Okay, so we get our first tier reward immediately (1 legendary card). Anyone opened this up yet? I'd rather have a random one from the new expansion if possible.
Also, since it resets the next expansion. Does it reset progression when Darkmoon Faire starts on the 17th?
Its just a few hours away until the full track will be known to us.
My guess is that it wouldn't be too far off the current reward system. If blizz were smart then they'd load it up well so people don't start complaining day 1. But then again, its still activision-blizz we're talking about.
Had it been a battlecry it would've been the greatest card printed in this expansion, even as a tech card.
But since it allows your opponent to choose first if they'd like to pop it, it'll more likely be a burden to you than to your opponent. Ironically, silencing this saves the entire board from being silenced.
I love handbuff cards. So I love this card as well.
But without something neutral like Saronite Chain Gang, it'll struggle to find a place in competitive.
Still, let's keep the hope alive by saying that this + Felsteel Executioner = opponent has no ooze and concedes. Yes its a highroll, but it makes me happy. Let me wallow in the hopes of this being good.
There's something in about this card. Playable in both hunter and warrior but little else.
Unless we start seeing Bumper Cars everywhere, or something like Springpaw come back to standard, this will only ever see very small niche plays, but will likely be forgotten like the many fillers seen in this expansion.
Mage and hunter probably the best home for it. And its really nearing the top end of being broken good. Basically this card draws a card from your deck and plays it for you. Kinda like how powerful Phase Stalker was, and this one guarantees value 1 turn sooner than phase stalker.
In mage, this is just too good not to include as well. We already seen game master as another Kirin Tor Mage. Let's throw in another kirin tor mage, except this one doesn't even require you to have a secret in hand.
Gonna see play all the way until its eventually nerfed or rotates.
Its a mage card in standard right now, with Confection Cyclone being so handy.
But unless there's some niche to having only a limited amount of spells in mage, I just don't see how this could ever make the cut. But make no mistake that 3 damage is pretty strong, just not strong enough in my opinion to compete with other cards in mage.
Token druid and aggro pally would love this card. Basically buffs your board's attack and allow for some trades. You'll probably be busy building a board the first 3 turns anyway.
I don't really rate the +4 attack too highly honestly. It's job is to buff, and act as a soft taunt. If you can corrupt it then its strong, but otherwise, its still going to do what you intended it to do anyway.
Powercreep on Scarlet Crusader but its likely that it will not see any play outside of arena, where it will be king.
The main problem is that you'd have to play a 4 mana card to activate the rush, and since rush is often seen as a removal on demand card, its likely just too slow to do anything. Had the divine shield be the description gained instead of rush, it would've been decent. Otherwise, its just inconsistent at best, bricking your hand at worst.
There's just no real way to evaluate a card like this since it also gives out stuff to your opponent. We make light of the bananas but these stuff can be real mean when played correctly.
Mage and priest would love it right away. Its use will depend entirely on what the meta looks like. If druid ends up on top again, then this card will nearly never be played. But if we have a meta similar to this one currently, then I don't see much downsides giving opponent bananas, especially if you can use it better.
Very strong and flexible card that can heal when against aggro and deal damage when against everything else.
Reminds me of Shroom Brewer, who was played solely for the 4 heal. This one does that and can potentially be even better. I expect to see more of this card in ranked, maybe in rogue and warlock the most.
Wish it were also a taunt. But then it would be completely broken wouldn't it?
Its face deck stuff. I don't get why so many are not impressed with something that deals a straight 4 face damage then develops a decent body. Stealth rogue and face hunter would've played this right away.
It has that all important 'all' tribe tag, so it will definitely be niche in nearly anything that plays a tribe deck.
Namely it can slot into murloc, totem and beast decks right away. If its bland, it makes it up by being flexible. And that alone makes this worth looking at twice.
But since guardian druid is not really good anymore, and most have now transition to mountseller, the only card that can corrupt this is survival of the fittest. So it lacks consistency
I like Cenarion Ward, but I remain skeptical of its usage, mostly because Exotic Mountseller turns is still in my opinion, the best way to play druid. I might be wrong, but mountseller into yogg? I don't see why this wouldn't be the apex for druid at least for the first week.
5/5 stars. That brand of mindless optimism really can spread. I can't help but think this as a meta changer, a blockbuster of epic proportions. The old Gods themselves will think themselves accursed to ever ignore the ever powerful wave of positive thinking that emanates from this one card.
After all, if we can have a best selling book raving about it making millions in the process, who am I to say its just nothing more than mindless gulling of those in need of real help?
Slow, and likely can't value trade. Even the card draw effect is actually a deathrattle, so the prevalent idea is that this will not and should not survive.
The card draw with a buff is decent. But since there's no way to really tutor what you want, the impact is inconsistent at best.
Likely a hunter card. But there's better deathrattles available to be honest.

Fungalmancer's piss take form this is good.
Anything that plays tokens or small minions will find a good place for this.

ha ha ha
No.
Too bad it will never draw enough to mill, and drawing cards for your opponent is not generally considered to be a good idea.
So sadly, no. Just another murloc filling up the role of maybes and ifonlys.

Nah.

Of course, outside of this its trash.

There's definitely something. There's Guardian Animals and Survival of the Fittest
