  • New Neutral Minion - Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate

I feel like this is a great card to play if you are behind on board, as a few options deal with your opponents board nicely.
The spell option can be hit or miss. Rid of roasting is just...yea

  • New Druid Spell - Lunar Eclipse

Its a card that deals 3 damage for nothing. But wait. It doesn't exactly do that.

For this card to be worth its use (at 0 mana), you need another spell that is 2 mana and above, and also needs to be casted the same turn its played.

So, at its very best, its a deal 3 damage during your Overgrowth and Wild Growth turns. Outside of that, its almost always going to cost at least 1 mana at the end, since druids typically play lots of cheap spells. And when they don't need to, this is completely superseded by Bogbeam.

We'll need to see the rest of druids cards first to determine anything from this card.

  • Lol... 12-2 first time playing. Nerfs incoming!

They nerfed most of the okay treasures but left the worst offenders untouched (see robes). The active treasures have an even worse variance :/

  • New Neutral Minion - N'Zoth, God of the Deep

Deathrattles aren't run because N'Zoth the Corruptor is good, N'Zoth the Corruptor is run because Deathrattles are good. It's the same deal with this guy. If there is a strong Beast, Dragon, Elemental, and maybe Demon that you would already just put in a Control deck, then this guy will see play. That's a tall ask, but not an impossible one.

170 cards; who knows. Druid and Warlock are both halfway there already. Fingers crossed Demon Hunter gets some tools to abuse this with. I just want my control DH, Blizz.

  • New Druid Spell - Guess the Weight

Properly considered, this is a bad card. Druid has never been low on card draw and mana, so what does this do exactly?

Its a fair card for druid, and when most druid decks are filled with broken stuff, this just will not make it. Unless of course, there's some card behind the scenes that basically guarantees the 2nd draw.

  • New Druid Minion - Kiri, Chosen of Elune

It gives you both eclipses, but from what we have seen druid capable of doing, I don't really see where this one fits. Still, both eclipses are basically deal 6 damage for 2 mana, so that's decent for druid I guess.

The flexibility of the eclipses will determine whether this is worth the inclusion, basically.

Also, why the hell isn't this card a beast when the minion presented is obviously a moonkin?

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Felscream Blast

Its basically a small nerf to Wandmaker and [Hearthstone Card (cobalt spelkin) Not Found] for dhunters. Its not really that great to be honest, and unless there's some version of control dhunter to be revealed, I can't see anyone put this card unironically in their deck.

On its own, its deal 1 damage to 3, heal for 3, which is fair. It can be improved with spell damage, but dhunters have better cards to control the board like Blade Dance or Eye Beam.

I would rate it 0 stars, but we have yet to see the rest of the cards.

  • New Neutral Minion - Y'Shaarj, the Defiler

Its basically currently the weakest of the 4 gods, but only because we don't have all the corrupted cards to review this with.

But we do have knowledge of a few, and the corrupted Fleethoof Pearltusk at 0 mana is more than enough to justify playing this card. I expect at the end for Ysharaj to be the 2nd most consistent/best of the 4, but it will all depend on the corrupted cards to be revealed.

  • New Neutral Minion - N'Zoth, God of the Deep

If you needed a definition of flexible and broken as hell, this version of n'zoth can and will do it.

Basically you can have your pick. Whether its a Charged Devilsaur, or King Krush, or something defensive like Evasive Drakonid or even Enhanced Dreadlord. The flexibility here is the key, and I wouldn't be surprised if every pro will try to abuse this card with nearly every class.

We haven't even seen all the new cards yet, so there's even more potential for this to be more powerful. 10/10

  • Card voice actor speculation

Most Hearthstone characters have uncredited, unconfirmed voice actors, but I bet everyone's probably speculating who they are. Some well-known characters are already credited in WoW and their voices are very similar in Hearthstone, others have their VA listed on other sites. Here are my guesses (NOT confirmations) on the unconfirmed voice actors, which I assumed from comparing characters with known VAs in Hearthstone or notable roles in other media.

Abusive Sergeant: Jamieson Price (voice of Lord Jaraxxus)

Warsong Commander: Melodee Spevack (voice of Ichoron, as well as Garudamon from Digimon)

Bittertide Hydra: Lani Minella (voice of Golakka Crawler) She was credited in the Un'Goro leak under several animalistic voices like Golakka Crawler, "Pterodactyl" (there are several in the expansion) and "Hydra". Bittertide is the only hydra in the expansion and sounds a lot like Golakka.

Seaforium Bomber: Nika Futterman (Luna Loud from The Loud House, Sticks the Badger from Sonic Boom)

New Secretkeeper: Karen Strassman (voice of Chromie and Jandice Barov)

Illidari Felblade: Sophia Amoss (voice of Squeamlish and Spellward Jeweler)

Silas Darkmoon: Bob Beal (Veigar from League of Legends) They sound so similar with the voice crack and everything, but it's unlikely.

  • New Neutral Minion - C'Thun, the Shattered

Okay, since cthun doesnt actually start in the deck, that means you can't cheat him out without something like Emperor Thaurissan or Imprisoned Satyr. And its a deal 30 damage to all enemies at the end, which in most cases will not seal the deal but set yourself for victory.

The pieces are decent, but a bit expensive. Since Cthun is basically a win condition, it will still see play, but will likely only ever be tier 2, unless there's a broken way to cheat out those pieces for cheap.

