This card reminds me of Glaivebound Adept. It is a very powerful mid-game card that deals a significant amount of damage with a good body attached. If Apexis Blast was enough to get people to try No-Minion Mage then this should be enough to get people to play Soul Fragment Demon Hunter.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
The big scary of the soul fragment cards imo. It synergizes with all DH weapons to a revolting degree and provides a good body that you have to deal with after getting smacked upside the head with 5+ attack. With this card as its main payoff, I predict that aggressive DH lists with some soul fragment cards will be run just for extra reach/burst.
Mildly confused as to what kind of deck Soul Demon Hunter is supposed to be, but this goes into pretty much anything anyways. The tempo swing is simply massive.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I think this is good in a full aggro deck that wants to finish the oponent, but if that is the case I don't see Soul Fragments playing in the deck.
I'm giving it a 3/5 but it depends completly on how the fragments end up being for DH.
The most BROKEN card i have seen printed this expansion. And i certainly hope there won't be even more broken cards.
Turn 4 Marrowslicer to deal 4 dmg, than turn 5 Soulshard Lapidary to deal 9. This is 13 damage in pretty early 2 turns. This card will certainly make it so Control DH wont exist, purely because people are gonna ABUSE the ever living **** out of this card to rank up to Legend FAST. (Before it gets 100% nerfed) If you compare this to Glaivebound Adept, Soulshard Lapidary just powercreeps it HARD. And if you didn't get Soulshard Lapidary for turn 5, than you can still Glaivebound Adept instead, because these cards might as well be used alongside each other to deal even more FACE dmg. This card is NUTS.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This will push Fragment DH into a very aggressive direction, unlike Shardshatter Mystic which goes the opposite direction of being control. Although, I wouldn't be surprised to put both of them in.
Pretty nice card if you can activate it. The trouble will be activating it.
As it stands, this probably misses Odd DH because the only activator is Spirit Jailer (Shouldn't it be gaoler?)
This post is discussing the wild format.
Scary one, this one is. Glavebound Adept 2.0
Only DH and warlocks can generate and get benefits from those soul fragments? I wonder why. Something lore related?
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” ― George Bernard Shaw

This card will make it so that any DH deck will want to run soul fragments. Huge damage for tempo and a control tool for control dh
The class has synergy for this kind of effects with cards like Warglaives of Azzinoth or "if you attacked this turn do X" but you can get a similar effect for 2 mana and no requirement with Twin Slice, I don't see this card as the reason to run soul fragments in DH it's more of a card that will be there.. the reason to run soul fragments is the 3 mana Duskbreaker.
If we set aside the fact that you have to attack with your face, this compares pretty reasonably to Cumulo-Maximus and Apexis Blast, both of which are very powerful cards. As a 5-drop, this curves out well with Soul Fragment generation tools, especially Marrowslicer.
5 damage is a lot so this looks pretty threatening, and 5 damage is the point where it can kill most minions if need be.
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Reminds me of Glaivebound Adept but you have to do the work yourself (attacking) so ofc this will see play or at least experimentation.
Well this card looks kinda scary - not sure about it tough. Will it be strong? i guess so , but im also not sure it this will find it`s place in some sort of Aggro decks.
I think it is maybe a little slow for aggro to work with the Fragments so i guess this fits more in a control type Demon Hunter and therefor it is a little slower and that makes it a little less scary :)
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Why the hell wouldn't this be playable would be an unsolvable riddle. It does a stupefying 5 damage, leaves a 5/5 on board and all it takes is but soul fragments, which Spirit Jailer and Soul Shear would easily provide, being strong cards on their own right.
Its basically Firelands Portal came early, and on an aggressive class as well. If you could imagine a better Glaivebound Adept, and this would be it.
This will definitely see play, it's too powerful. Getting a dream curve of Marrowslicer on turn 4 then following up with this for a whopping 9 damage is fantastic. I think this might get nerfed to 6 mana if it's too effective, because let's face it, DH is just too efficient of a class right now, it's too well-designed.
+5 attack really is something! Great tempo swing for a slower DH deck.
5/5 in stats is acceptable for a 5 mana minion.
What makes this minion good isn't it's stats for cost but how it curves for Demon Hunter from Marrow Slicer into this, allowing for Demon Hunter to deal 9 damage with their weapon on turn 5 - which is pretty massive.
because of her ability to give your hero extra attack there's a potential for her to be placed in tempo OR control decks, tempo obviously wanting to deal extra damage for lethal and control to remove high value targets on your opponents side of the board.
Outside of it's soul fragment synergy this minion is just good enough to play in arena by itself, as I keep saying it's stats are pretty good.
After the nerf to Metamorphosis, Demon Hunters will possibly start having trouble when dealing with 5 Health minions.... and it's gone!
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Sort of depends on how good soul fragments are, but this card looks SCARY.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Good basic body with a powerful effect if given the right setup. Just picture playing this when you have Warglaves of Azinoth. Of course, you would likely take a ton of damage doing that as well.

