That'S just pretty damn good. With Lightshower Elementals you basically heal yourself to full (or ideally at least for 16), then you can add the new Taunt thing for a boardclear. If you want you can even run the Shadow Spirits that deal 3 to put some burn damage in there.
The hero power is also pretty sick although the swap should keep it balanced.
Now, this doesn't let you beat Combo decks any better but at least it gives you some legitimate lategame power to deal with Warrior or Shaman Quests.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This can actually be really really good. If you build your deck around it the battlecry can be both a solid tempo and value play, and the hero power is just very good tempo. It's not 100% reliable, but it's predictable.
I'm happy it doesn't resurrect the minions lol.
looks playable but isn't as strong as the other hero cards.
I hope meta slows down enough so we can try some cool stuff with there new heroes
This card is incredible. The hero power adds a lot of late game value in a control mirror, and with the right minions you could easily make a Vanndar Priest deck that leverages this for AOE, healing, armor gain, and tempo.
A very slow Hero, but I like that. Depending on what you've put in your deck and/or played, it can provide tempo, board clear, Health, Armor - basically whatever you want. Once Xyrella gets going, though, the game will probably pick up a bit since she gets a Mind Blast every other turn. I can't imagine, with all these new Hero cards, that Blizzard will allow Quest decks to continue unchecked if the new set can't knock them down by itself. So, initially, I don't see this making it in the meta but, if we can ever get out from under the thumb of Questlock, I think this could work out pretty nicely in a slower meta where things like board control and value actually matter and your opponent doesn't just play their own game on the other side of the board so you can watch.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
This is just ridiculous. I get it that Priest is a total control class to play, but hot damn... the idea of triggering ALL your Deathrattles and then being able to alternate between 5 damage and 5 heal every turn is just really good
This card is just not busted, but also flexible. It destroys a minion, deal AoE damage, and if you want to, you can summon a minion too.
I can't predict whether it will be okay or busted. The real problem is the hero power though, that 5 damage makes me want to quickly kill myself before priest does it to me lol! It's a strong burst hero power with having one turn cooldown, still nuts though.
Well, if there was a card that incentivizes you to play a lot of deathrattles, here we have it. I'd imagine Xyrella, the Devout would spawn a control deathrattle archetype, similar to big priest in wild, which is annoying as hell. Regardless, this card gives the priest class hope for control again...
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
This is how you make me feel disappointed of the Hunter Hero card without even showing it.
Definitely one of the cards I really want to try out though.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

This is exciting news for Priest - as in very exciting news
Sword of a Thousand Truths approves of this print
Edit: Seems like my hype blinded me from the true purpose of this card
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
has no boar synergy
The DR of Elwynn Boar talks about boars that died this game, not times you activate the DR. So Xyrella, the Devout will equip Sword of a Thousand Truths if you killed 7 boars on the game.
By The Holy Light!
So on one hand, Reno'ing yourself with one or two Lightshower Elemental deathrattles is fantastic...
...But what else are you playing with this? Elekk Mount and Undying Disciple seem to be must haves, but I'm not completely sure if they'll trigger properly (Elekk Mount being a spell, and Undying Disciple I'm not sure if it's going to check the attack of the original card or your hero's.) Mo'arg Forgefiend, Plagued Protodrake, and Scrapyard Colossus are all very great to load up, but that's just making your deck even slower when Handlock probably already finished their quest.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Thijs typically reveals either meme cards, or incredibly good cards. He's overdue for something broken, so going to call this that. Might need more Deathrattle support in coming expansions, but this is pretty good now. the 2 mana heal is kinda meh, but the Mind Blast every other turn is very nice. Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is probably a bad comparison, but imagine if he always had Blast Shield and Zap Cannon for hero powers, would he be played?
I don't think you need loads and loads of deathrattles for this to be worth it. As soon as you got decent value of the battlecry you should just play Xyrella, the Devout. Yes, repeating all those deathrattles is great and of course the more the better, but that new hero power is even better. You want to spam that Void Spike as soon as possible.
In Wild Reno decks specifically, I wonder if she's strong enough to push out the Shadowreaper Anduin & Spawn of Shadows combo as a finisher for a Xyrella, the Devout & Auctionmaster Beardo combo.
Arena > Wild > Standard
I'm not aware of a ton of great deathrattles for Priest. That hero power is interesting, though.