Edit: Got confirmation that Cthun will form inside your deck once you play all 4 pieces. So that's another layer of rng. Probably because of that it will fit very well into rogue, or any deck that can afford to hold onto pokelt without dying.

  • New Neutral Minion - Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate

    r/hearthstone - Yogg Saron's Wheel of Fate

For anyone interested in what Yogg Saron can give you, and the percentages. Needless to say, pyro to win is 5% to cast.

Mind control 3 guys, and pyro for the win is definitely broken. Expect druid, priest, rogue and mage to main abusers. Maybe shaman can get in for some value. But bottom line is that this card basically decides games, and will definitely see competitive play.

  • Lol... 12-2 first time playing. Nerfs incoming!

    Quote From PopeNeia

Adding Robes of Gaudiness was a mistake. It is literally the most broken treasure and confirmed a win almost all the time, even against the most crazy bosses. Now in the hands of players, I shudder to imagine what it feels like to both play and face it.

Lol, I havent tried it myself. But thanks for confirming literally the most broken treasure in hs history is actually up for grabs.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

Mmmmm no. Let’s say I wanted to eat a nice fishy and juicy meaty meal.... what card might satisfy that dish?

  • New Neutral Minion - Silas Darkmoon

    Quote From Demonxz95

You can definitely catch a lot of players off-guard with it since most people don't really care about where they place their minions, which can allow you to grab something really big. Particularly, Paladin and Shaman can summon tiny things with their Hero Power to give to the opponent which can be good with it. After a few weeks though, people will most likely learn to play around it if it does see play.

Here's an interesting thing to try out though in Warrior: Soulbound Ashtongue. Use Silas to give it to your opponent, and then Shield Slam it.

Thank you for the idea... I’m going to go and bonk a few people now..

  • Lol... 12-2 first time playing. Nerfs incoming!

Is it just all aggro like i think?

  • Darkmoon Rabbit

    Quote From Thonson

I don’t know... 10 mana 1/1 is a meme for sure, but 10 mana “remove three enemy minions” could be a big deal in the late game!  I’m not judging this little guy until I see it in action.  And not until I get my hands on a Holy Hand Grenade!!!

Venomizer+Missile Launcher was 8 mana and a 6/6 that didn't die after one attack

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

Going to keep the ball rolling I guess!

My second guess would be Marsh Hydra. Its a great card in Arena and also related to surf and turf. Not only that, but it has beautiful blinking golden eyes.

  • What do you think about the Monuments of power expansion?

I think the expansion is fine so far. I'm neither excited nor disappointed.

Just a quick comment about The University of Piltover - you said it would work in discard aggro. I can tell you that I picked up discard aggro for the first time last week, just after the release of Monuments of Power (ironically, since it has no cards in it from that expac). I have been playing that deck exclusively for the past week with no changes. And I can say with some certainty that The University of Piltover would make the deck worse. If I slotted it, it would take up a board spot (in a deck that needs to go wide to win), and it would have to replace Augmented Experimenter, who does basically the same thing, but is a 3/3 body that deals 3 damage to something when he comes down, and draws three cards from my own deck, which is vastly better than 3 random ones. Discard aggro does not have time for The University of Piltover to do it's thing, and Jinx usually does not stick long enough for her to get value from it either.

TL;DR - The University of Piltover doesn't do enough to synergize with discard aggro. Discard aggro is aggro first, discard second. The discarding provides a means of going very wide, very fast, but just adding more discard does not automatically make the deck better. I've never found myself saying, "Hmm, if I only I could discard my whole hand right now, then I'd be in a much better place in this game."

  • Hearthstone's Progression System - Everything You Need to Know

We're going to see how it is in practice first and foremost. Is a certain amount of xp equal to 60 gold is going to be the baseline in my opinion. This still sounds grindier as hell. Before you could get a pack by doing two quests minimum. That means every 2 days youd get a pack. I doubt the system would be better than that. And I dont even like that system.

By making it shiny and new, introducing cool rewards like progressive hero replacements and free legendaries, cosmetic coins(which sounds absolutely worthless to me btw idk why it's a big end goal like it is) they could be trying something more sinister than any old god blind siding us from seeing the big picture. And that is that gold would be harder to achieve for anyone that isnt a slave to arena, or has mommy's credit card.

  • N'Zoth is the Pre-Order Bonus Hero for Darkmoon Faire - Warlock Old Gods Fun! Pre-Order Details

    Pro

Ok cool. Just needed to wait a little longer. All set now!

  • Hearthstone's Achievements - Everything You Need to Know

I’ve had my fair share of flawless runs in the past,  but that was because of really good RNG. Would suck if I had to do them again for the achievement. I really hope that some of these are retrospective in nature

  • Lol... 12-2 first time playing. Nerfs incoming!

Also, I just watched Dekkster's playthrough and it seems like there are banned cards in this game mode. Does anyone have a full list of them?

  • Lol... 12-2 first time playing. Nerfs incoming!

Haven't played it yet, but I would guess that the game mode is balanced around your treasures and card buckets, not so much your starting deck. I'm probably wrong though.

  • Hearthstone's Progression System - Everything You Need to Know

    Hey there!

While gold denominations are shown on the levels, I didn't commit to counting then because there's a lot that we don't know yet, such as EXP values. Gold values may change as well.

This guide will be updated when we know more details. I'm disappointed we didn't get a full picture yet, because then we will be able to do more calculations.
