Pack opening statistics and saltiness

So, just opened my 125 United in Stormwind packs, and, I gotta say, I'm hella disappointed. Stat dump below:

  • Packs: 125
  • Total Cards: 625
    • Rarity Breakdown
      • Common: 453
      • Rare: 139
      • Epic: 29
      • Legendary: 4
  • Total dust value: 11030
    • Average Dust / Pack: 88.24
    • Average Dust / Card: 17.65

Compare and Contrast with Forged in the Barrens:

  • Packs: 127
    • Total Cards: 635
    • Rarity Breakdown
      • Common: 453
      • Rare: 145
      • Epic: 30
      • Legendary: 7
    • Total dust value: 12530
      • Average Dust / Pack: 98.66
      • Average Dust / Card: 19.73

I'm sure this all falls within statistical norms, but lowrolling Legendaries sucks (one was literally the 40th pack after the previous one). A ~10% decrease on average dust value is a bummer. Plus only one legendary (Raid the Docks) was on my wishlist.

I'm going to get the rewards track packs and use gold on new ones until I hit my next legendary (it's been 30 packs since the last, so it'll be quickish) and then start saving up for the next expansion.

    But there is one thing that bugs me. Although I have all 25 legendaries the Achievements tracker is stuck in 24/25

    • I was counting on winning the deck building to get the preorder bundle. Last time I bought cards was Karazhan.

      Same here - full Stormwind collection but it says im missing 1 Neutral Legendary....

      But, i personaly can't complain - with both Pre-Order Packs i opened 9 Legendarys (2 of them in Gold) a lot of Epics and if i remember correctly 7 or 8 in golden! And i did not count the Free Legendarys i got with the Pre-Order.

      After that i bought 53 Packs with gold and got 5 Legendarys and a decent amount of Epics. 

      Right now after dusting and collecting the Free Legendarys with login and Tavern Pass i got a full Stormwind Collection even tough it says im missing 1 ...

      Same here. I recently read in the Blizzard Bug Report forums, that this is a known issue that is caused by Flightmaster Dungar. Unfortunately I can't find anything official regarding this.

        FYI: They fixed it! At least it worked for me - i logged in today and saw that i have an Exclamation Mark at the Achievements - after i checked it showed the correct number of cards - full Collection :

  • Don't mind me, just flexing my 7 Legendaries / 12 Epics from 53 Packs.

    • Dang! That's... improbable. Nice one.

  • I opened around 25 packs. I got two legendaries: Anetheron and Sheldras Moontree. I also obtained around 9 epics and i'm not far from getting all commons but there are a ton of rares missing. It was an okay start for someone with few resources.

  • Opened 90 packs. 5 legendaries. 0 quests.

  • Opened roughly 40 packs with gold and got 5 epics and 3 legendaries; 2 of which were quests fortunately

  • This is the first time I've been so grateful. 8 legendaries from 85 packs. No pre-bundles. only gold.

     

  • Around 140 packs (preorder + 40 from gold + reward track/ ladder reward):

    9 legendaries (8 questlines + rogue disguise guy). Missed only Shaman and WL. Paladin ql came from the 5 golden packs.

    Preorder goldens: rat king and druid guy.

    Additionally I got Lothar as reward track reward and Paladin guy from Standard pack (reward)

    That makes a good collection. I have been lucky overall, because I opened a golden Maiev from some Phoenix packs lying around, too!

  • I bought the 60-pack bundle then bought 57 more with gold, and I opened 8 legendaries: Varian, King of Stormwind, Darkbishop Benedictus, Bolner Hammerbeak, Rise to the Occasion, Cornelius Roame, Jace Darkweaver (golden), Sheldras Moontree, and Raid the Docks. 

    The free legendaries I got are The Demon Seed, Lothar, Anetheron, and Lady Prestor from the battle pass. 

    Not bad at all! That's 8 legendaries in just 107 packs. I've been meaning to play some Warlock decks (quest and Handlock seem fun) and Pirate Warrior, and I'm relieved I unpacked Varian so I won't have to buy the tavern pass anymore just to get the Diamond version. The cosmetics in this pass just freaking suck (with the exception of Yrel), so I don't think it's worth buying. I'll just climb up the ranks with no XP boost, which might be easy enough. 

