Because if its literally anti synergy with immune, then that would be a massive misfire from team5. I think it'll work by looking at the fatigue counter, not the actual damage taken like Shadowblade Slinger
Okay right here would be a card that'll bring plenty of sadness to everyone but its player.
Basically team5 just printed another Tickatus, but this one is infinitely more flexible, such is the flexibility that I cannot for the life of me think of a reason why this card shouldnt be in every warlock deck until it eventually rotates or more likely, gets nerfed.
At least warlock players would be happy. Unlike a certain class being given unbelievable dross for both legendaries this expansion.
Lol, compare this card with Free Spirit and the memes just get better and better. One only works when alive, the other works throughout the game.
So we remove Armorsmith because this card will obviously be broken otherwise. My question to team5 would be to ask "Just why". Because you can easily just have this give you 5 armor and that'll still give you more than what this card will realistically give outside of armor smith shenanigans. Be better than removing the one good card from warrior just for this shitter to exist.
However, its obvious this card will see play. Its the only quillboar and its effect don't suck...too hard. Basically speaking you'll likely get 2-4 additional armor from this card but seriously this is one big stinker in comparison to past cards like Eternium Rover, Drywhisker Armorer, and of course, armor smith.
The biggest problem with this card is that its a deathrattle, meaning you're likely not having control over what this copies. And since most of the good big spells are gone, what exactly is this card's target.
I think there's a case to be made for this card to replace Arcsplitter in frost mage, but that'll require actual data because both are pretty much similar in terms overall usefulness.
Its not exactly a poor card, because aside from the spell damage, let's not forget you're making up quite a decent board with one card alone on turn 4.
But likely for a class like mage its probably Guild Trader most of the time over this card. I will say that its not too bad a card in frost mage right now. Helps with the infuse, and adds to face damage.
Let's be real here. If you've lost board playing a midrange menagerie deck by turn 5 I think its light out regardless of how big or powerful this card is. The only good thing here is that it has baseline stats and taunt, which mitigate the conditions somewhat.
It'll see play, but I reckon its best use is likely in a slower warrior deck that doesn't play for board all that often. Its bizarre how this is the only good dragon around that mana range and yet curves perfectly from voone - a minion that needs to die for this to gain maximum value.
There's not much else to say about this other than the fact that it'll see play and will likely be a good card to keep on mulligan because for what its worth its mostly going to be a 3/4 with rush at very least anyway.
And yes, it suffers greatly by comparison with Rhyme Spinner, which is more than capable of getting to an 8/10 in the mid game if not more. One really does like to point out to blizz that giving rhyme spinner a 3 health base and this one 2 health, will kinda trigger people.
Its just more consistent than the two shadow words, but much worse considering that its 3 mana. I'd just play Cannibalize instead, which at least heals me. Otherwise, as a meta pick, I'd rather just play Shadow Word: Death or straight up ruin.
Its obviously meant to be a combo card, because on its own its just weaker than Frozen Touch in every way.
Imagine building around this card, getting past the convoluted mess that is arcane mage, and then its still not a guarantee that its going to do more face damage than frozen touch, a proven card that is absolutely broken. Why bother trying to get more copies of Lightshow when I can get more copies of that broken card instead.
Cool card & Design, should see play without being too oppressive. On a side note, does anyone understands the flavor text - Always remember P.L.U.R.: Peace, Laser-beams, Unity, Respect. - I have no clue what's the joke here ... Care to enlighten me?
The real PLUR is Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.
I think its the slogan during the hippie movement.
This is what warrior needed and is unironically the best card of this entire set for the class.
Even if it turns out to be nothing more than 2 mana draw 3 that's still a significant upgrade over the dross that has been given to them. The fact that this card and Conqueror's Banner is set at the same mana cost tells you everything you need to know about what has happened to warrior over the last 6 months.
Im a bit lukewarm on this card. Its true that mage traditionally gets away with off-tempo plays and this is pretty much that. But at the same time, it is still 4 mana, and while I'll easily keep Arcane Intellect in my mulligan for some matches, its harder to justify doing the same for this one.
That's exactly my problem with this card. It might be too slow, and made redundant by arcane intellect, which at very least is at turn 3, not the end of the world. Since flurry is rotating, you cant even reduce the tempo immediately against a good board.
But there's no dismissing its power level, so I'll just leave it on the fence for this one.
I dont rate this card at all. But at the same time priest may just have to run it in control decks because they practically lost three good AoE cards out the bat. The only dependable AoE now is Clean the Scene and that may be too slow.
But this card is weak to be honest. It'll kill two minions 90% of the time, but the unintended side effect is having those minions in your hand which you may not want to play.
Its definitely very strong, especially if played early.
