Deck Overview

This is my personal take on the new quest shaman deck. Like all other representatives of this archtype, it tries to complete the quest as fast as possible, in order to produce disgusting value from the lackeys, their generators and other battlecry minions (Mind Control Tech, Swampqueen Hagatha). The difference here lies in the board flooding strategy - the player summons a lot of bombs and other tokens, buffs them via the lackeys' battlecries or Flametongue Totems and finishes off the opponent with a Bloodlust.

Besides Swampqueen Hagatha the deck also contains some late-game tools like Siamat, Shudderwock and Pit Crocolisk, in case we stumble upon some slow decks and run out of resources in the late-game. The crocolisks can be very helpful, if we completely lose control over the board and need to inflict the last bit of damage to kill off our opponents.

Activating "Corrupt the Waters"

Play battlecry minions; there should be plenty of those in the deck. In order to comlete the quest faster, I suggest finding a lackey generator and a Bog Slosher in the mulligan stage, so that you bounce the prior card and acquire more battlecry minions in your hand.

Mulligan Strategy

General strategy. Quest (duh) and 2-drops (preferably lackey generators).

Against aggro or midrange decks. Look for Weaponized Wasp (if you already have a lackey generator in your hand), Sandstorm Elemental (against druid or other token decks), Mind Control Tech (if you face quest druid), SN1P-SN4P/Flametongue Totem (if you have Whirliglider) or Spellbreaker (against mech paladin and tempo rogue).

Against control and combo. The lackey generators and the bouncers are the most important minions here. We want to complete the quest fast and gain as much value as possible. Explodinator is also very useful, since you force the opponent to clear your minions, else you can set up a Bloodlust turn. If you find Swampqueen Hagatha, then you can keep her.

Matchups

Aggressive opponents are the only obstacle this deck faces on the ladder. So it's really important how you mulligan for those decks (check the previous section) and how you play your lackey generators. Against tempo rogue or quest druid for example their first few turns aren't really scary, so I hold onto the lackey generators and try to combo them with Bog Slosher. I want to have more tools, which will help me complete the quest faster and which will help me defeat the opponent's annoying threats, when the double battlecry hero power is in action. Against hyper aggressive decks (zoolock) I try to fight for the board as much as possible and sometimes I play Bog Slosher or Weaponized Wasp for tempo, in order to maintain the quest's progression.

Control or combo decks shouldn't be a problem. We have so many tools and so much time to outvalue them, that I don't think it's necessary to explain how to play against them. Just find lackey generators and Bog Sloshers in the mulligan stage, play them conservatively and gain disgusting value from the lackeys. Build a big board for Bloodlust. In the games, while I was playing this deck, Swampqueen Hagatha often offered me the latter spell. Since this decklist tends to build a wide board, picking BL should be an optimal choice most of the time.
