  • Reached 1.500 wins with Hunter yesterday, the first class to come that far. I think this is a good time for Blizzard to introduce new Hero Power frames for 1.500, 2.000 and 3.000 wins. :P

Trying to give DH the last 95 wins for golden Illidan now, which is kinda hard in Wild. Still not liking Shaman as a whole. Maybe 1.000 wins Gul'dan next?

  • Here's my idea for this week:

Rise of Shadows saw quite some Deathrattle support and also Sylvanas' sister Vereesa Windrunner so this might fit pretty well imo. It obviously negates the League of Explorers vs. League of E.V.I.L. theme but that's just that. I'm also aware of the fact that this a massive preemptive powercreep on Jewel of N'Zoth and that there's a similar card in Amulet of Undying. On the plus side, resurrecting Deathrattle cards fits Sylvanas' flavor pretty well imo and I like the simplicity of the effect. What do you people think? Which artwork do you prefer (I'm leaning towards the one on the right)? Will add feedback later!

  • Congrats Demon! Very cool flavor and I love the art.

  • I'm totally with you and I'm saying that as an Aggro player. The 40 Health option gives midrange decks a chance to survive long enough to take back control and that's great. As long as the meta doesn't turn into a combo clown fiesta, I'm super happy with the Prince.

  • One of the devs said on twitter that this is expected to be the most meta defining free legendary they've ever dished out and that they're ready to adjust the numbers (40 health / 40 cards) if necessary. I wouldn't write the card off just yet.

  • Congrats BloodMefist! Nice card :)

  • Nice deck and a great guide, well done!

In reply to Hunt all Spells!
  • Okay, I'm gonna say it: I don't like the new logo. Maybe it just takes some time getting used to it, but I already miss the old one.

Other than that, I don't see many changes on mobile. I'll give more feedback once I've tried desktop.

Edit: forgot to say thank you. Thank you for all your efforts to make this a great, informative, wholesome and creative place for us. I really appreciate it.

  • Seconded, Goliath to the rescue!

  • Congrats to ChickyChick!

I'm a little sad to see people did not share the enthusiasm I felt for my card :/

  • I'm a little surprised about the participation as well, last week's theme was way more difficult imho... anyway, here's some feedback:

Both are cool, but Envoy is a little less exciting and just too blatantly working around the only 1 Legendary per deck rule for my taste. Wave of Evolution on the other hand goes down a newish path since there aren't many legendary spells in the game right now and the effect fits Shaman but is executed in a different way than usual. Nice work!
Regarding your feedback, do you think I should make my Hero Power targeted or just create a different one? I tend to just keep it as it is since the weak Hero Power balances out the pretty strong Battlecry of the hero card.

    BloodMefist
Both are well-designed and useful, but none of them has me terribly excited somehow. Can't really tell you why though… Don't get me wrong, I'll still give you 4 stars for each of them, it's just that last spark that's missing for me. Out of the two of them I'd probably go with the Shaman card even if it's a bit unlucky that we've both created "Witch Doctor" cards (that's a spelling error by the way… according to Wowpedia, you've got to make it two words -> "Witch Doctor") Fingers crossed rl stuff sorts itself out quickly and the way that's best for you!

    Wailor
I really really like it since it's both funny and pretty useful. That said, I much prefer the first (random) version for just the reasoning you've pointed out yourself.

    BasilAnguis
Very solid, interesting and well balanced card. The only gripe I have with it is that the art doesn't look much like Hearthstone. Are the characters WoW-lore based?

    linkblade91
I really like the flavor of the card and that it supports the SI:7 archetype. That said, I'd go with the one that copies the top card of your opponent's deck since it's way more interesting. I'm not sure if all out copying the card is the way to go here though, I feel like becoming a 1/1 copy would be better. You might not be able to fit that information into the textbox though. One of my favorites this week for sure anyway!

  • I found something very flavorful and lore-friendly in my art storage and came up with this idea:

Things I'm considering and I'd like to hear your thoughts about (on top of general feedback):

    - The Battlecry might be strong enough to raise the Cost of the hero to 7.

    - Both the Battlecry and the Hero Power are all out transforming themed at the moment, but I could mix things up a bit with the Hero Power summoning a Tiki or a Voodoo Figurine with an interesting effect.

    - The Hero Power got the random targetting treatment to avoid it being completely OP. I could make it targeted without the Cost reduction though.

    - I took the Frog token from OOC's card data base, but it has the Legacy watermark... is that the correct one here?

I haven't been that excited about one of my custom card ideas in quite a while :) Please help me polish this card to bring out its full potential!

  • Congrats linkblade!

  • Very nice work, the art and the flavor is great! I also like the new keyword and the fact that the powerlevel is a little too high overall, just like a custom expansion should be :)

  • Thanks for the inclusion! If anyone's looking for a guide for Deathrattle Hunter, Swizard has posted an article with a nearly identical list and a detailed description of how to play the deck last week.

  • Congrats to RenoLord!

  • Thanks for the offer Lemushki, I only saw it just now. I'll just go with the Rogue picture being a little off, that's just how life is sometimes.

So here we go, I finally got around to buying new frames, painting them and printing the missing screenshots. My Hearthstone wall of fame is up to date again!

  • Some late feedback:

    Demonxz95
I'm a bit torn on this one. I like the flavor you're aiming at, but it feels a little forced not to use Honorable Kill since the effect is already in the game with Korrak the Bloodrager. Some might consider it a power crept Redemption but I think there are enough differences between the cards to go with it. Finally, the art is a little on the edge of what HS should look like for me. I'd rather expect this on a Runeterra card I guess? So all in all I totally get why you don't want to submit a card that's similar to linkblade's but I still like your initial idea much more.

    BasilAnguis
I really like the flavor! The facts that it's a 5 Mana do nothing and that you will burn a card more often than not when the Deathrattle goes off lead me to think it might even be okay as an Epic. Make sure to change the watermark (and the name) before you submit!

Hey there, welcome to this part of OOC! Very nice idea you brought out as your first contribution. I do agree with Demon though, big AOE wouldn't fit Paladin's class identity very well. That can easily be fixed by reducing the amount of Health that gets restored though (which in turn would make a change of the cost necessary). As the others have already pointed out, don't forget about the spell school tag and if in doubt, always go with a custom watermark. Good luck in your first competition!

  • Thanks for your help! I know I'll have to take a second look at balance and execution (spelling error, italic text...), I just wanted to hear your thoughts about the wording of the buffing effect and quickly posted right before dozing off last night :)
