We've got some major news with regards to Hearthstone Duels today via a dedicated reveal from Zeddy.
As part of the content update for the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion, the Duels game mode will receive a brand new playable Hero in Darius Crowley, already known to Hearthstone for being a playable character in The Witchwood's Monster Hunt.
Darius Crowley will start the game with a Cannon on the board: just like in the solo content, it will deal damage to opposite enemies; moreover, players won't be able to interact with it.
Another, probably even more important news is that everyone will get all of the Hero Powers and Treasures unlocked for free in both Casual and Heroic - no more mandatory grind to try out the new toys!

New Passive Treasures
But that's not all: together with Darius, we'll receive 4 new Passive Treasures.
Update: Game Designer Ates "Tabayrak" Bayrak confirmed on Twitter in which Tiers these Passives will appear in (Source).
- Location, Location, Location! - Tier 1
- Be our Guest - Tier 1
- Brittle Bones - Tier 2
- Ring of Haste - Tier 2 Ultra Rare

I don't remember: can you find Signature Treasures within your Duel run? I don't believe you can, which means all of these Cannon upgrades are mutually exclusive. That's completely unlike Monster Hunt, where you collect multiple upgrades and can really go to town with the Cannons. Rather disappointing, to be honest.
Signature teasures cannot be obtained beyond the one you start with. So the only way to increase your output (in warrior) is to bran/zola/brewmaster the one that gives you extra cannons. So that's an 8/9-mana combo that gives you a +2 damage on your cannon.
Is it just me or does the new hero look rather... underwhelming? The only time I got anywhere with Crowley in Witchwood is when I was able to stack multiple upgrades for his cannons and with this you can only really get one if you actually draw it.
Not to mention his hero power feels much weaker compared to he other Duel HPs, except maybe "Fire Away!" which is only good for the board buff.
IDK, I just kind of expected more. Maybe it's because Crowley was my least favourite dungeon run style caracter...
Mr Crowley ♫♫♪ what is on in your head?
In the 2nd paragraph you wrote Watchword's instead of Witchwood's 😅
Also I wonder if they will put the rest of the Witchwood heroes into Duels, sure, Toki will be the hardest to balance, yet she was my favorite and I'd love to see her in Duels
I don't know Watchword you're talking about.
We put the correct name in, but ok, fixed for the name under which Watchword is known to the community to not spread the confusion :))
Crowly was my favorite witchwood hero, so I'm definetely looking forward to him being in Duels.
I agree: favorite by far.
