This card is very versatile and very powerful. It can help control the early game board as well as provide extra burn damage later in the game. Murkspark Eel is a very powerful card, this is the same but all of the numbers are 1 more.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Good statline and a strong ability, but this theme seems too thin on fragment generators to be a consistent turn 3 play.
I can't see many slower decks running this, as it will only really come into play in anti-aggro, where consistency is a big problem.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Great card. Helps warlock kill some minions early game, and can go FACE late game. I'm not sure if this will actually see play in zoolock, because zoolock prefers other packages, like the self-damage package or the Magic Carpet package. This card will still see a lot of play regardless.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Versatile, but might just be redundant. IN a control list you probably enjoy the healing from the fragment more than destroying them for an effect you can achieve with spells just as easily.
Also, most of the Warlock soul fragment cards are reactive by nature which means you might just not be able to activate this on 3 when you'd get the most tempo benefit out of it.
Either way, it's at least a solid statline
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I don't know, I can see a lot of situations where you first need to get Fragments in the deck and the impact of this seems way better at turn 3 rather than later, and at turn 3 you also need the fragments the turn before.
Curves super well after the 1 or 2-drops that generate soul fragments and will help zoo keep board control with a premium effect on a premium body. This card is so strong and will almost guarantee a soul fragment zoo list.
This feels like one of the weaker Fragment payoff cards, but it's still a good enough card to see play in Fragmentlock. 3 mana 3/4 with 3 damage is still pretty strong.
So, walocks get to do some new stuff.
This has some solid stats and might see a tempo play even without the effect on t3 in some sort of zoo lock.

Good card, tempo plays are always nice. Will see play in most soul fragment decks.
great statline and 3 damage? wow this is insane actually and all you need to do is play decent cards? I am in.
Shadowlight Scholar is clearly good when it triggers, but I'm skeptical of how easy it will be to trigger on curve, which I think will be particularly important for a tempo deck (which seems to be what the Warlock Soul Fragment deck wants to be). That's not a bad thing, but Warlock has really strong alternatives like Darkglare competing for that mana slot.
There's a few things you can compare this card too.
First off, looking at the stats it's a spider tank without a tribal tag. The lack of a tag is somewhat negligible in standard, mechs haven't been that important since Boomsday Project rotated into wild, which means that this minion can still be played on curve if you want with no threat of removal outside of Shadowbolt.
The battlecry is very reminiscent of Blackwing Corruptor - both dealt 3 damage to any target they wanted, and both were placed in decks with specific construction requirments (Dragons for Blackwing Corruptor, Soul Fragments for Shadowlight Scholar).
Blackwing saw tons of constructed play before he rotated, I firmly believe this minion will also see a fair bit of play in constructed as well, and might be a real incentive for warlocks to use the soul fragment cards.
This doesn’t really seem all too great, given that you’re probably rarely gonna be able to actually use this that early on, and especially not on curve
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Overall good tempo in early to mid game, provide you can shuffle soul fragment consistently in the first turns prior. I foresee this card will fill every slow lock deck.
Solid Stats, nice ability - i think it`s a good card even tough if you would not run that many soul fragment cards.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
The only card that curves into this nicely would be Spirit Jailer and Soul Shear, both very good cards in their own right. Its very strong, but without the effect its basically just another 3/4, which warlock generally does not need.
Will see play because cards like Blackwing Corruptor have in the past prove that 3 damage is nothing to be snuffed at. On the other hand, since you're not likely to cramp all these soul fragment cards into one deck, whether this is good will depend highly on the meta. But I still personally think this is the better of the other lot.
Absolutely great on curve if you already have shuffled some fragments. Great addition to the archetype.
This is a pretty aggressive card. Warlocks don't have great burst in standard besides Soulfire.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Basic yet powerful. Great way to target that annoying support minion hiding behind a taunt, or finish off the hero's last bit of health.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
Looking at Darkbomb, this is virtually a 1 mana 3/4, helping maintain board control early and providing extra lethal reach late. A very simple yet good card.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Maybe not amazing, but it's a good card. I doubt this will make it into zoolock with those other, more control based soul cards, but it's great even in a control deck I think.
Good stat for 3 mana and strong effect...the only downside is that destroy one fragment. Probably it's an autoinclude in all lock fragment deck
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Not so sure about this one... But will see play in the deck
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Worst of Soul Fragment cards
Needed a lil' bit more soul frag generators to be consistent. 3/4 for 3 is fair, but fair is never enough for standard. On arena, on the other hand, fair is usually that.
Good tempo for SF decks, but hard to say if it will make some lists.
Real nice stats for the cost, effect can be nice
All hail the banshee queen.
Another good Soul Fragment card.
We will have to see how reliable the soul fragment are in first place to really see if this can make the cut, because the chances are also good for this to be rarely play on curve with full effect ... I'm not certain it is good enough, not compare to some of the other soul frag's toolbox
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I'm not sure if this is busted or just ok.
It seems like it will be busted if you can get it on curve with Soul Fragments in your deck, but I don't know how often that will actually happen.
Nevertheless, aggro Soul Fragment Warlock seems like it will love to use this card.
OP
Good body with a good effect. I reckon this will see a lot of play in soul warlock.
In a Fragmented Zoo, this is a big deal card, it will just be a matter of whether that particular build will be better than a control Fraggle or a classic Zoo. Without the "Deal 3", it's just a lesser Spider Tank, so you have to commit to it. For me, this is a bit less sexy than most of the new Scholo cards, we'll see how she flies.
Powerful for sure, but I'm still not sure what the best version of a Soul Fragment deck will be. I know that using them for straight healing seems really strong, which would be antithetical to the play pattern of this card. I can see a Zoo list that doesn't care as much about the healing running this, though, because 3 damage is just so much that early.
Welcome to the site!
I guess we should evaluate this card with the entire Soul Fragment mechanic. If the mechanic is good, it might be played, but from what streamers have said so far, it's better having the soul fragments in your deck to help along with the quest
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I'm not sure on how consistently you can get this card activated on turn three but if it turns out you can do it somewhat consistently, I can see this card putting in a lot of work. It's a pretty decent card in zoo but I'm not sold on the Soul Fragments being sold on the idea yet.
Cardboard wizard and dog haver.
This is Darkbomb but plus 1 mana for a 3/4 body. Great for contesting the board on turn 3 and potentially removing something or creating lethal in the mid-to-late game. You can probably get the battlecry effect pretty often on turn 3 considering Spirit Jailer and Soul Shear curve into this. A great payoff card for the Soul Fragment package in Warlock.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Looks good, good statline
-=alfi=-
Good stats, good effect, got archetype... At least on paper
At first glance this card might seem superfluous, but it comes with a decent body, so while it might be the weakest of the shard support cards, it's not terrible.
Anything to do with the new Soul Fragments mechanic gets 5 stars from me! This one is not my favorite, but still... I like it! It's as if this minion takes a Soul Fragment and grinds it to dust so it can put that dust into a Darkbomb and heave it as someone.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
3 mana 3/4 deal 3 damage. The best soul fragment card, better than the legendary one.
By The Holy Light!
Flesh Golem will love this
Great stats and really strong effect. Nothing too fancy but will definitely see play.
