Blizzard has announced that the Masters Tour event that was to take place next month in Indonesia has been moved to the United States.
Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the safety of those involved with the event, it will now be taking place at NGE Studios in Los Angeles. The event takes place from March 20-22 and you can read more below.
Please don't forget to keep your hands clean and away from your face! Soap and water do wonders to prevent the spread of germs =)
Quote From Blizzard After careful consideration of the ongoing coronavirus, we have decided to relocate Masters Tour Indonesia to Los Angeles. We decided to make this move to protect the health and safety of our players, staff and everyone involved with the Masters Tour. We’re sad we won’t be able to hold the event as originally planned, but the safety of all participants is our top priority.
To acknowledge the incredible hard work of the players that earned an invite to Masters Tour Indonesia, we are excited to hold the second Masters Tour of 2020 at NGE Studios in Los Angeles, on March 20-22. Blizzard Entertainment and NGE Studios are inviting over 300 competitors from around the world to participate, each competing for their share of more than $250,000, out of the $3,000,000 total prize purse for 2020, boosted by the Dragon Masters Bundle.
Knowing that adjusting travel plans can oftentimes be difficult, we’ll be providing up to $250 USD to all qualified competitors who need to rebook their travel to Los Angeles if they’ve already secured flights to Indonesia. Players simply need to submit documentation showing rebooking.
You can find information on how to provide proof of travel rebooking costs and the full day-by-day tournament schedule on the Masters Tour Los Angeles event page. We want to thank all of our fans and participants for your support and understanding. Good luck, have fun, and we hope to see you in Los Angeles!

I suspect this had more to do with liability regarding the way flights connect in reaching Bali than it does Indonesia itself.
That said, it definitely sucks for people who booked flights. Trip insurance feels like a scam, but sometimes it makes sense.
Is there a significant difference in health risk in LA vs Indonesia though? I would guess the largest risk of players getting infected is on the airport or plane travelling to the event, which applies to any location. Well, for the players anyway; having the event in LA does mean that staff has to travel less, so maybe that was their concern.
Yes, there is a significant difference: Indonesia doesn't have any reported cases of Wuhan coronavirus, while LA does.
March 22-22 in post is obviously a mistake, just to point that out.
Not to get alarmist or anything, but it is officially the largest quarantine in all human history
Good advice. Don't cough in to your hands, better your bent arm. If possible where you think there is an infection risk keep at least 1 meter away from others where possible, and away from people in general if you yourself think you might have it.

Yep, also a great piece of advice! It blows my mind how many people cough into their hands. It is such a bad habit that people learn early on (guilty myself) and we really need to get kids learning the arm trick.
