- 1/1 with a totem in shaman, pretty decent - worse N'Zoth's First Mate in rogue, not sure about this one - worse Kobold Librarian for warlock, though that card is crazy - Lost in the Jungle for paladin, pretty good - instant Lepper Gnome for hunter + obvious hero power synergy, pretty decent - useless in DH, druid, priest, mage and warrior
Then there's the fact that this is auto-include in just about any odd deck. Also makes exodia paladin and shudderwock shaman much easier.
I like your review, the card now looks better to me than on the first glance. There is still a significant difference when you compare those cards. For example, instant leper gnome, but then you can't use hero power again on the same turn :)
A rare boring and bad card of this set. Should have Discover to be playable (see Twisted Knowledge for Warlock).
And even then it would be the 40th card you would put into a highlander deck.. Don't know why it's not discover 2 which is still bad cause of the discover over nerf (I am still quite upset it went from x4 to 0 they didn't even consider x2 or x1. 5 to make the mechanic at least a little consistent...)
Yeah, I agree. Twisted knowledge is okay because it discovers class cards. This card is probably bad even in Arena.
I remember I was tilted before when they play Flunky wall or Tortollan Fordring, but really Discover would be more interesting to consider with 1.5/2.0 class rate. Good, but not too strong in any way.
Didn't count the epics and goldens, since it's harder to count with dual-class cards being on both pages, but there were plenty.
Legendaries, 3 golden (2 of which came from a single golden pack :) ) and 5 normal in 140 packs. So, below average count for normal legs, but overall I'm happy.
With the pre-order purchase you are getting a legendary. PIggybacking this would mean that card counted as your "free" legendary. I get that this most likely wouldn't happen, but knowing that someone somewhere that has authority to speak on the matter confirming it would be nice
Well, pre-order leg is a Golden one, this one is normal, so if it happens it would certainly be a bug. There should be no need to worry :)
I think people will play this because all of the Soul Fragment payoffs are very powerful, but this card specifically doesn't look as good as some of the other cards that shuffle Soul Fragments. I haven't seen Demonwrath played in a very long time. This card will be played because Soul Fragments are probably worth it, but it isn't my favorite card in the Soul Fragment package.
Demonwrath got worse because of Demon Hunters, you can't hurt their early Demons. I think it will be played in control anytime aggro rises.
I count it as another pointless, meme legendary, that you would never craft. It looks to me like it wouldn't naturally fit in any archetype of either class, even highlander, since it is just a weak, inconsistent boardfill. If you have to think of specific scenarios and conditions where this would really shine, it's most likely not good enough.
And what exactly about this legendary's effect is of Rogue theme? Secret part (which, randomly only Druid had until now)? Summoning looks so opposite of what a rogue should do.
EDIT: AngryShuckie explained it's because of illusions she creates in WoW, now I like it a bit better. This is why I don't like discussion being separated, but I know why it's done.
For me, this is just a third bad legendary for Rogue this expansion, while dh continues op cards streak. In Wild, rogue is almost non-existent, any kind of control remains meme, and they don't print aggro cards for the class anymore. Very disapppointed. :(
On mobile, I don't even see you guys responded to anyone, just post under post :) I also can attest it is like this for quite some time, but I use Quote instead of Reply and it seems to work ok.
And here's me with my distaste towards Galakrond Rogue. I always picture rogue as a class that has to spend their (limited) resources strategically, plays dirty and has burst element. Right now, sure, it demands resource management a but more than other decks, but it has so much value that you can win just by autopilot spamming and curving out. It simply doesn't feel like rogue to me, i tried it and haven't enjoyed it, nor I like playing against it.
It would be of good value for Wild players. But I think it would feel strange to open a bunch of cards from random old expansions from a new pack. Even if they implemented the idea, after a while you would fill all those common and rare holes in wild, and then you're back at the beginning (considering you miss a bunch of epics from new exp, like most do). Thus, I feel there would be no significant difference in getting cards the current way and your way in the long run, while the proposed system would feel unnatural, at least to me.
I think it's a better idea to just buy those wild packs and fill what you missed. After all, we fought a hard battle until we got to buy them with gold. I bought some packs this way, and it was fun, brought back some nostalgia. For new players, I imagine it would feel like exploring a whole new expansion, also hitting those guaranteed-in-10s for some value.
I hope the game play satisfies your Baku Shaman desires. If this deck doesn't quite cut it, a less dragon-oriented version is showcased in this video by Roffle. It might even give you new ideas I didn't think of!
I fell in love with the idea of Baku in shaman that I have to spend dust on this! Many thanks for sharing, really cool looking deck! And Azure Beauty is so perfect here :)
Yeah I am not as optimistic anymore... with this 6 I opened 9 total... still 0 legendaries
Late reply.. Thanks for sharing. Someone shared Blizz post that we weren't guaranteed legendary in 10, so at least it's not total shit luck for you. :)
Has anyone else noticed that Lorekeeper Polkelt, when played by opponent, visually shuffles your deck? Maybe I am mistaken, haven't seen him lately.

I love reading these threads.

Yup, lol.. Guess I'll just take the jokes at me now 😄
Got me there, was too excited :) Still, crazy disruptive card.
Illucia + Explore Ungoro + Hemet???

Hurts to read.

Uncompletable quest still better than Galvadon :'(

It would be amazing if that rule applies here. How many have you opened yet? It would be nice to report if you get it, good luck :)
