Wild Control Warlock Theorycraft

Hello, my name is DreadKill and I am a Hearthstone player since beta. I always liked the concept of Warlock, although I never really enioyed a particular archetype. With the introduction of Soul Fragment cards, I found this variation of Warlock quite fun to play.

This deck is a rather cheap, yet effective Soul Fragment Control Warlock deck. With testing so far, it has proven very effective against Control Warrior (both Big and Taunt variants).

The Deck

1. Deck base

The deck is based around the Soul Fragment package with some powerful additions like Brittlebone Destroyer and Flesh Giant.

2. Early game

While Warlock's early game is usually rather passive, relying mostly on the hero power, this decks makes those early turns not so boring anymore, thanks to some of the new cards in the Soul Fragment package. Spirit Jailer and Demonic Studies are wonderful 1-mana cards, with the former enabling early Soul Fragment synergies and the latter providing some card generation flexibility.

3. Card draw and generation

This deck has quite a few ways to help you draw and generate cards. Twisted Knowledge is a wonderful card and what makes it even better is the fact that you can get it for free from the Descent of Dragons solo adventure. Expired Merchant is targeted at either Soulciologist Malicia or Flesh Giant, althought it works just as well on Keymaster Alabaster or other high cost generated cards. Raise Dead is just wonderful, generating two minions, while also enabling synergies with cards from the Soul Fragment package or Brittlebone Destroyer, all while costing nothing at all (a whopping 0 mana)! As for actual card draw, Plot Twist is really good, helping reuse Aranasi Broodmother and healing you through the cycling of Soul Fragments.

4. Removal

This deck makes use of the new removal options added with the Soul Fragment package, while still using Siphon Soul, as the expansion has turned to a more late-game oriented playstyle. School Spirits is very effective aginst aggro, while Soul Shear and Shadowlight Scholar are particularly effective against single minions. Please note, the latter can also be used to deal face damage, should the situation demand so.

5. Modular deck

This deck can be changed quite easily, making it quite easy to replace the cards you don't own or don't like. Keeping the Soul Fragment package and a few powerful cards will ensure the deck is still viable.

Thank you!

If you read it all the way until here then really thank you a lot! I appreciate your time and I am waiting for your comments and opinions.
