Voyage OTK Questline shaman

I may have found a new OTK deck for the new Standard rotation. It's Bioluminescence OTK Shaman, for all the players who will miss toying with Bolnar + Y'shaarj shenanigans.

How do you perform the OTK? You first play Stormcaller Bru'kan to double each spell you play. Then, you copy Bearon Gla'shear's Battlecry with Brilliant Macaw. Afterwards, you play 1/2 copies of Bio, all of which will be cast twice, and fire Lightning Bolt/Overdraft at their dome. A single Bio + Lightning bolt with QL Bru'kan played is already 34 damage, but against opponents with higher Armor, you can cast double Bio to deal 62 damage. Bracing Cold can push the damage break points values even further or stop cards like Counterspell from ruining your day - you can then play double Bolt for a WHOPPING 124 DAMAGE! It's not the highest breakpoint yet - with 1x Bio discounted or all minions from Bearon surviving, you can deal UP TO 184 DAMAGE! If you have both Bios discounted, then you can deal 240 DAMAGE!!!

Ok... those higher values are likely overkill, but keep them in mind if we ever see Mo'arg Forgefiend with Tamsin's Phylactery dominate the metagame anytime soon, or more likely Lightforged Cariel for that matter. Otherwise you can perform the first OTK combo just fine even without Bru'kan played by playing 2x Bio and One Bolt, but he and/or proper Bracing Cold discounts are crucial to pierce through opponents with more than 31 effective HP, which is how much you deal at max without Bru'kan and Cold discounts.

The rest of the deck is standard post-rotation QL stuff to survive early game and progress your Questline to then double each spell cast.

A special mention goes to Queen Azshara. She's there to give you crucial flexibility with Ring of Tides as to either speed up your QL progression or use it as a 1-Mana copy of Bioluminescence that we replace one from our innate deck with. You will often play Bru'kan before actually performing the OTK, letting Azshara's slight shortcomings fade away. Seriously, her Ring can bail you out situations you normally wouldn't get over with, like clearing a more durable board, and you still get to leave it for OTK shenanigans that, with 1-Cost Bio, make it easier to perform the max damage output if you fancy winning spectacularly.

A replacement for Azshara can be Krag'wa, the Frog. While they aren't as flexible as Ring is and disable 2x Bio combos, they help you with QL progression by returning Overload cards to your hand, and they also let you use Bolts/Overdraft for board control purposes before you retrieve them back to use in your OTK. It's definitely a budget option, but worthy of consideration in certain matchups.

PS: NEVER PLAY MACAW TO COPY STORMCALLER BRU'KAN'S BATTLECRY! (spoiler that it doesn't double the double-cast from Bru'kan - just don't)
