Honestly these cards are strong enough that they could be paladin staples for the entire time they’re in rotation.
Feast and famine -
This card seems amazing for any aggressive paladin and maybe some control ones, offers burst, recovery, and gives paladin an answer to early annoying threats, only problem I have with it is it’s less than ideal to draw off of stonehearth vindicator.
Sanguine soldier -
A premium one drop for any aggressive deck, not much more to say
Seal of blood -
Personally the least impressive one in my opinion but, since it is a holy spell between this and for quelthalas! knight of annointment finally has good targets for aggressive decks and you should be pretty happy to get them off of stonehearth vindicator. Maybe kotori lightblade finally has a chance to shine.
Blood crusader -
A really powerful card that comes down right after your lightray turns I’m pretty sure making it an impressive follow up with any 4+ cost card. I think all sorts of paladin decks would love to have this especially with how the leviathan has slotted into most variants of paladin.
They printed a Demon Hunter card in Paladin. Feast and Famine is great enough to push a viable aggro Paladin archetype.
It's funny, because Feast or Famine actually has a Wretched on the artwork, and they've said that DH is representing the Wretched this set.
DH theming is typically all over the place (and terrible) but they may yet have a surfeit of Wretched cards for them coming up.
I guess they just decided every class needs a Brann Denathrius combo because Druid and Shaman weren’t toxic enoug
Which of those two combo enablers are PALADIN cards
Denny has been vewy vewy sowy for exploiting anima, repented, and is now a Paladin card :P
oh wow didnt expect self damage from paladin im really excited
Awesome direction for paladin, love the flavour. Blood crusader looks bonkers
Paladin getting a self damage archetype?
and Blood Crusader is soo good sets up so many combos. 5 stars.
Oh I just get downvoted for everything huh
Cool cards but Seal of Blood being a Holy spell feels kinda off. My personal dream would be Highlord Fordragon becoming viable, maybe the new bubble cards will help him.
It was (and is if you play TBC Classic) always a Holy spell back in the day.
Highlord Fordragon has been viable before and in some handbuff decks hes still good.
But these cards are aggressive cards though, so I wouldn't count on him getting center stage in the next expansion.
Paladin getting close to Warlock?
Does this fit the Lore of Blood Elves or something like that?
It does. When the Horde first got Blood Elves and Paladins in WoW in TBC, they had their own exclusive spell that hurt themselves to do damage, Seal of Blood, seen above. Also, they were getting the power to be Paladins by draining the Light directly from a stolen Naaru, so they were very big on pain for power.
Yeah, the Blood Elves draw magical power from the Sunwell, but it has addictive properties. Stay away from it long enough (or, say, if it were destroyed in a horrific attack), and you can even die from the withdrawal effects. The Blood Knights, led by Lady Liadrin, are themselves Paladins.
Flavorwise, these cards should probably damage you the turn after you play them, but I guess they wanted to simplify it.
Paladin got shafted in nathria so here's MoTLK to compensate for all that tomfoolery that is Stewart the Steward and his ilk
Because all these cards are good, great even. There's lots of aggression, initiative, and just plain flexibility. Might bring pure chaddadin to tier 1-2 depending on how OP DK is on day 1.
For once in a long time Im actually looking forward to paladin on day 1.
