While Wild Growth has been out of the meta for a time since its nerf, the recent release of Winged Guardian has brought a Midrange, Dragon/Ramp/Embiggen Druid back into the game leveraging the new ramp abilities provided by Breath of Dreams. It remains to be seen how this deck will fare over time as the meta settles and new cards are released, but for now it's putting up an appreciable presence, making this a good time to look at it.

One thing to note upfront is that this isn't a discussion of nerfs. While you could make a case for nerfing Breath of Dreams, you could also make a case for nerfing tons of stuff from Descent of Dragons, given the immense power creep in the set. For what it's worth, I'm a bit pleased that Druid at least has a deck to work with now after its period of dormancy.

Most of the posts I make tend to be information centric, whether it is about a bug, statistics, a guide, or maybe just questioning the way things are done. All of these things fall under "discussion", I suppose. I think that a category I would really like to have is something along the lines of "information". People would post guides, and discussion of the way things work, whereas "discussion" can be where people whine about the meta or give opinions on things, like this post. I'm not sure who I need to talk to to get this type of flair introduced, but I think it would be helpful for people looking for guides in particular.

This card was created for Hearthpwn's Custom Class competition #5 "Trials and Errors". I worked more on it and i wish to share it with you guys to see what you think. So what's a Bloodburner?

Description

All magic needs fuel. Most mages use mana as it is safe (as much as it can be) and plentiful. But it's not the most powerful, no, that would be Blood Magic. To use one's own blood as fuel is incredibly dangerous and most would run dry in a few casts. in truth the only ones who can wield it properly are lizardfolk with their powerful regenerative abilities.

Bloodburners use their own health as fuel, self damage is a key mechanic of the class. A powerful tool is always present at their disposal, that being the Hero Power: "Blood to Fire". Odd mage showed what 2 damage for 2 mana can do early and late game, but like Warlocks, you also pay 2 life yourself whenever you use it. But this can be an advantage, especially to activate the class' keyword Fresh Blood:

Fresh Blood can trigger during your turn or the opponent's as well, forcing him to think if he should go face or eliminate the minions with this keyword.

In short, the class is centered around these:

• Self Damage as a downside to powerful effects but also something you can benefit from
• Hero Power Interactions will be present in almost all sets, the class relying heavily on the Hero Power to win games
• Powerful Spells. Since blood magic is so potent, it makes sense they'd have some neat tricks up their sleeves
• Dragons! Reptile people like big winged lizards, who knew?

I'm really bad at remembering exactly how these "non-chain" (like in expansion drops) work for maximizing value. So new Lunar New Years Quests start tomorrow. How many quests should I have open tomorrow morning (EST) to max reroll and not miss any?

I can't recall the actual workings - do we get a normal quest at tomorrow before the event starts (presumably at 09:00 PST like everything else) and then a SECOND event quest once the event starts? I want to have the 2 to reroll without missing a free "extra" one if that's part of it. So do I need to save ONLY today's quest & tomorrow's normal quest to reroll (i.e. I saved yesterday's quest too - should I complete it?)? Or is it just the one quest tomorrow so I should have yesterday's and today's quest saved?

Don't get me wrong, I love Tirion. Playing minions like Boogeymonster is silly but it feels great when they work out.

I've played 12 games with Tirion and got 11 wins. One loss might be the first game, so I'm on a 11-win streak, which is amazing.

1 mana gain 2/2, 3/3 in the early game and then going up to 7/7, is it too powerful? What is your experience with him so far?

As some of you remember, War of the Dark was a brilliant April 1st joke inspired by recent MTG set.

I want to notice that some of the predictions turned out to be not far from truth.

We actually got a large number of Hero Cards: total of 16 if we count different Galakrond forms.

Also it seems that in the final chapter of Galakrond's awakening both League of Explorers and League of EVIL have to battle with Galakround. This counts as "two teams banding together" to fight elder "destructive power".

