Update: I've reached out to Celestalon on twitter about the reward pop up and got an answer! He said it's a known issue they want to resolve soon. So if you're close to reaching a class treshold and care for those pop ups like I do, you might want to wait a bit.

Third golden class completed this year :))) Beast Druid, Shadowburst Priest and Pirate Rogue did the job. It's a bit funny since Warrior has been close for ages, but playing Questline Pirate Warrior just isn't fun for me.
BIG disappointment for me: I didn't get the ingame pop up for 500 wins but had to claim the achievement in the menu. This is sad for me because I used to take screenshots, print them and add them to my HS wall of fame. :(
Maybe I'll go for Demon Hunter next or I'll dig up a good Warrior list that isn't QL Pirate.

Looks like the big question is if Mech Mage can kill before turn 6 then. Tough, but manageable I think. Maybe the solution is to get in a little burn as well, like Fireball or Ignite.

Another great article! One thing I'd like to point out is the Volcanomancy + Venomous Scorpid combo. Scorpid is already decent on its own in slower decks, but 5 Mana for a full board clear more often than not, plus Discover a spell (in Mage!) plus a must-clear body?! This combo alone makes Volcanomancy a 4 star card in my books.

Nice analysis, sounds convincing to me! The one thing I'd like to debate is Azsharan Gardens. I could see it replacing Mark of the Lotus in token decks.

That's the second keyword that behaves in other ways than I would have expected in less than a week, and I've been playing since 2015.
(The other being Freeze, which actually only "consumes" one attacking opportunity. Example: My opponent had a minion on board on their turn which was ready to attack, but they chose not to do so. They proceeded to play Snowfall Guardian, which froze said minion. When their turn was over, the minion immediately thawed and was able to attack again on my opponent's next turn. That would not have been possible if they had attacked with it on the intital turn of the sequence. At least, that's what I've gathered from more experienced players on Discord.)

I don't mind a single Guardian, even if it is a big one. What annoys me though is Guardian into Guadian into Parrot into Parrot into Shudderwock with a Grumble somewhere down the line and Loatheb in between for good measure. There sure are some tech cards like Dragonbreath, the new Blademaster or Starfish, but you can only slot in so many tech cards without crippling your deck in other matchups. Maybe this is Blizzard's way to let people who weren't around at the time enjoy the feeling of OG Freeze Mage.
All that said, what REALLY annoys the hell out of me is that Guardian is still bugged sometimes. Every other time my opponent's minions get frozen by their own Guardian but thaw on my turn which is very problematic if it is their second or third Guardian turn and I wasn't able to clear the board in the meantime.

I'm not convinced yet. You only have two Starfish (if you can afford to load your deck with both copies) while the Shaman has two Snowfall Guardians and two Parrots plus any Windchills they run or generate. Your only chance is to kill them the turn your Starfish hits which is admittedly more than we have now. Let's hope it will be enough.

The first thing that comes to mind that needs destruction of all copies is Shudderwock. You'd need once copy on the board though which will have triggered Loatheb more often than not and this wouldn't stop Macaws either. I fail to see where this is better than Plague of Death yet (from a Wild point of view).

I just stumbled over this thread and I want to thank everybody for their contrubitions so far. There are direct and indirect pieces of advice all over the place that might help me improve my situation as well. I don't want to go into too much detail, but way too much screentime is a big part of it. Alas, knowing what the right thing to do is and acting upon that knowledge is a huge difference.

Nice to see the thread alive and kickin!
I can second the recommendation of The Girl With All The Gifts, it's a very original take on the zombie genre with a very cool ending. I think they even made a movie based on the book but I haven't seen that one yet.
I've finished The Demon Cycle by Brett which I can't recommend enough. Rarely a series managed to increase in complexity so much without it feeling forced like this one did. Next in line is The Name of the Wind which has been waiting for its turn for far too long already.
For my fellow Sci-Fi lovers: Don't miss out on Paolini's To Sleep in a Sea of Stars!

Man I swear this series has eaten away at least half of my dust over the last 6 months. Now I'll have to find and dust 4 trash legendaries again to recraft Rhok'delar. Who needs dust anyway. /s

Don't be modest and post the deck list already ;-) looking forward to it as well, I hope I'll get all the cards :)
Wait a moment, I'm stupid. The scorpid has to die before the AOE goes off, which makes it way worse. I imagined it to happen like Flurgl/Toxfin. Meh.

Oh my Yogg, sorry. Don't know what happened there.
Is it Blackwater Behemoth then?
Colaque. Are we playing ping pong? Where are R and Live4vrRdieTryn?

That's correct, back to you!
An easy one to get things rolling again:
If you wanna go all the way down
Better take a guide
Who makes sure you don't drown
Or you may never return to the light
Raid the Docks
Is them adressing us as "Adventurers" a hint? Haven't noticed this before.
