New Mage Minion - Glacier Racer

Will be nice to see frost synergy come back.  Nova will most likely be better than blizzard with this.  Though Blizzard does give you a greater aoe effect than flamestrike for the same mana cost now.

Even if Blizzard is less damage and more cost, it's only 1 card. And using this with Ray of Frost is not worth it.
May see a bit of experimenting in some control mages but I'm not buying yet.

This is enough to bring Freeze Mage back for sure. And yes, it absolutely is worth playing with Ray of Frost, or any other Freeze card you care to name, because it's a 1/3 body in addition to the damage, all for just 1 mana -- AND it can hit face.

Obviously, you need multiple Freeze effects in your deck, not just one spell, but I'd think that goes without saying.

Its not really that bad, given that Ray of Frost still exist. But I've always thought that killing the minion the same turn you freeze it is often a bad idea, and cards that do that never gets on.

But then again, this is still a 1/3 most of the time, and on turn 1 that can easily decide matches for mage. In later turns, its not just a simple 1 mana card anymore so there's some significance in wanting this over Lab Partner

I will try this deck as soon as the set launches. The main use of Glacier Racer is to go face just like Ice Lance, but if I can't find a Doomsayer to go along with Frost Nova it can also fit that role in a pinch.

That's a cool (1) drop with a nice effect too

4 mana freeze and deal 3 damage to all enemy minion with Frost Nova. That card will be autoinclude on every slow mage deck until rotates.

Interestingly enough, IT CAN DEAL DAMAGE TO FACE. This turns [Hearthstone Card (Frost bolt) Not Found] effectively into a 3 mana Fireball, or it turns Frost Nova into a board clear. Oh and it makes Blizzard better. But despite all that, i don't know how good it will be. If you play Frost Nova there is a good chance you're probably stalling time or playing Doomsayer already. And if you want a more damaging Blizzard you probably want Flamestrike, because Flamestrike deals double the damage already. I just don't see why this would see play, BUT luckely Glacier Racer is still going to be in standard for a year, so who knows. Maybe they will push freeze mage in a upcoming expansion? (Kinda hope not, but that's the kinda support a card like this needs.)

Really solid combo card for frost mages.  Honestly, I can see this totally seeing a lot of play in the current meta as well as in Tier 2 to drop down aggro or board swarm decks

A good thing to throw down on turn one against agro and following it up with brain freeze or ray of frost.  Also works with frost nova to help clear the board, or Blizzard itself to get some extra damage.

this one's a bit weird, I feel it has to be added to a freeze mage deck, or it'll be a dead card for a long time or just a vanilla 1/3 minion. Maybe we'll see it shine after the standard rotation

If this becomes a playable card it will require careful planning on when to play it so that the spellburst is most effective. You will need to play all but one of the single target freeze effects (or trigger the minion attacks), then play this card, and then play the final spell to set it all off. If you are comboing it with Frost Nova or Blizzard, it won't be as tricky. I wonder how well it works since you would want to bank up a few freeze effects for maximum spellburst damage. But how many can you afford to save if you build your deck around those?
