Ahead of Thursday's planned patch, Mike Donais has taken to reddit to give us some insight into what to expect from it in terms of Hearthstone Battlegrounds, including new heroes, balance changes, and the first iteration of the stats page!
Thursday's patch will also remove the Doom in the Tomb event cards from Standard, and will likely contain the data for the upcoming Descent of Dragons cards, as the expansion launches on Tuesday 10th, and all the cards will be revealed by the end of Wednesday 4th.
Quote From Mike Donais Has there been any announcement for what is coming on the December 5th Battlegrounds patch/update?
I believe the only thing I remember hearing is that Amalgam is getting nerfed and we may be getting a new hero, but I wasn't sure if anything else was announced yet.
3 new heroes.
Balancing some old heroes.
- 2 new minions.
- Amalgam change isn't until January.
- Balance Lightfang Enforcer to +2/+1.
- Version 1 of stats page. Version 2 is January or February.
- Patch notes will be out on Dec 5th most likely.
Fighting Twice in a Row? Don't Expect Fixes Yet
Quote From Mike Donais Are you still changing hero fight rotation to cant fight the same person again in two turns???? That's the biggest one to a lot of people.
Yes, but not in the dec 5th patch.

Oh cool, more battlegrounds content........ cool. So cool.
So are we going to have about 5 days of SoU meta before next expansion? Great, effing late, but great.
It says above "Thursday's patch will also remove the Doom in the Tomb", the fifth, and then "the expansion launches on Tuesday 10th", so about 5 days.
totally right. Will remove my comment
Excited! Bet Brann is the first one to head to the chopping block.
Agreed. Even at my lowly 5k mmr, Brann is picked by someone about 95% of the time. Though, even if they nerfed his hero power to give +1 attack or +1 health with each battlecry, that's still pretty good.
Good riddance it was fun at first but i am so done with rogues and n'zoth.
you forgot shamans and evolve. =
One time I was fighting a rogue and she played N'zoth to summon 6 khartut defenders. Then he shuffled somwhere around 15-20 N'zoths into his deck. Then I played a malygos combo for 30 damage. It was funny.
There are annoying decks, but there are always counters, you just have to look for them.
I was playing my infinite aoe paladin deck they shuffled 16 nzoths into their deck, I wasnt worried because I baited out both saps and played around the sylvannai until they were only rezzing khartut defenders, so my undatakah wouldn't be shut down and they couldn't get rid of it without just killing it and clearing their whole board. They played a witchy lacky and got another sap right when I was about to win. So I'll say it again. GOOD RIDDANCE TO NZOTH.
