Just hit Legend countering a pretty ridiculous meta. It's been a while since a true SMOrc deck has existed and worked well. This is the deck that changes that! With all the Galakrond Shamans and Deathrattle Rogues running around the ladder, I felt it was time to punish their tempo plays with good ol' face damage. This deck kills them with 1,000 paper cuts really really fast. I always look for a 1-drop and will mulligan hard every time, I always keep Phase Stalker too (don't play it if it can get killed, the secret draw and summon is too good). The rest of the game is about weaving in hero powers and early minion damage since I usually would run into taunts around turn 5. I even played Leeroy Jenkins on curve to get damage in ahead of Dragon's Pack when necessary. You want to deal all your weapon damage and minion damage early and then focus on your direct deathrattles and other damage cards after they play a big taunt. Ignore almost every minion and just go face, you'll be surprised how many games it wins!
You can easily replace Dragonbane and Leeroy Jenkins with Wolfrider or Spring Rocket if you're going for a super budget version. Toxic Reinforcements is a must-have, it turns 6 damage of Hero powers into 12.

Thanks, I have two more questions:
1. When you say you aggressively mulligan for 1-drops, do you mean you try to start the game with a full hand of 1 drops or do you keep some 2 or 3 mana stuff if you already start the mulligan with a Quest?
2. Standard seems to run a ton of heals at the moment (Warlock, Dragodin, Priest), so I'm thinking of converting the deck to Wild and making it even less fair. Any tips for Wild cards?
1. If I don't have a 1-drop, I'll toss my whole hand most of the time. The Quest does not count as a 1-drop, it needs to be a minion that deals damage early and you're very likely to draw 1 with 6 in the deck. If you have a 1-drop already, I'd then mulligan for the Phase Stalker, Toxic Reinforcements, and Eaglehorn Bow in that order.
2. Nah, I don't play wild much sorry (pretty much only Exodia Mage and Mill Rogue). The standard meta runs heals almost exclusively as a result of this deck. But if you're losing to Warlock, Paladin, and Priest I'm suprised; most of the meta is Shaman/Rogue.
I don't like this version, it feels like the mech package is useless against shaman
Fair enough, this version is a few days old from before Shaman started running any counters or healing. The other versions run little spells and spell damage or my other favorite has a bunch of Stealth minions.
Hi,
Why the 2 x Misdirection ?
I have won multiple games from Misdirection going to the opponents face. This is honestly in my opinion, Hunters most underrated secret that should see more play.
Just 1x and it's the best secret to potentially deal some damage to your opponent when you have no board not named Explosive Trap. You want it just in case your Explosive Trap is already out and you have Phase Stalker.
so that's the one I keep running into.
It's the perfect definition of a rock, paper, scissors deck. It can beat down almost any deck that doesn't have heals and relies on later spike turns (as well as absolutely ruining Zoolock because of Explosive Trap on demand)
It seems to really benefit the lack of a true control deck in the meta. Guess we'll see how strong it is if Warrior returns after the Shaman nerfs.
This version is actually faster and does more damage at the expense of a worse board than the one on HSReplay. I focused more on Mechs and using Magnetic or 1/1 tokens to deal damage early and finish them off through Taunts with Lepers and direct damage.
I haven't even found it on HSreplay? What name do they run it under? Mech Hunter?
Either way, you could try plaaying around with Necromechanic since you're already running a number of deathrattles that your opponent probably doesn't even want to kill.
It's not actually named on HSReplay yet. Here's the most played one: https://hsreplay.net/decks/Be9cCJM1nIwSMxlaCb9nEg/#gameType=RANKED_STANDARD
Like I said tho, they don't run as much face damage minions or a mech package. It runs more spell damage and secrets, but I think these ideas are bad. I looked up damage cards only and think it kills opponents faster and more effectively.
Congrats on Legend! This makes me actually want to venture back to standard ladder to try it out.
Update: I've played quite a few games with this deck now, and can safely say it is a lot of fun, and ladder viable. I have yet to lose to Shaman with it. It's hilarious watching them have no way around all the face damage. I will be playing this deck at least until the nerfs.
Also, this deck has made me see the potential of Hot Air Balloon. If it's not removed fast, it stays around for a long time.
i really need to ask... is this deck good agaisnt shaman? i know the nerf hammer will hit but i'm so tired of beeing spanked by shamans..
Yes, yes it is. I built it solely to counter Shaman and Rogue, it beat them both more often than not.
thank you man! Crafting right now
Glad you've had as much fun and success as I have!
That's a fun deck, lots of pew and puke
