Waxadred Miracle Rogue
Kobold stories speak of an ancient dragon, the creator of all catacombs and liberator of shadows. He was the deity that created the candles from his own flesh which allowed kobolds to grow and prosper underground. Some claimed it was a lost Dragon Aspect, the Aspect of Light, that had been banished to the underground by an unknown creature long ago. The story became a legend, the legend became a myth and the mysterious Aspect of Light is now nothing more but a fairy tale.
Ever since the League of E.V.I.L. came to Northrend, the underground has been more restless than ever. Strong earthquakes and dangerous escarpments have increased severely since their arrival and became a daily occurrence. Native snobold scouts have reported goblins going crazy, giant wax formations and an unusually high amount of all sorts of creatures flying in the sky recently. Many of the snobolds have died, horribly, in the catacombs and the problem is nowhere near being solved. And the sudden departure of their king Togwaggle along with his best workers made their community weaker than ever before.
Perhaps the kobolds' fate is sealed. They can feel something big, something evil coming close. The tremors don't stop, they're only getting stronger. Did their king really backstab them and leave them to die? Whatever is going on, they must prepare themselves; they can feel the worst is yet to come.
There has been moderate talk about the Waxadred + Shadow of Death synergy for an infinite board of 7/5 minions, so I decided to try and make a deck around it. It is was based on Tempo Rogue, but it turned into a Miracle deck pretty fast since you want to reliably draw Waxadred's Candles after he dies. Some recently added cards could push it into a generally good midrange(?) deck with a bunch of good stuff from Lackeys, Edwin/Adventurer and even Kronx Dragonhoof + Shadowstep.
The Galakrond part fits naturally in this deck - his Battlecry draws cards and makes them cheap, his Hero Power gives you Lackeys so all Invoke cards give you Lackeys too which also helps Togwaggle a lot, also Umbral Skulker fits perfectly into a Miracle Rogue. Pretty great synergy altogether.

VERY creative storytelling.
aMEIzing as always with your stories!
Nice story, realy cool! :-)
I tried a very similar deck and would like to suggest the following changes:
- Add Necrium Blade and / or Necrium Vial to pull off your combo more consistently. Necrium Apothecary is helpful, too but might result in having to cut Thalnos...
- EVIL Miscreant and Gadgetzan Auctioneer are not really needed. The invoke cards generate so many lackeys, I often struggle with hand size. Maybe you could keep one of the miscreants, but that's really enough.
- Consequently, Questing Adventurer and Mountain Giant look like good additions. Bloodsail Flybooter provides for the early game and combo turns.
OK, I've got to ask - Is Necrium Blade/Vial really good with Waxadred? I mean, Necrium Vial just seems like a straight-up worse Shadow of Death, especially since you can only play it on Waxadred in this deck (or Thalnos for a 5-Mana Arcane Intellect - which I now removed). Necrium Blade also doesn't look great if you don't have Waxadred played and you want to use the Deathrattle. The idea is to use Waxadred in the late game anyway, so there's also that.
Other stuff seems great, thanks!
I'm really disappointed there's only 2 Neutral Invoke cards. I thought there would be at least one more, a Rare one.
Anyway, Devoted Maniac is back and he brought along Shield of Galakrond. At this point, the deck seems very distant from Tempo Rogue and is starting to look increasingly like a miracle deck. Still, I didn't want to make it too slow, so at the end I removed one Shadow of Death. There's still 4 infinite Waxadreds with just one spell, plus now you have room for your Lackeys and their dragons.
Its also disappointing that both of Rogues invoke cards are spells, so they cant be taken advantage of with Spirit of the Shark.
OK, first changes are up.
Although we have almost all Rogue cards revealed, there's still a lot of Neutrals to be seen (also the second legendary) so this is still not a final design. Obviously Kronx is here, but since we still didn't get any Neutral Invokers, I had to remove Devoted Maniac for a 2-drop, Bloodmage Thalnos, who actually synergises with 8 damaging spells. I sure hope there will be more Invoke cards though, as currently there're only 4 in the deck, and even if you don't always need Azeroth's End, 4 just seems too inconsistent.
Double Shadow of Death is probably a bit too greedy, but I can see something similar become a viable deck :)
What about Scheme? Could be good on Waxadred or Umbral Skulker
Nice background story! Deck seems OK, but I dont think Devoted Maniac is good enough.
Thanks :) Devoted Maniac is probably the first card that gets out as soon as we get another Invoke card. I didn't put Shield of Galakrond since it seems a bit slow. But this is still just an early draft so we'll see.
Cable Rat is 1/1 for two mana[Hearthstone Card (CardID or Name) Not Found]. For two more mana you gain +1/+1 and Rush.
Could be worse.
