  • Well fuck me I guess. I really thought there would be some fresh and interesting content to be found here (D4 hasn't seen much interest on this page so far) but it's just a scammer. Can't report since it's a post to the thread though... someone do something please if anybody still cares.

  • Would be very cool to list the actual cards in this article - I'm a hyperengaged player and still don't know half of the images in that teaser.

  • First and last time I went hunting Signatures and left way too much money on that path. Still my favorite expansion of the year though, Excavate was a great keyword and there are so many cards in this set that I still love to use in Wild.

  • Lots of light and lots of darkness in here for me. I love most of the TITANS, they were a solid win. I hate Yogg and his location and all that came with them though. Not my favorite expansion at all.

  • I really like a lot of the cards from this expansion. Black Rock'n Roll, Symphony of Sins, ETC, quite a few of them have become staples in my decks. Easy 5 star expansion for me since the flavor was pretty cool as well. Maybe not as an overarching theme, but certainly within the classes.

  • Best reveal day for me so far. First and foremost: Wronchi reveals are the best <3

The Wisp package looks interesting and fun to play.

Agamaggan ("piggy") already sparked a deck building discussion in Wild circles. We're looking for ideas to discount it and combo with Glinda Crowskin.

For the folks lifting an eyebrow at [Hearthstone Card (Q'onzu) Not Found]: Merch Seller :D :D :D

  • Game time is way down in anchorm4n's harbour as well. I've decided to make a career move and that eats up a lot of attention and time. On the plus side I'm wasting less time on social media, in fact I've deleted my accounts on Bluesky and reddit.

What gaming I still do is Hearthstone. Got Wild legend with QL Fatigue Demon Hunter this weekend. After mainting top 100 since December I've decided to tank my rank and play some more fun oriented decks again. Playing competitively is my thing, but I need a break. Other than that I'm really afraid of the patch notes I expect for this week. There are massive nerfs bound to be incoming if they want to make the new set relevant in any shape or form at all.

  • Sounds reasonable. What most people on the internet seem to expect is the "once per game" treatment though.

Let's hope Shaffar remains playable in some shape or form, there's potential for some Wild shenanigans to be had here.

  • Sorry to hear that, StormKnightSera. I'll keep my fingers crossed for things to massively improve quickly on your side!

On my end, two things dominate gaming January:

    • Finished my first Diablo 4 season with a very decent Necromancer, I was able to consistently beat Duriel on Torment 4 in the end! Also got all the best mythics and tried my hands at trading 2 items - now I have 8 billion gold in my Eternal account lol. This season I went with the barbarian class. Haven't come far yet, but smashing baddies with Hammer of the Ancients is super fun!
    • Hearthstone is completely on the sideline when it comes to game time. That said... I'm still having the biggest success ever somehow. Reached a new personal best at rank 35 yesterday, exclusively playing Hooktusk Rogue which is a tier 3 deck lol. I will keep pushing this with a hand full of games per day and see how far it can go. Not gonna lie, I do feel proud about that one.
  • That's very kind and considerate of you, but definitely unnecesseary. You do what's best and most fun for you first and foremost and if that happens to corelate with my interests, we'll call it a happy bonus.

I wish you a quick and full recovery and the best possible results for the biopsy! Glasses sound like the lesser problem in the grand scheme of things but surely are quite a pain in day-to-day life. Fingers crossed for a quick solution on that front as well - ideally not out of your pocket, as I seem to remember someone else caused the situation that broke them.

  • Don't go out of your way for my sake! From what I've seen so far I understand that you enjoy Baldur's Gate and PoE a lot. Removing one of them for Wukong probably isn't worth it.

  • Still playing an ungodly amount of Diablo 4, I'm very close to what I'd consider my character finished though. Between that and the new season hitting I'll try to tune it down a bit.

Hearthstone sees a little less play, I'm not even legend in Wild yet. There are rumors of a Wild tournament on EU this month but it seems they want to wait for the mini set to drop before doing it. That one should be right around the corner and I expect it to be just as overpowered as usual. Not very happy with the state of HS to be honest.

Maybe I'll just get a PlayStation Portable and make diablo my main thing. We'll see.

  • Thanks for asking! My vote goes for Wukong as I'm considering trying it myself. The biggest question for me is how Soulslike it actually is. Is it possible to go easy mode and just enjoy the story and the graphics? Is it open world? Are there many side quests? Stuff like that.

  • Happy new year everyone! Time for the big 2024 recap :D

My Hearthstone year has been just as busy as the previous one with lots of milestones reached and even some surprises on the way:

    • All new year's resolutions done by pushing Demon Hunter, Paladin and Priest over the 1.000 wins threshold!
    • Optional new year's resolution done by improving my best rank: Hit legend on day 1 in September and made it to rank 40 💪
    • Reached 1.000 wins with my favorite class Death Knight shortly before their 2 year anniversary in Hearthstone. 💀
    • Reached 2.000 wins with Hunter which is the entry treshold to Sidisi's Hunter class wins leaderboard. 🏹
    • Literally on the last day of the year I've managed to improve my personal best score in Arena to 11 wins (previously 7)!
    • Kept the streak of reaching legend in Wild every month alive (ongoing since October 2022), got double legend twice and several Wild 11x finishes.

