Amber Whelp is a nice card for aggro variants of Dragon decks.
Bloodied Knight is enables cards that trigger off of healing. Still pretty bad because it does nothing but be big-ish.
Sanctum Spellbender is a reverse power creep of Robes of Protection. I understand power creep, but why release a card that will literally have no niche once it is out of standard?
You would rather run another spell that does damage than Silvermoon Arcanist. This is the case with every Spell Damage minion.
Crystal Broker is pretty bad. No other way to explain it.
Crystal Broker this card might see play in late game decks. 3 summon an 8/8 is great value.
or in Demon Hunter this card would be a great target to shuffle into your deck.
Two bad ones and fortunately a few better cards;
Silvermoon Arcanist is only one mana off Guild Trader, but infinitely less useful because of the lack of tradeable, and its usage is simply against minions. I can't see many reasons to play this over Enchanter.
Crystal Broker does nothing until turn 5. A very strict manathirst card indeed.
Sanctum Spellbender has a neat effect but very likely its only really good from evolve shenanigans rather than inclusion because of its costs. You can't even make an argument for aggro decks, because this doesn't protect against AoE. Unless the meta revolves around one card's ability to target minions, this will unlikely make any impact.
Amber Whelp is about 2 years too late. Only priest is playing dragons now, and I dont see why they'd play this card. It does powercreep both Scalerider and Blackwing Corruptor
Bloodied Knight is good. I mean 3 mana 4/5 with a paltry downside most aggro decks would shrug off. Only thing stopping it is redundancy because most gameplans nowadays seems to be tribe related.
There's definitely scope for a frost wyrm priest (aka undead dragon priest) this expansion, so I'd hold off any meta judgments on the whelp 'til we've seen what all the classes are doing
Amber Whelp powerleveling that 3/3 what's its name card that deals 2 damage
You're thinking of Scalerider...and yeah, pretty blatant on that one :/
Silvermoon Arcanist seems like a strictly worse version of the card they just revealed this morning, Enchanter. Doubling damage against enemy minions from all sources (friendly minions and weapons too) is way better than spell damage +2, and you get a 3/3 instead of 2/2. So what purpose does this serve? Maybe if there's a way to summon it out for a mini-Malygosesque OTK.
Bloodied Knight...are we really still doing the "slightly better than average stats but has a downside" stuff? They never seem to work out; it's just a bit more stats, when you generally want your cards to do something. "Blah blah The Demon Seed", sure, but even they probably don't care about a 3/4/5 that barely does anything else.
Amber Whelp is... a whelp! More support for Raid Boss Onyxia!
