Specific keywords like "reborn" usually aren't supported later, but Galakrond's Awakening was an exception as it closed the year's story arc by using mechanics from all three sets.
With archetypes in general, there have been several cases where archetypes that didn't see much play received a boost just before they rotated out. I think Pure Paladin did see a significant amount of play, but if they're nevertheless giving it one last push, there might not be any Pure support next year.
However, it's also possible that Pure will become an archetype that's always around for Paladin, like the "discover" and "rush" keywords stuck around. Still, it being present doesn't mean that it will always be strong: the discard mechanic is always around for Warlock, but it has rarely been good in Standard.
IWould like to see a solid Pure Highlander Paladin come to life. This would be great in it along with the Naaru weapon.
Currently we are missing the "Highlander" aspect of that. The only paladin highlander card is Finley.
Well come next year, isn't Pure pally losing some important cards? I mean I like the idea of Pure pally, but if you don't maintain it, it will die in the next year.
Yeah it's losing the 4 mana 4/2 that equips a truesilver and the 7 mana 7/7 that gives you 5 paladin cards. The latter doesn't matter a ton since it's only a 1-of if even, but the 4/2 is one of the strongest cards of the deck so losing it will definitely weaken the archetype.
All that being said, this isn't the first time an almost rotating theme gets support at the last second, most notably with the Kabal getting highlander support the expansion before Reno rotated. There's always a chance Paladin can stumble upon enough class cards to make this thing relevant again in standard, or it'll just get more support, who knows to be honest.
This thing is just unreal. It gains 4 keywords by simply playing your standard pure pally.
Its already tough enough to bring them down with all the librams in there, and now there's this. The only drawback of this card is in fact that it can only exist within a pure pally build, so no Old gods shenanigans. Within that core though, pure pally is looking very strong, especially given what we have seen so far.
Well Paladin is at the top again
Hello there, Pure Zilliax!
Pure pally support when its already performing so well??
Broom palladin is better then pur
Also there are these 4 giant old gods and other classes get some good cards aswlel and shaman is gonan get a new archetype(enhancement) so i dont any issues with it.
The thing I'm surprised about is that they are adding Pure Pally support now when the other Pure cards will rotate out before this. So unless there are more Pure cards planned this minion might be the only Pure card in standard for all next Hearthstone year.
only at low ranks anyway... so not that big of a deal
Pure paladin again???