AMAZING. Just amazing overall. Xyrella, the Devout is a must-include in SO many priest archetypes. Let me talk about the cards effect one step at a time:
- The battlecry: Insane. Thats such a Value BOMB. In standard you can use it to clear the board thanks to Undying Disciple, Deal damage thanks to Shadowed Spirit perhaps in a aggro/shadow priest deck, heal thanks to Lightshower Elemental, summon taunt with Scrapyard Colossus, gain armor with Mo'arg Forgefiend. Just so much potential. Now that i'm looking at these deathrattles, i wouldn't be surprised if some kind of BIG deathrattle priest in standard shows up thanks to Vanndar Stormpike and N'Zoth, God of the Deep as another reload. In Wild you can slot this into Big priest (OH NOOOO), Awaken the Makers decks, and Mecha'thun (With Awaken the Makers perhaps) priest as a card draw option thanks to Loot Hoarders and other deathrattle "draw a card" cards.
- The hero power: Another amazing hero power. Heal 5 is just amazing, and it can target minions as well. Super solid. Deal 5 damage is also really good. This hero power is so flexible. It certainly won't hurt going out of Shadowform in order to get acces to Void Spike. Mind Blast is back in standard, and i'm happy they based the hero power on Xyrella becoming a dual Holy/Shadow priest in the story so far. (Mainly thanks to tamsin.)
Overall i would say that Xyrella, the Devout is one of the most flexible cards ever made. At least one of the most flexible PRIEST cards ever made. It can fit in nearly every priest deck, and it's basicly Shudderwock for deathrattles. If you know how strong Shudderwock is to this day, then i'm sure that Xyrella, the Devout is going to be good for a long time as well. And running deathrattles isn't that big of a problem in wild, thanks to N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Awaken the Makers helping Xyrella, the Devout.
Edit: it says EVERY minion. Which means that if you ress a minion a metric CR*P ton of time, with cards like Amulet of Undying it will repeat the deathrattle on each of them... as long as their all killed.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
The very flexibility of this card makes this just insane. For all intends and purposes this is just another N'Zoth, the Corruptor at the price of 8. Better yet, this surpasses it by essentially allowing you to just reap the rewards of a deathrattle like a battlecry,
However, as it is currently, this card in standard isn't really plugging any holes nor will it be enough to push priest out of the deep end. Its more like a control card, because it'll likely clear the board and heal you a bunch. At least in standard, it's not likely to ever let you finish off any opponent from anything more than 10 health, and if you're facing a combo deck this doesn't really do much in disrupting them either.
Also, that hp is just crazy. Dealing 5 damage for 2 mana. Granted it'll swap every turn, but that's still significant damage. Certainly in control mirrors, you'll not hesitate to just play this right away, because the hp grants an immediate advantage over your opponent.
This might be the best card of the expansion.
Obviously a great card for Deathrattle Priest. Possibly worth running in Standard, but it just seems like the 31st card for Big Priest in Wild which means it will not make the cut I think.
The card is amazing, yes, but I feel it falls a bit short to questline warlock (for example) as by the time you really want to use the value of the Battlecry, he's deck deep into Blightborn Tamsin and ready to outburst you.
Basically, Xyrella, the Devout is a win condition for a control deck against other control (and a pretty decent one at that), and with combo around, her effectiveness as a win condition diminishes.
Great flavor as a Priest card, though. Works with existing Priest archetypes while being very balanced.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
This is a day 1 golden craft for me. Bye bye my dust! Hello Xyrella memes!

Value squished into one card is overwhelming but what makes me puzzled is the fact that those minions need to die before the card is played and what video has shown us - multiple 10 mana minions dead, is not something that happens in standard games anymore. Priest gets some stalling/healing tools though, we'll see if that changes.
Seems good.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
The art is very good, and the flavor of a disclipne priest using both light and dark powers is very good at least for me
Class deathrattles are as follows:
Notable Neutral Deathrattles:
Taelan Fordring, Burning Blade Acolyte, Al'ar, Humongous Owl, Plagued Protodrake, Mo'arg Forgefiend, and Scrapyard Colossus. These are just the big ones, I didn't even include some of the smaller utility deathrattles.
If you think about being able to run Amulet of Undying (repeating what was in your deck) and Call of the Grave (possibly adding cards that you didn't originally include) there could be quite a bit going on with her battlecry.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I love the uniqueness of the Hero Power, showing the duality of the class. The Battlecry is also insane, of course, but I think that's pretty self-evident.
Welcome to the site!
Insane effect, insane hero powers... one of the best hero cards for sure.
