Agree. They could balance elusive in two ways, imo:
1) elusive lasts 1 turn (like barrier)
2) units with elusive can't be buffed
I lost a game where my opponent played the 3 mana 2/2 elusive and buffed it to a 5 attack unit. With 3 attack i couldn't counter it and when i drew a spell to kill it... deny!
If it remains a 2/2 it would still be anoying but at least won't kill you in they first part of the game
I get the feeling that this isn't so much about the card being actually nerfed, but rather just about bringing it more in-line with similar ones, stat wise.
Yes you get full dust back if you disenchant it. So if you want to try it for fun, then disenchant it later, sure go ahead. It does not mean you get 3200 dust for owning a golden copy though.
I'm a long time dad legender too, who hit full legend this week for the first time with a dirty aggro DH deck. Don't plan on making a habit of it, but ground it out pretty easily given it's such a broken deck and picked up my free classic legendary.
The Glaivebound Adept nerf is really incompetent. NOTHING change with the card. It's not like i don't want to take 7 damage to the face but 6 is ok, i'm just gonna ignore it. You HAVE to kill it or you are pretty much dead. They could have increase the cost, lower the damage dealt, make it target only minions, decrease it's health to make it more easy to deal with... no, atk decreased by 1. Truly, TRULY incompetent.
Rogue: 809 - since the rotation hit, I haven't touched the class yet
Priest: 747 - I have tried my take on Highlander Priest, but the lack of tools (card draw and rush above all) is just embarrassing. No way on earth I'll play Res
Hunter: 561 - I haven't found any epics/legs of the class, so... Zixor is so cool though...
Mage: 167 - No Minion Mage is not great, but it's hella flavorful. If the nerfs will make it better, I think I'll craft the pieces I miss (second Apexis Blast, Evocation, second Power of Creation and Puzzle box)
Paladin: 141 - I've tried some Pure Paladin, but unfortunately it doesn't stand a chance right now
Shaman: 136 - Totem Shaman is fun
Warrior: 91 - see Hunter; plus Garrosh is not in a good shape except for Egg Warrior
Warlock: 85 - Discolock is fun
Druid: 82 - I'm currently playing some Big Druid, and I'll stick to the deck until the nerfs hit.
With some luck I'll unpack another legendary with the end-of-the-month rewards and I'll have more deckbuilding choices.
I feel so dirty, but don't care. Because finally for the first time, I can call myself a Legendary Hearthstone player! Finally hit legend for the first time with Aggro DH! Now I never have to make that legend push again!
Reverse situation for me. Since the new rank system only requires 15 stars from last rank floor, instead of the old 25, it is a hell of a lot easier to hit legend. Therefore I did the push with random meme decks. Now at legend, I’m playing full time DH (3 different types) to work on the portrait.
DH is strong, even deserves the fine tuning it is getting, but don’t be fooled, you’re all hitting legend because of the new system, not due to some incredibly oppressive deck. There has never been this many legends so early in a season before.
The sheer popularity of DH at last rank floor even makes it possible to completel tech against and breeze to legend that way, so let’s not pretend DH is a necessary evil to hit legend. The new outcast mechanic is fantastic, and really rewards players for thinking ahead and planning their turns.
I know it's a polarizing deck, but nothing else was working for me past Diamond 10 than Priest. Dragon Hunter, followed up with pre-nerf DH, got me up to Diamond pretty quickly, but I couldn't sustain any momentum after that.
Rez Priest, swapping cards in and out occasionally, work like a charm. 71% from Diamond 9, finishing with an 11 win streak (including dumpster legend, >10k).
FWIW, I love Soul Mirror. Probably superfluous in a deck with 2XPlague of Death, but there are those rare times you can copy something super useful, e.g. the time I copied a Archmage Vargoth after my own went down to Hex. Shenanigans!