This looks a lot like pure paladin:you have to put the full mini-set in to your deck, and it's your win condition but there is no one who knows what else to put in there.
This card is insane and is going to continue to push DH as an aggro class.
5 Mana deal 5 and summon a 5/5 is a very powerfull Swing. But I think the Condition makes this balanced. There's only 3 DH Cards (6 with Copies) that shuffle Soul Shards AND you need to not draw the Shards, which is actually very likely because of DH's Cycle.

AMAZING with Marrowslicer especially on curve, otherwise meh. Kinda inconsistent to trigger, though I could be wrong.
Marrowslicer curves extremely well into this and both cards offer a lot of face damage. I think this, plus Marrowslicer and Spirit Jailer offer a lot of good tempo and face damage that Tempo DH loves.
For glory, honor, and gold!
(5) 5/5 +5 ...!
That's a lot of 5s... Team5
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Marrowslicer on turn 4 and this card on turn 5 is a super strong combo. Probably we will see in some dh tempo deck
Damn this is going to be useful in aggro decks. I just hope my opp draws the soul fragments first
5 attack on a 5/5 body!? Pretty nice
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Value and tempo is insane with Marrowslicer.
Soul Control looking good. Don't even need anymore.
The Soul Fragment cards will see play.
Free 5 attack on soul decks and nice stats
All hail the banshee queen.
10 damage for 5 mana?
Oh, it's Demon Hunter, that makes sense.
Just wish there was more soul frags enablers.
OP
Reminiscent of Cumulo-Maximus, but I think this card will actually live up to the hype since the Soul Fragment package seems very strong. Maybe it's too slow for DH, but since all of the DH nerfs, it might create an aggro/burst Soul Fragment deck list.
Big tempo swing card for DH. I reckon this will be put into all DH soul fragment decks purely for the aggression levels this promotes.
Big tempo swing.
You can trade minions ir go face and leave a 5/5 minion... Just for 5 mana.
DH still broken.
By The Holy Light!
This card will sadly see a lot of play lol.
Just very good.
-=alfi=-
5 attack seems a bit much for a card like this. WAY too good at first glance.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
5/5 make 5 damage. It's a very good card
Anything involving the Soul Fragments mechanic gets 5 stars from me! This is like a smaller Inner Demon with a body and a fairly easy set up.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Good thing this battlecry is restricted to the soul fragment mechanic.
Side note: last card to review, yay!
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
If you're playing a Soul Fragment deck, this card may as well have the effect Charge. DHs love to attack and this gives them the ability to do that immediately upon playing this card. The 5/5 body is solid as well, surprised it isn't a 4/4 or even a 3/3. Overall, looks like a great card for a cool new archetype.
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
Absolutely insane card, I can't wait to play around with all of these Soul Fragment cards.
Strong. If Soul Fragment pay-offs are played, it will be in Demon Hunter, not Warlock.
