
The next day I streaked downwards to 11-3 losing 3 games to those damn void skeletons all of them "ultra-rare" my ass lol it was all I saw in my last 4 games and is insanely OP vs small-minion based decks. But yeah I feel like that +1 to minions is just insanely powerful and should maybe even be a 3 cost HP.
11-0 into 11-3 is such a terrible hit
