Otherwise, why do you think it needs to be HoF'd?
worst community ever
because of conjurers mage obv.
but one deck isnt enough to justify HoFing it
404 skill not found
I am in favor of HOF-ing it, if only to mix it up a bit, multiple decks have been able to pull "Mountain Giant on 4" through the history of HS. I'm over it.
Couldn't agree more. I remember giant lock from back in the day. Now mages are pulling this no skill crap. Hassle the HOF, to coin a phrase.
I'm guessing that they targeted vanish and mind blast because, while they have worked against the grain of the class, they weren't currently in use so it wouldn't rock the meta or the class to take them down now.
Mountain giant.. that's goint to REALLY off balance an otherwise very interesting meta. I'd personally peg it for next year and watch it to see if the deck overstays its welcome past the next set.
Why trade with minions when you can face for...billions?
Honestly they just need some battlecry valued card at that cost. If Conjurer’s Calling pulled a crappy 6/6 out of your 8/8 giant that’ll nerf the deck plenty
^ The card costs 12 though, that means you're pretty much stuck with a giant-type minion.
I suppose they could make a minion a la Shirvallah or rabble bouncer that has a cost reduction effect but isn't a giant, but it'd be pretty obvious to anyone and their uncle why they're making a 12 cost understatted dude.
I'm honestly surprised MG hasn't been hall of famed yet considering it's been a staple card for hand/cubelock for at least two years prior to conjurer mage even existing. I' d be annoyed to see it happen, but I've been expecting it for a while now.
In terms of classes Mountain Giant really hasn't seen a ton of play, it has almost been an exclusive warlock/mage card when it has been used. It may be used a lot in this classes (mainly warlock for many years before CC was a thing), but I don't see how that is any different than 'Many warrior decks use Brawl, Many mage decks use Fireball, or Many priest decks use Cleric' kind of complaint.
I'm not big on removing cards just for the sake of changing things up. Imo it needs to be a Tier 0/S meta-warping problem to resort to that, otherwise the vocal minority just gets free reign with an annoying game of whack-a-mole against anything they get bored with every month.
Consistent cards do not always equal problematic cards.
The issue is not MG, but CC: just look at the Las Vegas championship and see how many mage decks were in top ranking: an entire group was made only by them.
I wonder why...
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the world, and loses his own soul?"
12 mana warlock card 1/1 costs one less for each friendly demon that died this game in you hand battle cry: cast twisting nether.
No more mountain giant in mage.
I have a few lying around and I play Wild anyway. I could use the dust so sure HOF him xD
Warriors and hunters are raping the ladder, but hey, let's nerf mage
