You guys remember Fallen Hero? Well, here he is, and significantly better.
man, this would have been really sweet if Odd Mage was still in Standard, wouldn't it.
NOt gonna see me build a deck around Janalai right now though...
Either way it's probably a solid inclusion in Highlander. NOtably also a buff to Sidequest Aggro elemental mage
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
maybe with this you might be able to get janalai online easier! also elemental, high hp, probably fits well into highlande even without janalai..
4/5 good but not meta defining good.
Not sure about Standard, but this is getting slotted right into my Wild Odd DK Jaina Elemental (I'm bad at naming...) deck for sure!
mediocre.
Fits both Odd and Highlander.
Great card.
Good stats, solid effect, not sure if there's a mage deck that wants to play this though. "inspire" mage isn't exactly a standard deck right now and neither are aggro or tempo mage. I suppose you could even run this in a control deck, but even then I don't really see a candidate that'd want this.
That said, it's definitely a card to check in on after rotation when the card pool gets halved and games become more like Arena again.
5-mana, deal 4 isn't a bad card. So this is probably okay.
I think the fact that it's an elemental that doesn't suck matters most.
technically there is a playable tempo mage deck that noone's playing because it's literally just a bunch of vanillas glued together by a crazy draw engine.
What you do is take all the elementals you can find (yes, even Arcane Servant) and run Elemental Allies to draw a select number of burn spells (Frostbolt, Fire Ball, Book of Spectres, Elemental Evocation and whatever else you'd like...I personally enjoy Unexpected Results a lot thanks to Cosmic Anomaly).
This might actually help that kind of deck out, even though it still heavily depends on somehow snowballing the early so you can burst your opponent down later.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I mean... Mage's HP-Support is gonna rotate in a couple of months,so maybe this'll be its only time to shine? On the other Hand, 3 Mana 5 Health is pretty chunky.

Damn, that's strong. Very strong one. It will be especially annoying until the rotation of the Rumble cards and the totem and and Jan'alai or whatever the bird that brings Raggy.

Not sure if this is a constructed card, even tho the effect stacks, so im sure someone will create a crazy combo, but an insane arena card and just overall great card for starter/budget mage decks.

Awkward to deal with with that much health, and it’s can help with clearing stuff out if you wait for the hero power. Dunno if that’s gonna be enough to see play though
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
I haven't played Hearthstone in quite some time but a 2/5 for 3-mana is going to be a real challenge to deal with, and the effect is self-supporting. Seems like quite a strong card.

I assume you guys are forgetting Elemental Evocation? This card when played at turn 1 is just insane.
I eat your fast food spare changes when you sleep.
Absolutely a must-add for my Odd Mage deck as well.
Totally agree.
The card is good by itself, 3 mana 2/5 with tribe that improve your HP, and fits well with elemental synergies of mage.
By The Holy Light!
This is going to be a strong card. It even has the health to be playable on curve and have a good chance of lasting long enough that you can get value off the hero power the next turn. The real question is what are the chances that a Warlock or Hunter can randomly generate this on the field?
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Hit this guy and Clockwork Automaton with Luna's Pocket Galaxy and you can belt out some serious damage (Fire-Eater too, maybe even a Blackwald Pixie).
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Obvious question: how does the calculation work with a Clockwork Automaton? Will it be add first, then multiply (= 6) or multiply then add (=4). In the happy scenario, two of these and two clockworks would yield 20 ((1+2+2)* 2 *2) damage, add the Fire-Eater's and you are lethal (9*4=36) already. So indeed when all or some of these minions cost only 1 mana heavy nukes are on the agenda, not to mention the possibility to copy them on board with a faceless manipulator. But then they need to stick, and sure enough they are probably going to be targeted by the opponent.
Add a Spirit of the Dragonhawk and you will have your jan'alai complete in one turn possibly for 7 mana, but this could already be done cheaper using a Daring Fire-Eater.
So interesting for elemental decks and for hero power oriented stuff.
Still its use is pretty limited until they print more hero power rewards, maybe a quest?
I imagine it works like Valen + Malygos + spell that deals damage: adds first, multiplies later.
I think so too. So we have 6 cards that change your spell power (2x Clockwork Automaton, 2x Daring Fire-Eater and 2x Arcane Amplifier) . Obviously when they all cost 1 mana and are in your hand you have a lethal turn.
A number of possibilities:
Both automatons are 1 mana: (1+1+1+1+3+2 = 28 dmg)
1 Automaton is 1 mana and 1 Amplifier: (1+5+1+1+2 = 20 dmg)
Add the possibility to use Elemental Evocation or Galvanizer and we have some serious chances of getting an OTK or TTK.
Without galaxy and just collecting cards we can get to 18 dmg for 9 mana. That is better than a pyroblast, and also better than 2 fireballs and a frostbolt (=15 dmg for 10 mana). Using Galvanizer twice, and the two Elemental Evocation we again have 20dmg for (3+3+1+1+2)=10 mana, and a board.
But apart from this it can also be useful in other decks, just as Azure Explorer. Most reno decks use it because of the dragon / discover traits, but the spell power can also be used. I like the versatility here.
