Exodia Paladin - feat. Shirvallah, the Tiger
- OTK Paladin
- Wild
- Ranked
The win condition is to play Uther of the Ebon Blade, then bounce two different horsemen with Zola the Gorgon and Youthful Brewmaster. Finally, if you have 10 mana you can play both horsemen, Garrison Commander, and push the HP twice. GG. Remember you need 5 spots available on your board to pull off the OTK.
Some Card Explanations:
Crystology - The reason for the deck. It can pull Righteous Protectors, Bloodmage Thalnos, Crystalsmith Kangor, and Novice Engineers. So it can easily provide more card draw.
Garrison Commander - I'm running two of these in case Prismatic Lens raises the mana cost of one. (This happened to me twice in the first five games!!) Or, you can lose one of them to Dirty Rat and still be ok. You could run a second Youthful Brewmaster instead.
The second Garrison Commander can also be used to get a different horseman on the board after you bounce one. For example, if you have one horseman in hand but your HP next turn summons the same horseman, play Garrison Commander to get a different horseman to bounce.
Solemn Vigil - Almost broken. Great card draw for usually cheap mana. Sometimes you can clear the board, then you play one for 0 or 1 mana, draw the second one and play that too. Massive Cycle!!
Cards to Consider:
Dark Conviction - Good tech card. I may try it.
Muster for Battle - Usually good against aggro.
Equality - Def consideration for defense. Use with Consecration or Wild Pyromancer for board clear.
Truesilver Champion - Can be great against aggro. Sucks late game when you have Uther of the Ebon Blade anyway.
Holy Wrath - Could be added for an additional win con w/ Baleful Bankers
Sunkeeper Tarim - Can't believe I'm not running him atm. I'll def try him out.
Stonehill Defender - Good against aggro. Plus, Crystology can pull it. But I think this deck is more about cycle and less about Taunts. It may be worth a try.
Which cards can you remove?
Maybe one Righteous Protector, Bloodmage Thalnos, maybe Hammer of Wrath.
If you don't have Zola the Gorgon, a second Youthful Brewmaster is fine.
If you remove spells (and don't add any), Shirvallah, the Tiger will be harder to reduce.
That reminds me, Shirvallah, the Tiger is really good to help survive late game. This deck can draw really fast, especially with Prismatic Lens and Solemn Vigil after some AoE spells.
64% winrate after 36 games at ranks 10-4
Imo, people usually won't see this deck coming. They usually mulligan wrong because they will assume you're Odd Paladin -- that's one advantage control decks have when there is a good aggro deck w/ the same class. Then they'll think you're Holy Wrath Paladin because it plays similar. I always enjoy taking down a Warrior with a ton of armor.
Thanks for Looking!! Good Luck!!!
