All I want to say is that this card art is wonderful. Blessed be to the underwater expansion for bringing us the best art we've had in years.
Am I the only person who's massively underwhelmed by this? It's very expensive, and lack the flexibility of Plague of Death that made that playable (plus how slow the meta was in Year of the Dragon). It's a poor replacement for Soul Mirror as well since it doesn't synergize with Seek Guidance and you can't draw it with Spirit Guide. This'll probably see play because Control Priest needs board clears, but it doesn't impress me much.
not the best mass removal indeed but could see play
soul mirror is one of the best cards ever printed in the entirety of hearthstone lol
Strongly disagree with that. It's a good card, but "one of the best cards ever printed" would probably see play in Wild.
People are constantly complaining about the power level of Priest board clears, so maybe it's a good thing this doesn't impress you. It does what it is supposed to do, and then some, and as you noted, it will definitely see play.
Filk Skyshiv as an AOE Priest spell. Not bad. I doubt the standard meta will ever be slow enough for all the big cards Team 5 is pushing, however.
I still can't get my head to understand if this is too good or too bad for wild.
Hard to say, but it's situational for sure. Depending on the meta, you choose your AoE spells, which suits the most against what you are facing.
At least there's a way to destroy infinite copies of minions like Shudderwock.
I don't think you will be able to cast it after Shudderwock has been played.
Pretty cool effect! Might disrupt quite a few decks, especially if you can get creative with cards like Seance or similar copy effects if you need to clear it but don't have Whirlpool in your hand yet.
Looking at the artwork makes me think that the team spent quite a bit seeing Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
Solid board clear, but instead of being the ultimate board wipe with Silence, it has disruption. And since this effect isn't akin to Banishing to the Void (check Dalaran Heist for what I mean), you still get to resurrect friendly minions destroyed, but you get the aforementioned hand and deck disruption.
This is.. insane.
Also, fun stuff could be achieved by this. You play your Kazakusan and if it survives a turn, you will remove your opponent ones from existence.
Mm mm, The Twisting Nether + better Skulking Geist baby for Priest, yay ^^ I'm just wondering why it's not a legendary spell, in compare to this Soul Mirror looks weak enough to stay as legendary card (Although I see pros of Soul Mirror like 'stealing', let's say, librams from Paladin)
My guess is this card is so broken and either will not be played if meta will be hyper aggro or will be quickly nerfed if meta will become slower (Which I hope will happen, I'm tired of that aggro bullshit)
The first thing that comes to mind that needs destruction of all copies is Shudderwock. You'd need once copy on the board though which will have triggered Loatheb more often than not and this wouldn't stop Macaws either. I fail to see where this is better than Plague of Death yet (from a Wild point of view).
S+ tier card, so far this is the best card in expansion
Might want to update the intro
Copy-paste strikes again!
You saw nothing!
