Fun with Augmented Porcupine. Effectively pointless with anything else which doesn't bode well (especially since you can't proc porcupine without killing it as of now)
Bonus points for being a 0-mana spell for Lock and Load, but that's about it. Maybe we'll get more multi damage beasts in the future, but for now this is just filler.
I guess in Wild you can finally get a 3-mana continuous boardwipe with Dreadscale.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This will have some really cool uses we haven't thought of yet, besides the obvious one of just clearing large minions with cheap tokens.

I like that a card like this exists, but I don't think this will see much competitive play, even when Kolkar Pack Runner is around.
EDIT: alright yes, totally forgot about Dreadscale. Slower Hunters in Wild might want to make use of this cool combo.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Hmm interesting card. But do you actually want to put this in your deck? It seems pretty good in some kind of Guardian Animals hunter deck just to give a Lake Thresher poisonous. Also it seems decent in some deathrattle Hunter lists alongside Augmented Porcupine.
In wild i'm not sure if it sees play. Sure Dreadscale might become a good removal tool, but that's not going to make hunter viable in wild all of the sudden. Currently Hunter in Wild is in a similar position as Shaman in standard, the class is pretty bad and i honestly don't think Serpentbloom is going to fix that problem.
I kinda want to rate it 2 stars, but i'll settle on 3. Just because it's 0 mana, and 0 cost cards should NEVER be underestimated.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Interesting, but using up a card just to make a 1-for-1 trade is a loss of card advantage. Combos with this will only ever be a board clear, but maybe that's enough.
This post is discussing the wild format.
The idea would be to run it in a deck with lots of smaller beasts (or just beasts with rush in general) where it essentially becomes a 0-mana Assasinate.
It's meant to be flexible removal that doesn't require you to interrupt your curve. Say, if you have a minion you want to kill on turn 3 and you have Zixor in your hand you can just combo it with this and you basically spent an extra card to maintain tempo which doesn't sound too bad (even if Midrange Hunter doesn't currently exist)

It was awful.
This card is niche and can be fun in the right situation, but it limits design space pretty heftily. No Beast can come out this Standard year so long as this exists.
Seems like a better pre-nerf Hunter's Mark, so lots of potential here
I was thinking this could go good on a cheap charge or rush beast, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of options on that front. Maybe with Wound Prey this would be good.
Probably not something run but often good to discover, especially with all the rush minions Hunter can generate.
I will say this is probably my favorite art in the set! So adorable.

Too bad its only for beasts, and costs 0 so you cant even tutor it with Barak Kodobane.
Don't count it out though. Its fodder for both Kolkar Pack Runner and Lock and Load. I still don't see it being included into decks, but this is a card that can only grow in power as opposed to fading like a leaf.
This is exactly what I'm planning on doing tomorrow. Some sort of Control Hunter deck with Guardian Animals as a surprise finisher.
I was excited to see this card simply for the Kael'thas Sunstrider activator potential :D
In reality, I think we'll see this most common as a result of Wandmaker generating Resizing Pouch which can then guarantee Serpentbloom when played on 1-mana.
At first i thought this card was meh ... would not find a place in the Meta, but the more i think i about it, the more im convinced that this could become better then expected.
Sure most Hunter lists want to run other cards instead of this but lists with Pack Runner or other Cards that summon Hyenas or other Rush beasts this could work as a hard removal for big taunts.
Still not the best card but at least ok even if it will be very situational.