    I'm also amused that this is the 4th straight expansion that I've gotten a golden DH legendary. I've had golden Metamorphosis, Ace Hunter Kreen, Star Student Stelina, Death Speaker Blackthorn, and now Jace in my collection lol

  • Once again a statistically average opening(totally happy with that), but again with under average pulls in the legendary/epic slot.

     

    117 packs, all from gold. 8 legendaries, none golden and 22 epic + 1 golden

    Average dust per pack 99,91

    One double leggy pack ... being Darkbishop Benedictus and Maestra of the Masquerade :/

    The rest being both legendaries from DH and Shaman, Warrior quest and the Warlock legendary minion.

    Level 20 of the track gave me the Priest quest

     

    All in all, meeh...

  • Dreadful opening. About 70 packs and only 2 legendaries: Shaman guy and that useless one than let’s you discover when trading. Much better luck with epics, a bit less than one in every third pack.

      I got Auctioneer Jaxon and am hesitant about whether or not she is worth dusting. As it is now each class only has 1 tradeable cards with the exception of warrior who has 2, and most of the neutral tradeable cards are pretty lackluster (honestly I am pretty surprised with how little they did with the tradeable keyword this expansion). But people have speculated that tradeable does have the potential to be an evergreen keyword in which case she could be very useful.

    I hoped for the quests, at least I got one from RT - Final Showdown, althrough I don´t know if it´s viable.

  • 60 packs, i got Sheldras Moontree, The Demon Seed, Bolner Hammerbeak, Defend the Dwarven District and Lost in the Park.

    From the Pass: Grand Magus Antonidas and Lady Prestor.

    Overall i got a good amount of legendaries, cant really complain about that honestly. However in terms of Epics i feel like i was very unlucky. Got like 3-4 epics total. (not sure if thats unlucky or just average.) And i got 1 golden common and 2 golden rares, which feels like a low amount for 60 packs.

  • From the $80 preorder, some gold, and the Reward Track, I received the following:

    I received literally zero cards that were on my wishlist; I did however dust Maestra for Raid the Docks and went 5-1 with it yesterday. Still looking for Lost in the Park, Defend the Dwarven District, Darkbishop Benedictus, and/or Highlord Fordragon. Will probably end up destroying Seek Guidance for one of them.

    Edit: Crafted Lost in the Park and Highlord Fordragon, because reasons lol.

  • I got 5 legendary from 100 packs (all bought with gold) 

    - quest lock, quest mage, quest DH, quest warrior, and quest pally

    The numbers are average i think (1 in 20) but all are quest (which some are nerf-worthy) so i won't complain. I got enough tools to play around with.

    got Defend the Dwarven District at 20 lvl and I've crafted Find the Imposter

    Now only 4 quests are missing which is ok for me, I had only 2 quests at start of Un'goro and I'm happy with that I got almost all from 30 packs, lol.

    Also, Epics were generous this time. This might be the best 30 packs since the beginning of the Open Beta.

  • So I blew the entirety of my saved-up gold this expansion (haven't done that before, usually save a few thousand) because I knew there was a lot of legendaries I wanted. In 170 packs, I got 9 legendaries...and I didn't want any of them except one. The only one I was interested in that I got wasAnetheron. Wanted about half of the questlines and only got the Druid one. My legendaries were: Grand Magus Antonidas, Auctioneer Jaxon, the Rogue quest (that one I got off the additional free legendary off the reward track at lvl 20), the Druid Quest, The Rat King, Highlord Fordragon, Bolner Hammerbeak, Lothar, Cornelius Roame and Varian, King of Stormwind. I play Wild. All of these cards are useless.

    So I then had to follow that up with blowing all of my saved-up dust (10k) to craft the questlines I actually wanted. Still missing the Warrior questline (from the ones I want, otherwise I'm also missing Mage), and realised I don't have enough dust to craft Il'gynoth, so I crafted the DH quest for nothing.
