I hope a much shorter timeframe if they do take that approach, which I suspect they will. We put up with buggy leagues, we'll put up with beta software as a full release :D
Honestly, I've removed the plates on my PS5 a handful of times and it's quite easy! There is some resistance at first that feels awkward, but they are very sturdy and can definitely handle abuse.
If you did mess something up, at least you have new plates at the ready!
I am definitely going to pick up some spidey plates. Even if they don't go on the console, they'd be an awesome art piece for the wall. I'm so happy that we're starting to see more of this customization stuff, and that it's not being reserved for a limited release console. The number of Switches I own at this point is a bit absurd (Original, Pikachu+Eevee, Animal Crossing, ToTK) and had Nintendo of been able to do a replaceable backplate, everything woulda been a+.
What Sony is doing here cuts down on e-waste. Sure, does anyone actually need spiderman plates? No. But if we're going to get them anyway, it's nice to have a more environmentally, and wallet conscious option.
I'm super curious what the next league is going to be. Crucible is a bit of a snoozefest and I assumed that was dude to PoE2 dropping at ExileCon into beta, and they'd just forgo a new season.
It sounds like Beta is a bit of a ways away though since promotional stuff for upcoming cons (ExileCon, Gamescom, and I believe a PAX event) says people can play PoE 2 at the show floor but the wording seemed like it would be the only real opportunity to play it, which puts us at least a few months away from a real public beta.
Which means at least one more full season for PoE1.
Nifty, you're just talking to yourself. That isn't really the purpose of these forums. As such, I'm locking this thread and any future threads where you're just talking to yourself. If you want a place to write more long-form, maybe we need to add the ability to blog on here.
A certain “content creator” was posting decks at the start of Festival of Legends with deck titles including stuff like “This deck is so broken” and I noticed they were literally posting the premade deck recipes.
That I'm not a fan of though. We don't really have any policies that are against that though.
Quite simply, it's allowed. I encourage content creators to post their decks here because it is a great resource for the community and it helps them build their channels which is only a positive thing for the game. Even better, some people link to their decks in their video descriptions which helps the site too - it's a mutual relationship =)
Seems about time that we have a thread to talk about the random games we've all been playing!
I'll get things started off for June 2023.
I've been dabbling in Path of Exile, aiming to get some more seasonal challenges done while we wait for Exilecon to announce the new season (and more PoE 2 info). I also recently was playing Diablo 4, though didn't really enjoy the experience (it will be better in a couple years certainly).
I've also had an opportunity to check out the new F1 23 game which feels like a solid improvement over F1 22. The new lighting looks fantastic and all the cars look better too. Small UI updates and overall better menu flow makes navigating with a steering wheel better. Regretfully I didn't get to write up a review for the game yet.
I'm hoping to get a chance to login to World of Warcraft Classic over the next couple of weeks since Midsummer Fire Festival is taking place and those achievements will be needed for that sweet Violet Proto-Drake =D
Also that Final Fantasy demo is calling my name. This weekend was absolute chaos though so I didn't get a chance to touch it.
YouTube is something that I do want to branch out into for the reason you've already gone into, it's just a time thing. I didn't really have the time to play Diablo 4 as it is, but you bet I made sure to fit it in because I wanted to give it a fair chance.
I 100% agree with the inventory. It feels so wrong to have everything the same size.
I played Path of Exile during its Alpha. I played it during Beta. I played it multiple times over the years during different seasons. Sure, the game wasn't great when it came out, but it did exactly what they wanted to - they wanted to make a better Diablo 2.
It's a bit of a difference though with GGG releasing their first title and Blizzard, who is supposed to be an industry titan. Blizzard has had several releases in the Diablo series and what we received was a half-assed attempt at a grand ARPG. Things they learned from Diablo 3, completely forgotten by the team 4's development started.
But, it's a modern game and they're expecting us to wait it out as they slow drip the essential content so they can keep our attention glued to a shop.
Now, your video of Asmongold. He's in a level 68 area. That can't even be considered end game.
I definitely think they will get there. Blizzard has turned most of their recent games around at some point in the patch process so Diablo IV isn't likely to be the exception. Given a few seasons, the game is 100% going to get another shot (and possibly the very first season too). Definitely waiting for that "Loot 2.0" unicorn though.
Feeling things out with some different types of content. Not everything may be everyone's cup of tea, and without access to games it can be difficult to see what is worth pushing into the spotlight, but that should be something that resolves with time as things ramp up here =)
All content from Out of Cards is still here and will still continue to be here. All we did was effectively rename the site. If something was available on Out of Cards, it will still be available on Out of Games.
Card database update is slowly being worked on. Ultimately, it's a very tiny issue compared to everything else that is going on.
Yeah we can't do renders for them until the client patch drops.
Mimiron's gadgets are all listed on his card pack as related cards

We've added this to the database early even though Kibler hasn't revealed the card text yet. Guess what it will be!

Nope.
Hah, Nintendo is so far up their own ass you'd be frozen for an eternity!
We've been bamboozled by Blizzard

Not really though haha.
Issue with the old logo appearing on mobile-only devices. Will be fixed on next update!
