    Obligatory burgle rogue support.

But also, does this go in quest mage? It probably doesn't make the cut just because it isn't a spell like the other 1-drops, but it is something to think about.

This post is discussing the wild format.

This card seems insane to me it's a really cheap discover card much better than babbling book.

AMAZING card! Supports [Hearthstone Card (Bazaar Burglarly) Not Found] Rogue and it's just a solid card. Both classes will most likely play this. Wait a second... this card discovers.... and it's also a mage card... I feel bad already for WILD players... Oh wait i'm a wild player... oh oh. NOT [THAT ONE quest which name i do not dare say] MAGE NOOOO!

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Super strong and fantastic for burgle Rogue.  Super cheap generators on a body are almost always played, so I have high hopes for this card.

I feel like this should be spellburst but I guess they needed combo to make it rouge. Looks pretty strong since you get to choose what you get from it so yeah id play it.

This card reminds me of a less OP version of Reno's treasures from Tombs of Terror.

Vendetta-enabler in mirror matches. And whem compared to babbling book, it's not even close even with the combo-requirement.

Small Spell Mage might make a return? Obviously very strong in Rogue, especially if they get more Burgle support.

The combo aspect makes it a bit difficult for Highlander Mage to use (unless you just need to fill your curve). Either way, 1-mana combos are usually rather easy to pull off if you have low-cost cards.

I was just about to point out how sad it is that Rogue currently has no real payoff Legendary for Burgling and they're not gonna get one seeing how all class legendaries are dual class (and I doubt they would make a Burgle legendary as a dual class), but then I remembered Bazaar Burglary  exists. I guess that's not exactly a great card all things considered, but hey, eventually we might reach the critical mass of burgle cards so the quest handicap will finally be outweighed.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

    5-star card with a 5-star flavor text.

Fantastic for any Mage, fantastic for Burgle Rogue. What's not to love here?

Rogue Combo is absurd now. Further cheap Mage damage spells will chain react with other combo cards.

I generally am a fan of cheap minions that add things to your hand, and this card is no exception. Discovering a spell is pretty good, nothing to get too excited about, but it is a solid effect.

Love this in rogue. Not sure about Mage. Babbling Book, Violet Spellwing kind of take this spot in my mind. Although discover is very powerful, so maybe I'm wrong here.

    Also love the flavor here!

This minion is really good for Tempo Rogue decks.  Mage has arguably the best spells in HS in Standard right now.  Not sure if this fits as well into Mage decks, but maybe?

Burgle rogue support, yay!! Comparable to Pharaoh Cat, but probably better. You could easily squeeze her into most rogue wich is just fine by me.

Strong for Burgle Rogue (which is itself quite weak tho), not so strong for Mage.

In Wild, QMage is already an extremely tight deck, and this card with its Combo requirement is in average no faster than Banana Buffoon or Primordial Glyph or Magic Trick, so it won't find room there.

Rogues can really do with mage spells, and is the main beneficiary of this card in my opinion. Might just replace Pharaoh Cat as the main 1 drop, since its essentially the same body but with a much more reliable effect.

Not sure, but does this card itself count as part of Bazaar Burglary? If the answer is yes, then yes, this is busted.

Obviously a good card for Burgle Rogue, assuming Burgle Rogue is a playable archetype. But the problem lately with Burgle Rogue is less the ways to generate cards from another class and more the payoffs (today those payoffs are Bazaar Burglary, Underbelly Fence, and Vendetta, but the archetype needs more cards like Tess Greymane). Regardless, this is good enough that it may make running a "burgle package" in some other Rogue deck exciting.

It's kind of card to say whether this is useful for Mage, since they already do a great job generating resources. I suspect that it's not right now, because at the point that I'm doing spell combo shenanigans, I want to play Mana Cyclone, but I don't hate picking this card up from something like Dune Sculptor to make big chains of randomly generated cards.

Okay, the card is great for Rogue. But for Mage it's actually not that good imo. It's a combo card which is fine for Rogue as it's their class mechanic and they have cards to support it (0-mana spells). But Mage doesn't really have that kind of support for this mechanic. It's a downside as it requires a card to be played first and that means it's not a 1 drop for Mage. Also, there's a problem with the flavor of the card. It makes sense for Rogue with all their burglary stuff but for Mage it's just a regular Discover a Spell. Nothing unique or special about it for them. Shouldn't this also discover Rogue spells for Mage? I don't get it. It looks extremely lame from the Mage's perspective.

I really don't understand why there wasn't a way to make this discover a Rogue card as well, like depending on your class or something.
Maybe we'll also get another dual that discovers only Rogue cards?

Mage has a lot of good 1-mana spells and is probably not much worse than rogue at activating combos. It is also worth noting rogue won't often play it on turn 1 either, especially if they go first, because what other card can they play when there's nothing to Backstab or Shadowstep? And if they go second, mage gets the coin anyway.

