Yeah, that was wild. Jumping right into card reveals without a break between them and the expansion announcement was very different and made for no time to get stuff prepared. Good to see the HS team do it though!

There was something absolutely insane I wanted to do for this year's April fools day, but it would have taken at least 2-3 months of development to be really good. I wish the time was there!

Do you have a Blizzard source on this? I haven't come across anything on it.

It was, though there may have been an issue which prevented some from seeing it and instead a blank spot was in its place. I made a tweak so it didn't do that anymore.
