Making Prelates

Since opening Making Mummies, this is the best idea I've been able to come up with for making use of the quest.

Making Mummies was the quest that I wanted to open the least since it forces you to play bad and mediocre Reborn minions and Reborn is a one-off mechanic, so it will never get more support, but I figured "hey, I own the card now.  May as well try to get some use out of it."

My first attempts to use the quest was in a Buff/Egg Paladin deck, but it struggled to hold its own against almost everything.  There was one interaction I found that had some level of promise though; Immortal Prelate.

Even though it keeps the Emperor Wraps debuff making the Prelate stay as a 2/2, Spikeridged Steed enabled it to be used as a powerful survival tool since each copied prelate would have a total of 8 health when you add in the [Hearthstone Card (Stegadon) Not Found] and it requires two hits to get through.  Combine this with the fact that you can Emperor Wraps it each turn as well and that makes 16 health in taunts that requires 4 hits to break through!  Slap a Lightforged Blessing on there and you have infinite healing as well!

This deck is built specifically to make use of this combo, using a lot of card draw (Crystology, Flash of Light, Loot Hoarder, Divine Favor and Solemn Vigil) to assemble the pieces. Bone Wraith, Ancestral Guardian and Khartut Defender help out with the survivability a bit while also meeting the quest requirements.  The other Reborn minions are included just because they are the cheapest ones available and are needed to consistently complete the quest.

Nerubian Egg is included as an option for a more aggressive use of Emperor Wraps once you have stabilized with the Immortal Prelates since it and [Hearthstone Card (Stegadon) Not Found] only have 2 attack.

A single Call to Arms is included for late game once the prelate train is going to reload the board with taunts if need be.  DO NOT play it before the quest is done since recruiting Reborn minions does not count towards progressing it.

This looks sweet. I'll give it a spin. How is it working for you so far?

It's been ok.  The Prelate stall plan is rather slow though since everything only has two attack. Games can take a long time since you end up stalling them out till fatigue.

If I had Da Undatakah I'd use him as the Spikeridge/Lifesteal/Copy target and include Kobold Sandtrooper and Leper Gnome to speed up the killing process.
