A server-side update has hit Hearthstone Battlegrounds that changes the way the round matchmaking works.
It should be noted that Blizzard originally told us about this update in the Galakrond's Awakening patch notes.
Quote From @PlayHearthstone A Hearthstone Battlegrounds matchmaking update has just gone live that adjusts the algorithm determining which opponent you face each round.
You will no longer face the same player, or Kel’Thuzad, more than once in every 3 combat rounds (unless there are 2 players remaining).

FINALLY!
No one like losing because they took 10+ from the strongest comp twice in 3 rounds.
Absolutely love that change.
Sometimes I had feeling I play in 2vs 1 battleground facing two players over and over instead of playing in 8 player rumble.
Yay, now I can finally stop fighting Rafaam back to back :^)
Much welcomed change.
You don't care about it when you're doing fine, but when you're on the short end facing the same two opponents over and over again feels miserable.
I remember a run in which I faced Tirion literally every odd turn until I eventually died.
Now we'll have a tad more diversity.
This is one of the reasons why I've avoided BGs since December. Time to get back in!
Glad this is finally implemented. It could go either way of being extremely bad for you if you get the same dude with the early nuts pulls over and over or ez mode to rank 4 or higher by getting Some person who bailed on the game early with barely any minions several times.
either way feels bad for someone.
