  • Congratulations to AeroJulwin!

  • Just wanted to post my idea and found out that Bunker Sergeant is a thing. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

  • That's right, welcome back!

  • Thanks, must have missed that one :)

  • Will Drek'Thar and Vanndar be disenchantable for a full refund without a time limit?

  • Taunt is correct but the additional effect and the class are wrong.

  • Whoops, thanks for the pointer!

  • Congrats Avalon! Demonic Illidan is definitely among the coolest portraits in the game.

I'm closing 2021 with these standings:

That's all in all +447 wins since my last post about 4 months ago. I took a break of a little more than a month trying out FIFA Ultimate Team (don't do that, trust me) and it shows. The biggest progress has been made with Priest (+155) since Shadowpriest got me to legend no less than three times. Warrior is still closest to the next 500 wins portrait but I tend to lose interest in a deck that proves to be really OP like Wild QL Pirate Warrior. So yeah, maybe I'll continue pushing Priest as long as I enjoy it or switch over to Druid which I found a very cool deck for yesterday. Feels good to know that 4 classes are within 150 wins to the golden portrait with Demon Hunter close behind at 162 missing. Good luck to you all and don't forget to have fun ;-)

  • You fell right into my trap!

It might be unnecessaryly complicated, but I phrased that sentence like this on purpose: If 2023 finds Shadows happy and healthy, that means that 2022 has been a good year for them ;-)

  • Honestly, you should really stop starting threads like these. I'm not even sure if this is a serious attempt to start a discussion anymore or one of those opportunities to point someone to the Salt Thread. I give you the benefit of the doubt and take it as an invitation to debate netdecking, but as several people have told you before: check your manners mate. You can't expect us to happily exchange opinions with you when you start the discussion with such a haughty tone that borders on insult. And don't come back at me again with that freedom of speech stuff, it's not like your threads get locked (yet?). I for one won't reply to your rants anymore if you don't improve your choice of words.

  • Thank you for all your work and dedication Shadows. May 2023 find you happy and healthy!

  • Thank you for your encouragement! I'm doing my best for the time being even if I can't live up to Swizard's standards in creativity. Right now I'm searching the web each week for something interesting that isn't a complete meme to begin with and features a class that hasn't been on the series so far. Maybe someone more apt at deckbuilding might pick up the torch in a more interesting way, we'll see what the future holds.

  • I wouldn't say the deck as it is is tier 1, but it's definitely working. If you think you can't afford playing the rod just do the alternative combo with Vol'jin or Phylactery. Usually you'll find a moment to sneak it out though, like on a Plague of Flames turn later in the game. There's also an argument to be made that QL Hunter and QL Pirate Warrior play 5 mana do nothings on a regular basis ;-)

  • Congrats to BloodMefist!

  • Congrats to Wailor and DatMageDoe!

  • Less than 12 hours to ago in this competition as well! Better get those submissions in somewhere in between lunch, tea, second tea, dinner and dessert :)

  • Less than 12 hours to go! Don't forget to submit between what hopefully are great holidays for all of you :)

  • Happy holidays everybody!

  • Hmmm... I'd say hpmor.com is pretty fast paced :)

I'm also currently reading the 5 books Demon Cycle by Peter V. Brett which is just awesome. There are some cutbacks now and then to explain the protagonists' origins as well as slower parts where changes in society take place, but it never gets boring, there's always some action going on. Big recommendation for everyone who likes to read magical fantasy away from the usual spell casting stuff.

Next in line, I've finally given in and gifted myself with the Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear. A colleague convinced me it was worth it to read them even without much hope for the last volume to be released soon.

  • Happy to hear that! Flux told me a decision about how to proceed with the series will be made next week after the holidays. I'm looking forward to checking out your deck!