Yeah, I know it's a huge stretch. But anyway kudos to our fluffy prophets.

Introduction

It was purely by chance that these three factions would cross paths at this mysterious island. I mean, take a look at these goodies! The lost city of Uldazir, completely untouched, and untapped? Well, mostly untapped. Ignore the native Trolls that worship this old abandoned technology, and the ever-growing army of Nagas amassing just on the other side of the island. Beyond that, the island is mostly untouched! Who knows what could lie in this metropolis-turned-Catacomb. Something to fill the Bligewater's Cartels coffers for decades? Never before seen Titan technology to archive the existence of in the Scryer's endless Archive's?  Who knows? After all, it's just a coincidence that all these armies converged on this one island... Right?

Themes and Mechanics

This expansion doesn't have a new keyword. Instead, it has an all new minion tribe—the Construct! These Construct lied dormant for a millenia, but they've been reawakened to meet these new foes in the halls of Uldazir! Constructs are weak and unimpressive at first, but have synergies that buff the Constructs that come out after them to overwhelm your opponent with giant, undefeatable minions.

Hero Power synergy makes a return. The trolls on the island have various idols and traditions, and gather strength from rituals that involve them honoring their fallen heroes. There will be various ways to trigger your Hero Power, and several minions will get bonuses every time you use your Hero Power.

With The Tel'Abim Anomaly will bring back the Tri-Class mechanic. The Mages, Priests and Warriors belong to The Scryers, and they will be one classes that focus on reactivating and harnessing the power of the Titanforged Constructs on the island. The Hunters, Rogues and Shamans belong to the Bilgewater Cartel, who have funded the operation of this motley crew of Pirates looking to plunder more than any Pirate has ever plundered before. and the Druids, Paladins, and Warlocks belong to the third faction, and they will all have a focus on Menagerie-like effects. Each faction will have 1 Rare card, and 1 Legendary card.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I wonder if anyone has tips or faced the same problem.
In short: I lost my emailadress and don't remember with what name I made my hearthstone account, thus blizzard doesn't want to help me recover my account.
Last week I had to confirm my account with my emailadress and it turned out I lost this account. It is blocked and I can't provide enough information to outlook to recover it. I turned to blizzard and had to give my name (and afterwards probably birthday etc.), but turned out I gave up some bullshit answers 5 years ago when I made the account. I've got plenty of other information to prove it is my account (bank statements, screenshots and they can probably see from what computer I played), but it seems that is not enough.

I play daily, have a pretty complete collection and put some money in it, so obviously I want my account back. Do you have some tips for me in this position or have had the same problem? Please let me know.

So I just cracked the Legend Barrier for the first time. Usually I don't bother because I don't wanna spend the effort only to get a bad losing streak and get stuck between ranks forever.....but apparently Embiggen Druid is so OP right now that I could just roll through most of my games.

It might just be one of the least counterable decks I have ever played. Sure, it depends on draw RNG a lot, but if it gets a good curve there's basically fuckall you can do to stop it.

So yeah, I guess I'll be enjoying my extra rewards at the end of the month and won't need to bother going for Rank 5 next season.

Also I'm gonna have as much fun as I can with Winged Guardian before it gets nerfed into oblivion. Turns out there'S a reason why Soggoth the Slitherer was statted the way he was.

After all my complaining I have made it to rank 5 for only the 3rd time in my time playing. I have horrible short term memory due to head injuries. I used E Druid and a Galakron Warrior with Bomb package to get there (Bomb Warrior is my all time favorite deck)

Pretty self-centred of me to make a thread about this, but needed to share my joy with this awesome community.

After playing for almost 2 years, and never spending a dollar, I finally made it with quest Hunter! (dekkster list with hyena replacing halazzi) 

Have gone 51-30 (62% WR) and not a single mirror! Closest was a highlander hunter quest build. Meta breaker? Haha

Have taken some screenshots on my phone but can't figure out how to upload them sorry! 

they just always get ice block into reno into perfect kazakus spell into perfect random spells into just kill me now please...can't even go to casual to try and get away from it they're literally everywhere. 