I've played 20+ games with this Odd Token DH and not once was Nethrandamus useful, most of the time sitting as a dead card in my hand. Until this game when he forced a concede from my opponent who was beating me down all game. Thanks for being useful for once, Nethrandamus! Time now to remove your useless ass from the deck. :P

I played a lot of Rez Priest in the last meta which inflated my wins with the class, so it's the closest I have to another golden portrait at 214 wins.
However, I'm solely playing Demon Hunter now, managed to grind to 110 wins so far. I probably would've had 150+ if it weren't for all those annoying Warlocks on ladder. Boy, the Sacrificial Pact nerf can't come soon enough, it just hard counters any Demon Hunter deck. I just want that golden DH portrait!
My guess is her but honestly I would prefer a male Rogue portait this time around even though I'm huge fan of female portraits. Rogue is missing some equality if we come to that spot. :)
And Warrior needs a female portrait also. :)
Edit: Oh i've missed the sibling part. We will get another Windrunner then ?
I initially had Dragon's Pack as a one off in the deck but it wasn't performing well and has anti-synergy with the evolve effect of the weapon. It's played winrate on HS replay is 43.5%
The deck is indeed reliant on drawing and playing the weapon at the right time, however I found in most games I was able to do this. Sorry to hear you didn't find much success.
I dont think this mechanic is even a good idea. You can just ping out enemy health or restore your health little bit and you gain strong effect. I would prefer to keep it as below or above 15 health, but that would sorta take away warlock and warrior identity/style if used for all classes. Probably the identity or style is not that important nowadays.
Maybe... but hopefully meta shifts around and something new will come out of it... we definetily have seen before seemingly non consequential changes suddenly changing the meta a lot because "Oh this thing comes out 1 turn later, now suddenly deck X is viable instead of being countered by it every time", so hopefully we will have new contenders...
Wouldn't surprise me if the devs have only just been reminded that Juicy Psychmelon existed. Kael'thas might actually break the speed record for the quickest double nerf in hearthstone history.
As for not being able to predict the hero power, what you're saying is true but think of it in a different way - there are 3 possible outcomes so you can somehow predict them and yet you can never be 100% sure what you will get so you constantly have to adapt. The same goes for your opponents, potentially they have to think about not just one play but MULTIPLE ones based on the hero power that you can get. Such a gameplay dynamic is extremely appealing to me from a design standpoint. Also, you have cards like Aspiring Understudy to counter the randomness.
I understand what you're trying to achieve with the design, I just don't think the result is fun, for either player.
The Shaman Hero Power is already my least favourite, because the randomness inherent in its design doesn't make for fun gameplay. I believe randomness is a core component of Hearthstone, but to have it as a Basic Hero Power, something you'll utilise every time you play as or against a class, is not fun.
To then take the already shaky premise of the Shaman Hero Power, and increase the randomness in such an unfun way - three Hero Powers of differing mana costs and thus power levels - just doesn't seem like fun gameplay to me. Forcing the player to play bad cards in order to somewhat mitigate the randomness doesn't make the idea more appealing, it honestly makes it worse. That's doubling down on and trying to work around a flawed initial idea, in my eyes.
I can try and get behind the idea of three comparably powerful Hero Powers swapping at random - it'd still not be my favourite design idea in the world, but I can see why some people might like that. But currently the randomness is pushed too far.
Was wondering what you think about the revamp I suggested.
To be honest hero power at 1 is pretty broken. It allows for so much flexibility, and technically making inspire cards absolutely a nightmare to face against. Ive always thought Illidan's hp, though underwhelming, is already the best in the game for an aggressive class simply because of its efficiency.
It kinda reminds me of rogue's hp at the start of hearthstone where it adds +1 attack to the weapon if you're already holding one, and that quickly spiraled out of control, and having the ability to store the dudes and swarm the board at key turns might be actually impossible for some classes like rogue and hunter to deal with.

Well done op! And the others too!
I managed it today with a carpet galakrond Rogue list which did surprisingly well against dh and went on a bit of a streak with it.
Onyxia was my legendary.. Feelsbadman. Can also echo the point about lots of legend players; came in at 10,500 or something!
