BUG? I just tried to submit my entry and got the message "You're lost - we're not in the submission phase yet". Am I missing something it looks like the timer says the submission phase is open?
When visiting the submission page or when actually hitting the Submit Entry button?
ETA I just tried again and it went through - only difference is that when it didn't go through I had written a good bit in the "description" field about how i thought you could play the card. this time I only wrote one line of flavor text. Not sure maybe there's a hidden character limit on the description box?
Only the same limit that forum posts have, which to my knowledge has not been reached since we bumped it up. I don't see any real errors logged on the server-side of things so nothing completely failed which makes this even more fun to diagnose. We'll keep an eye out.

Yeah the old method, and even current one the fools use over there still, is so bad at being fair. Even though we had created a decent system of weighing the votes vs where you were at on the pages, it was never good enough.
Discuss Thread will always be pinned at the top of any competition page on that competition's navigation. We probably should have linked it here too *glares at Shadows*.
We've been talking about further improvements this evening based on everyone's feedback so far so they'll only get even better! I don't have an exact timeline or specifics so share yet, but we'll definitely communicate those closer to when we figure it out.
Yep, also a great piece of advice! It blows my mind how many people cough into their hands. It is such a bad habit that people learn early on (guilty myself) and we really need to get kids learning the arm trick.
We're happy to announce that Card Design Competitions now have their own system on the site! This has been a long time coming and this is just the first iteration of the system. Expect more from us in this realm in the future.
You can always find open card design competitions on the Fan Creations Portal.
A list of competitions will also always be available on the competitions listing.
If you run into any issues, please contact me or ShadowsOfSense via PM here or on Discord.
We will spotlight competitions in weekly news posts.

Fixed an issue where RSS feeds displayed the wrong URL.
Under Description, is that where we put the literal card description? Or?
This could have been better communicated. It is a spot for you to leave an optional description for your entry. We don't have a spot for inputting the card text itself though that would be a good improvement.
That last game was so rough to watch. I've been screwed hard by draws in the past, but that was some next level shit AND on the biggest stage possible.
It was an awesome weekend though overall and I can't wait for the next big event!
VR only, unfortunately. The game's mechanics are built around having it and they're doing stuff that wouldn't really be possible with a keyboard and mouse outside of "press F to do this entire action sequence"
I for one cannot wait to get back into City 17 and not only that but this time enjoy it in VR. From the small amount of footage I've seen, it looks like it is going to be a ton of fun and should look stunning. It makes me wonder how the title will end up shaping future VR titles - the lessons other devs learn from it and all that fun.
Who else is planning on playing? Are you buying a headset to play or did you already own one? Are you waiting for reviews before taking the VR dive?
Yeah back when that Echo change went through there was a lot of complaints about Reckless Experimenter still being nerfed so I definitely think there is a really good chance that is one of the reverts. They can always nerf it again in the future should it become OP.
For real. Blizzard has a goal though that prevents them from being very open, especially when it comes to announcing changes, which is a little unfortunate.
They want all their messaging on them to go out through blogs. The blogs need to be translated into all the languages they write their blogs in. There is SO. DAMN. MUCH. OVERHEAD. I see the value they're going for but really, everything just gets translated by the community anyway and Hearthstone cards get understood pretty easily I feel.
Its funny how their goal is to have translated messaging for card nerfs, but then when card announcements hit during streamer reveals, everything just goes to shit and sometimes community translations are straight-up wrong and we'll go hours before communication on that.
There has been a TON of improvement though over the past year in their communication. I attribute it to basically hiring an entirely new community team.
Easter! Though it is supposed to be Noblegarden and I've corrected the spelling.
Not sure what it'll be this year but last year we got the Dr. Boom takeover "Ignoblegarden". Mechano-Egg and Boomsday packs as login rewards and the "Dr. Boom's Ignoblegarden!" Tavern Brawl.
I honestly think Hearthstone took an odd approach to it, though it was somewhat needed with how expensive the game is and how they have targeted a very casual F2P audience. Outside of MTG Arena taking the same approach as HS, I can't actually think of any other game that offers content refunds upon balance changes now that I think about it.
Hearthstone always wanted the game to feel physical and that stuff wouldn't change because of it. Yet MTG has no problems getting rids of problems they've printed by banning the card, this is just the first time they can easily offer a replacement when players lose their standard cards.
Didn't mean to write a wall of text in response, but it is interesting the different sides that exist.

What page URL were you on?

Nope, everything is locked in once you submit. Allowing edits was a huge flaw in the old system!

We're all waiting for it so with Blizzard at least considering reverting some card changes, it leaves more hope than ever that it could happen.

Hopefully Runeterra pushes them in the direction of better daily rewards!
I feel the Ashe will be especially useful long-term since I don't see Frostbite ever being bad!

Haha, definitely seemed a little fitting :D :D
There are no refunds in League of Legends.