Anyone else feel this way?  The Ramp Druid/Res Priest is awful to play against.  A monkey could pilot those decks. How hard is it to throw Taunt minions out every turn that have reborn and regne health?  Its ridiculous....done with it.  Battlegrounds if I play at all. 

Hello everyone, as the title states I need your help.

I've recently been making custom modes and formats for Hearthstone in hopes of getting enough people behind an idea in order to convince Team 5 to bring something new to Hearthstone. At this point in time I have two previous works. I made an outline of a Tournament Mode that I think would suit the game, people had their criticisms but overall the reaction was positive. I also made a new format called Explorer, that shrinks the amount of legal cards in a Wild-like format as time goes on. Shaking up the meta on a monthly schedule does appeal to a lot of people. Of course, no idea of mine is perfect and there is an issue that myself and another reader talked about.

I need your help, and all you have to do is answer some questions. Now I do ask that you re-read all of the questions once you've written down your answers. You're not obligated to respond to this in anyway, I just need some help. 

If you guys remember this article I wrote back in September, this will be an alteration of the Grandmaster Format from that post. Grandmaster is what I'm designing to essentially create a better competitive ladder. No grinding, no ranked floors, and no mindless repetition.

I recommend that you copy-paste all the questions in your reply and just erase the questions and fill it in with your answers, that'll make it much easier for me to follow. If you want to add any additional information on a question (just put it in parentheses).

Looks like cards from Galakrond's awakening are playable.

I just played a game now in the tavern brawl against the first boss. He played a portal and got a Chaos Gazer .

Are cards not unlocked supposed to be already playable and out in the game?

Did someone else had this kind of game? Also can someone tell me how to show an image here? I have a screen shot of it

Title says most of it - there's some great cards being released supporting archtypes that needed a buff. I've really enjoyed the paladin Air Raid card in my homebrew dragon-heal-pure paladin (great vs face hunter) and had some fun with the beast embiggen druid that's currently doing the rounds here and on hearthpwn. 

Anybody found a good/fun deck for the new mage elemental or anything else of note from these new additions?

You can discover cards that are not released yet.. dunno if it was intended or not but turns out it's possible.

Do you think it's a bug? or just lazy design from blizzard

Last season I was not able to reach my goal (rank 5) so I started 2 ranks lower this month. However, I'm climbing pretty easily with Galakrond Zoo Warlock, maybe I was lucky with the matchups (only encountered 2 rogues so far). So I expect to reach rank 5 in my next session (hopefully today).

What about you? What are your goals fo this season? Are you succeeding?

With the release of a new adventure mode comes - sometimes - the challenge of getting across a rough encounter and the ambition of conquering the heroic difficulty level to add yet an other card back to your collection. With the most recent solo content released, Galakrond's Awakening, came the enjoyment but also the underwhelming triumph with no glory - the first act being particularly easy to complete - I figure I could start up a thread ahead of time to exchange tips and tricks, if difficulty may rise : collectively, we are smarter (to some extend ; am I opening a parenthesis within a parenthesis? (Yes, but also no)).

If you didn't succeed on your first try, well ... we feel a tad sorry for you, but won't judge. Instead, we'll give advice and solutions for you to get ahead with your unquenchable thirst for card back.

For instance, I completed the Evil side with your almost typical Standard Galakrond Shaman deck, but with a focus on healing and infinite Shudderwock. I then completed the explorer side using Hinghlander Hunter - the Tier 1 standard list - nothing original. Bomb warrior was enjoyable but not fitted for every boss ... wouldn't suggest that one. Some others were suggesting on an other thread that the Wild side of your collection was the way to go ; Rez Priest being a power house, Exodia Mage being golden as well.
