Judging by the interactions in this thread, it really does seem like you haven't fully appreciated the subtle -- but extremely important -- differences between this and other card games. My advice would be to watch a streamer, pause frequently to try to predict their plays, and take note when and why you are wrong.
Most of the time when they do something you didn't expect, it is not just a difference of opinion. And because you have experience with other games, I'm willing to bet your errors have little to do with general fundamentals and everything to do with the many unique aspects of Runeterra.
That's all I'm saying. Runeterra isn't a completely different game with completely different strategies. I didn't realize it would be such a controversial topic to ask for a decent low level deck. My apologies.
but thank you for the obvious recommendation.
Kalaind, budget problems aside, i say if u can play the rally fearsome deck. its on swimstrim website already provided by Elendil. its on the Decks and Meta tab. if u cant have 60% win ratio with that deck on bronze then we might have a problem. that deck is very good and synergizes very well with Hecarim which btw is busted as hell and likely to be nerfed.
Yeah, you can enjoy whatever deck you love as long as you don't expect to rank up AT ALL. Maybe they should remove wild ladder then if it's not supposed to be balanced and competitive.
Regarding The Rekindler, I don't think it would be appropriate to nerf it unless you can come up with a couple of other decks where it's truly oppressive.
If Hecarim is pretty much the only time Rekindler is a problem, that points to the real problem being Hecarim. In fact, Rekindler could make a good canary in the coal mine for detecting troublesome Champions in general.
Believe it or not, this is a sign of a healthy game.
It means there are so many viable decks out there that you cannot just pick the "best" one and rely on it to propel you up the ladder. The meta shifts quickly as different streamers popularize different decks, with many switching it up every day or two.
And of course, players who build their own decks have a pretty good chance of putting together something that works in a game that makes the claim, "Every card should have a home."
This may seem daunting for players with small collections, but the good news is that you can often go back to an old favorite that you thought had stopped working, and suddenly find that it's strong again. The other good news is that you can complete quests against the AI, so there's a path forward even when it seems like absolutely nothing can win in PvP.
This is a calendar for special events coming to MTGA. There's supposed to be another Workshop, but I'm not sure yet if it's happening this month or later. You can find details below.
March 1, 2020:
Brawler's Guildhall (Feb. 19 - Mar. 19) Format: Brawl - Cost: 10,000 Gold or 2,000 Gems
Festival of the Gods: Nylea (Feb. 29 - Mar. 3) Format: Giant Monsters Emblem - Cost: 2,500 Gold or 500 Gems
Mythic Points Challenge - Ikoria (Feb. 29 - Mar. 1) Format: BO3 Standard - eSports - No Broadcast
I want a rotating format so bad. I would love to play my old cards without having to go up against the most OP decks imaginable. That's one of the things I like about rank 20-10 in wild. No one's playing busted garbage like odd paladin and quest mage, so you get to see the cards or decks you might miss, like Jade Idol and Deathstalker Rexxar.
There may be some confusion about what you mean by "low level." Were you looking for a budget deck, or something that is simple to pilot?
I assume you know how to search for budget decks.
For easier decks to get some practice with the game, try the Fearsome aggro list or maybe Ephemerals. Good Champions for getting your feet wet are Elise and Zed. Also, any Hecarim deck is going to be a powerhouse, and he's pretty straightforward if you don't immediately try to dive in with his combo deck.
Yasuo is one of the worst Champions for new players, as he is a) actually pretty mediocre, and b) fairly difficult to use well.
Emote spamming is not the only BM that exists though. A lot of what's been getting me is the intentionally roping (intentional meaning every turn or after they've already made their play or even when they obviously have lethal).
I guess my main point: Blizz ALREADY HAS this set up for OW - I can't imagine porting to another one of their games would take much effort.
And while maybe it isn't "necessary" for any one individual match, it can absolutely be good for the overall health of the game to encourage your player to not be juvenile asshats.
To my exact point: I've played a lot less HS the last few days then I normally do in part because I've had my fill of the BM right now. I would expect I'm neither the first nor last player to scale back/stop playing entirely after dealing with consistently toxic opponents.
Why would they spend time implementing this when Squelch exists?
I understand why this system is good in a game like Overwatch, but for Hearthstone, that's honestly a bit of overkill.
The extent of player "interaction" that the game provides is extremely minimal compared to Overwatch.
If an opponent BM'ing triggers you that much, then Squelch them. If you don't like people saying stupid shit to you when you accept them as a friend after a match, then don't accept their friend request.
I personally auto squelch every single match. An endorsement system would be a new feature that I would never use. I feel there are many much more important features that need to be worked on in the game. A much simpler solution, would be finally adding an auto-squelch option.
Maybe if they did something to enhance the social interaction beyond emotes? But as is, this is not needed.
Don't know why this is downvoted... could be good to be able to play past metas... maybe in a rotating way so that there's not too many formats at the same time.
I'd also like a mode where you could play any deck that has been standard at some point... so play past meta decks against decks from other metas.
Ditto! D:OS 1 & 2 are such amazing games I was so pumped when I saw Larian was doing BG3. Glad to see this early stuff looks as good as my expectations were hoping it would be!

[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
No. The "brother" is not generated by the card you're looking for.
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Mind Control Tech?
Needs a big enemy board and gains a "brother" after taking one?

They should add another mode where they can rotate the most broken cards from wild into that mode.
I'm pretty sure there are many broken cards right now at wild that are no fun.
Let's talk about Hecarim