But there are pitfalls. Firstly this will fit in nicely into most control decks but since those are reactive decks, there may not always be efficient ways to play out a spell just to keep the effect going. There will be times you get blocked from playing spells, especially in control mirrors.
And then there's the point that this is 3 mana up front, with no effect. So it'll never realistically make it into any other deck than control.
I like it, but more concerning is its immediate impact in wild, where it allows you to practically cheat out neptulon by turn 4...in addition to Illuminate, so its more consistent now. Not exactly what we want to see.
I'll be brutally honest, this card is very likely trash, much like its predecessor War Master Voone. The only thing stopping me from giving this a straight one-star rating is the fact that its very likely going to see play, but its win rate cant be good, in fact its likely menagerie warrior works better without this.
I'd like to first ask team5, what exactly is in their mind when they first designed this shit? What minion exactly is this supposed to replicate that'll immediately make this a playable card. Drum Soloist, the only viable dragon that's not shit or too expensive, curves from this perfectly but yet somehow is anti-synergy with what the deck wants to do. And then there's the other tribes...of which the only dedicated tribe card from this expansion is Razorfen Rockstar.
The One-Amalgam Band is not a finisher, let's be immediately clear here. So even with two, at most youre just stalling. Nellie is good, but you dont need two of them, not to mention too slow. And no, team5, we will not be playing Clash of the Colossals just so we can patch up warrior's lack of good minions.
So where we at? Poor stats, no taunt at least, and there's no decent targets. Can get better, but like the riffs I think its beyond a joke. Just compare this with School Teacher. That card has better stats, better value, and gets you out of sticky situations. What the actual fuck
Well, at least Roaring Applause isn't bad. You can easily end up drawing 3 cards in most scenarios so that's still acceptably good.
The menagerie theme though...well that's kinda harsh on a class like warrior, who had a torrid 6 months. Its not that the theme is bad, its just that its clearly underwhelming by the eye test, and being the first expansion past rotation, there's naturally not many choices to go for. Rock Master Voone for example is starting to look like an early april fools joke.
But there's yet hope for warrior. For all we know, it could end up with the best deck in the game. Tony, King of Piracy + The Fires of Zin-Azshari in a control shell. Retarded yes, but its still a warrior deck at the end.
These final priest cards are definitely supporting control, whereas up until now its mostly tempo plays. And really I think only Love Everlasting has potential whereas the others are simply redundant. Fight Over Me kills two minions, but bizarrely it might end up backfiring with two minions in hand that you'll never play or take advantage of. Shadow Chord: Distort is basically a slightly cheaper assassinate which sometimes dont do the job - or in other words too inconsistent to see play. I'd just pay one more mana to play Cannibalize instead.
Mage spells, and only two impresses me. Rewind can get you more stall or more burn, and Lightshow is just a build around, though I concede it might be redundant because Frozen Touch is proven to be consistent and not dependent on more discovers to do the job.
But we're not here to see any of these. In two hours, warrior card(s) reveal. Looking at how reddit went the past day I'd imagine the balance of the whole world is resting on that last legendary's shoulders.
Im at loss for words at how many direct damage cards they've gifted rogue. Now we can't even draw cards without doing damage.
Because if you trigger this finale even on a dagger, that's still 4 damage. Like seriously. Are we going to see weapon rogue back, except now its spread out and doesn't require a specific weapon.
All I can say is, it wouldn't surprise me if rogue takes the top spot...yet again.
Is that how these fatigue damage cards work?
Because if its literally anti synergy with immune, then that would be a massive misfire from team5. I think it'll work by looking at the fatigue counter, not the actual damage taken like Shadowblade Slinger
Okay right here would be a card that'll bring plenty of sadness to everyone but its player.

At least warlock players would be happy. Unlike a certain class being given unbelievable dross for both legendaries this expansion.
Probably just one, the tribe that is unused. That is, if we follow the same logic as cards like The Purator
Otherwise it'll be right broken as hell, imagine draw somewhere around 7 cards for 3 mana.
Lol, compare this card with Free Spirit and the memes just get better and better. One only works when alive, the other works throughout the game.
So we remove Armorsmith because this card will obviously be broken otherwise. My question to team5 would be to ask "Just why". A good card...for control warrior.
Let's be real here. If you've lost board playing a midrange menagerie deck by turn 5 I think its light out regardless of how big or powerful this card is. The only good thing here is that it has baseline stats and taunt, which mitigate the conditions somewhat.

This card is just good in most situations.
But the immediate one that comes to mind is Frozen Touch, Solid Alibi, and Deathborne
That alone makes this a good card. Other uses would be in arcane mage, with Magister's Apprentice making this a flat 0 mana discover.
This is just a good decent card.
There's not much else to say about this other than the fact that it'll see play and will likely be a good card to keep on mulligan because for what its worth its mostly going to be a 3/4 with rush at very least anyway.

Not good, but at least not completely redundant.