Regarding flavour, mage's equivalent to rogue's burglary stuff has always been the generation of more mage spells. Sure it is less interesting, but why would mage even want rogue spells? They don't benefit from going outside the mage class, and mage spells are normally stronger (or at least less situational) than rogue ones. You'd surely rather have a selection of mage spells that are almost always useful, than risk things like Deadly Poison and Shadowstep when your deck is just not designed to make use of them.

You can expect the dual class cards to be a bit better in one class than the other, but if they are all designed well both classes will still benefit from them (and hopefully without breaking class identity after ignoring class-specific keywords like combo and overload).

I agree but I think most here are missing the  main purpose of dual class cards. They will have multiple uses but their main strength will be to shore up or eliminate weaknessess in classes and make certain class archetypes possible that were previously not viable because of class limitations.

For instance I'm a rogue main and i'm excited about this card because it is one piece of hopefully more to come to allow for a true control rogue archetype to finally be viable.

If you look at the dual cards for rogue they are rogue/mage and rogue/warrior. Warrior and Mage have great control tools, and if Rogue has access to these tools they could actually create a true viable control deck.

I'm excited to see more of these dual/cards to see if this archetype will become a reality.

I am of the opposite mind to you here as I strongly believe class weaknesses should remain as weaknesses, otherwise classes become too homogeneous. I am a rogue main too and usually play slow value decks so would make good use out of control tools, but I still think if you want to play a traditional control deck you should just go to one of the control classes. You get a more diverse array of decks by making classes great at some things and rubbish at others, than by making all classes OK at everything.

I like to think of it this way: for every control card you give rogue there is a more uniquely rogue card you do not give them. So getting control tools might mean cards like Pogo-Hopper or Shadowcaster never exist, which would be a shame.

Bringing this back to dual class cards, I think they should be supporting what the classes are already good at, but with a flair from each class to make the same broad archetypes feel fresh. So rogue/warrior cards could be weapon related* with effects typical of each class, but not with a bunch of healing/armour, which would be more appropriate for a warrior/paladin card.

(* I'm quietly hoping they finally worked out how to make a dual wield weapon and it will be the rogue/warrior legendary).

mages have gotten some tools to help discount their spells which will be needed for this girl to see play.

Rogues already have cheap spells at their disposal, so them using this isn't going to be an issue.

What will make this little gnome shine are the spells available to Mage - the board clears will always be solid picks, but there's also a lot of good secrets and some single target removal spells Rogues can take advantage of, too.

Hmn... contrary to what people suggest of taking this card towards a Burgle package, I see it having more potential in Galakrond Rogue actually. It could take the spot of Pharaoh Cat as the 1-Cost unit in the deck. The archetype may get ripped due to nerfs to Galakrond, the Nightmare himself, but cards like these can help the archetype due to access to tools Rogues normally can't afford consistently. Mage spells are nothing to scuff at.

Hard to think of any Mage deck that would run this card. Maybe Tempo, but that archetype isn't as hot as Highlander. In Highlander, there is a bit of hurdle to trigger the Combo effect, but having some more spells is nothing of ashameful.

Great for burgle rogue and tempo mage, both decks that are not really a thing right now but could be with a little more support. I'll have to see the rest of the cards, but it could work.

Great card for Rogue... not so much Mage imo. It may find a use in Mage, maybe not, but it more than likely find a home in almost any Rogue Deck.

Mage spells are generally good. Combos are generally easy to pull off. (1)-cost 1/2s are a solid statline. This is a pretty nifty card and I think we'll be seeing her around quite a bit.

Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.

Yup, i agree that this card will probably slot itself into many decks, maybe more so into Rogue decks than Mage, but both could be true.

Super strong 1-drop. Rogues will love this, and tempo Mage might be plausible thanks to this and some of the other minions added this expansion.

I'm looking forward to trying out a tempo Quest Rogue with this nifty minion.

An incredibly solid little play - a mediocre body, sure, but the effect is one that both Mage and Rogue will be overjoyed to have. Mage loves when it can generate more spells, and Rogues will love having access to some of Mage's ridiculous power cards. That it helps with Rogues' burglary cards is just icing.

Very interesting early game card for both classes. Better support for burgle rogue thanks to the mage spell but I reckon that mage will get some usage out of this too.

Additionally, mage have tons of usefull spells.

    4.5/5 card.

Mage can discover its own spells just fine. Rogue on the other hand could use a Fireball or Frostbolt once in a while...

This being a discover effect, rather the random, makes this card so much better. I've lost count the amount of times a Babbling Book has dropped a useless spell on me, only for it to sit in my hand the entire game. I do think Rogue will use this more than Mage, but I think it will find it's way into most decks.

When compared with Pharaoh Cat, I don't think this minion actually stacks up that well. While the random card generation of Pharaoh Cat is a downside over Wand Thief, Cat makes up for that by being playable by itself on turn 1 and to activate combos later in the game. Wand Thief needs another card to get its power, which is not ideal in a 1 drop. On top of that Rogues have started to favor tempo over tempo in their 1 drops by cutting Pharaoh Cat for Spymistress. In Mage, I think Wand Thief makes less sense as combo is harder to trigger in Mage than in Rogue. Overall, I just don't see the role this serves besides some fringe Thief Rogue support.