    Class progression:

Overall very happy with this. 284 less wins than 2023 but I've also reached Platinum in Hades and spent almost all my gaming time in December with Diablo 4.

    Moneys:

Ouch. Hunting signatures for Showdown in the Badlands was not the best idea I ever had.

    Class leaderboard:

The general trend of favoring aggro decks won't change any time soon, so I expect Rogue and Priest to keep the top spots. Getting some numbers in here for DH and DK was very cool though!

    New year's resolutions for 2025:

    • Spend less money on the game 💀
    • Reach 1.000 wins with Druid and Warrior, make significant progress with Shaman.

How about you guys and gals?

  • Merry Christmas everybody! We had a very chill few days that were mostly spent eating and relaxing. I got personalised espresso mugs and a very beautiful art piece from my wife. Blizzard was kind enough to dish out some gifts as well - got my first mythics ever in diablo today!

  • A little over two weeks into Diablo IV I'm speechless at the sheer immensity of this game. I have really put in quite a few hours but the number of things I can do keeps on increasing, I haven't even unveiled the whole map yet. That said it's lots of fun and the graphics are so beautiful! Can't wait to dive a little deeper still :-)

(Current standings: Finished the main campaign, but not the DLC yet. Level 60 Blood Surge Necromancer, unlocked Torment difficulty just yesterday.)

Hearthstone hasn't been much fun lately although I've used my 11x star bonus to climb to legend with Hooktusk Pirate Rogue which was really cool. Entered at top 300 and left it at that mostly. Grinding out the event games is a chore for someone who usually rarely plays Standard and no BGs at all. Surely we'll get a Seedlock nerf before the holidays, right? 😬

  • Thanks for your thoughts and observations, Flux! I'll do a deeper dive on reviews and stuff while I'm saving up for the thing.

December gaming will feature a big focus on Diablo 4 for me. It's my first Diablo ever and so far I love the atmosphere, the music and the world. I went with a Necromancer for my first run and it feels pretty powerful. Only level 11 yet but I think I can already say I like the game :-)

Other than that, I managed to secure 11x in Wild Hearthstone, so I can afford to climb with a fun deck this month. Looking at my class wins I should focus on Druid and Warrior but it's hard to find lists that are fun and halfway competitive for those. Maybe I'll invest some dust and give Ysiel Druid a try or finally craft the last missing cards for QL Fatigue Demon Hunter. In Standard I'm going to spam Asteroid Shaman until it gets nerfed. I forgot what format Twist will restart with, but I'd like to play Hunter there... only 6 wins away from the 2.000 wins mark which grants access to Sidisi's leaderboard. It would also be nice to claim I got legend with Hunter in every format and since Classic is no longer around and I only ever got legend there once with Hunter, I don't have any other options lol.

  • Ooooh that sounds like you're just the guy to harass with a question that came up lately!

So I am loosely considering getting a gaming PC. I currently mostly play Hearthstone on my iPad and my smartphone. Other than that I use my PS5 for games like Witcher 3, hades, diablo, god of war, Jedi. What makes me consider getting a pc on top of that is

    • the idea of streaming hearthstone / doing a podcast
    • the ability to get back to some of my favorite games from the past like the portal series
    • maybe finding an emulator that allows me to also play old Nintendo favorites like ocarina of time

Now gaming PCs are expensive but I don't really need it to be top notch because I can always rely on the PlayStation to manage the high end stuff.

So. Would you say the imac mini m4 in its cheapest version would be a good answer to these expectations? Do you have any experience in how easy and stable steam can be used on these? I've read a bit about that and while some people say it's super easy, others had lots of trouble. Any other thoughts or stuff I should be aware of?

  • Quote From Lemushki

Congrats! That is quite some work put into the game. I still have to play it, sitting there on my backlog. Will try to try it next month :)

Thanks! That's the beauty of it... Most of the achievements come naturally if you just enjoy the game and play a lot. There were only two or three that took some effort or made me do stuff I usually wouldn't have without the incentive.

Thank you, too, @linkblade91! Unfortunately I still don't have a gaming PC, so I fear I'll have to wait a little longer until the sequel hits the PlayStation market.

Speaking of which... has any of you taken advantage of Black Friday deals? I know PlayStation has some nice sales going on like AC Valhalla, Horizon: Forbidden West and Diablo IV. I'll probably dip my toes in Diablo for the first time this weekend... The one downside is that all those sales are only for the digital versions and I have a disc console with limited space for downloads but eh.

  • Mission accomplished. What a masterpiece!
