It isn't that easy, unfortunately. They can definitely have a pretty good idea based on how many people they're planning on logging in right away based off previous data, but until the moment hits, they don't know how many people are really going to be on.
We've had similar issues with Out of Cards. I see how the site performs every day and where people are during higher periods of usage, but one time when people really spread out on the site, it caused us some issues that never even popped up on my radar.
But yeah, it is a good thing for them to have some temporary problems, as long as they don't become the only topic being talked about :D
From what I understand, the Beta season will last until beta is over, so it could potentially be a long one. Outside of that, they haven't confirmed an exact length yet.
We don't currently support flagging decks based on specific bosses from adventures. We'll roll out an update for this as soon as possible. For now, you can flag your deck as "Adventure" so it will at least be easier to find / share.
Our full adventure guide should be up later today as we've run into a few snags with the system.
We don't enforce a card limit on decks so its easy to share decks that break the deckbuilding norm. A good place this happens is in Tavern Brawls or Solo Content. I don't know why that person added that many cards to a deck, but I can tell you that when we do a deckbuilder update this year, we'll be letting people know when they are under or over 30 cards.
Is there meant to be an empty area top-right on the homepage?
This is currently intentionally left blank. We've got an ad that displays there normally. We'll need to figure out something useful to put there for our supporter friends :
*Once the update is live, adjusted cards will be eligible for a full Arcane Dust refund for two weeks.
It's been only 10 days since the patch and I already can't dust Ancharrr for a full cost refund. Anyone knows how come/why so?
I've heard some devices/platforms aren't seeing the correct info but it seems to work on PC.
It is amazing how Hearthstone QA seems to have gone out the window in the past 6 months. I love the speed that they're bringing stuff out, but really basic stuff is being missed
These take the place of the Hearthstone decks that were on our homepage from the start.
Hearthstone decks will still display at the top of the Hearthstone Portal.
Dev Commentary: This is a change that needed to happen at some point. We aren't a site that only focuses on one game and by having the entire homepage covered in Hearthstone-only content, it doesn't feel right. More Hearthstone-specific content (brawls for example) will be pruned from the homepage in the future. We'll continue to use the homepage to spotlight content from all the titles we cover, so look forward to that.
These are easy ways to access the different "homepages" on the site that we're calling Portals.
If you only want to see information for one particular game, please feel free to bookmark that portal.
I suspect this is not the case. If Grand Lackey was itself a Lackey, generators of Lackeys would be able to generate him and we've recently seen why stuff like that is bad with the recent Alex nerf. It would be even worse though considering how small the lackey pool is.
They aren't all that great tbh. If you look at other games, we get way more value for our pre-orders.
I ultimately think the problem is Wizards is afraid to mess up their brand and physical product. They want magic to feel so premium so they can keep getting the price they do and if Arena becomes too cheap, it could hurt their physical sales.
Part of me thinks that is a bit silly since Arena has more profit potential since you don't need to produce a physical product, but on the other side, physical product is great for certain types of releases (Secret Lair comes to mind) since the markup is insanely high and people are willing to pay that price for it.
I'm definitely no expert though, so other than the fact that other games do more with their pre-orders, take my thoughts on it with a grain of salt.

Just wait! The servers are likely overloaded due to tons of traffic.

I'd like to see monthly seasons.
Oh no, not again.
Maybe restarting the app fixes it?
What do you mean?

That's why they're calling it Story now instead of Normal :D
Something cool to progress through and enjoy a story they've created. Heroic is the real deal (or at least should be?)
I'll make sure we have this available before launch on Thursday!
This will be an addition soon. Forums don't currently have game flagging, so once that gets baked in and we flag everything, life will be good

The mid-January site update! We're aiming to get a larger update out towards the end of the month with two long-anticipated features.
New Features
Changes
Bug Fixes
That would be two tokens, each named Icicle, with the Freeze keyword being the only text they have.
No bonus reward for speedrunning. Nothing in the client data!
Ugh, yeah, don't remind me. It was all fun and games when everyone said the rogue quest sucked... lol.
I'm really digging it, though yeah, it's going to be annoying!
Love seeing Evasive get more love recently. Hurry up and keyword it already, Blizzard!

Honestly, I'm a little afraid of this card being too overboard because of Rogue. It'll be funny when Blizzard has to nerf it.
