Coming here to complain about Ozara again. Seriously, just remove that dumb fuckface of a boss from Tombs of Terror. This is probably the 5th or 6th time I've had a really fun and good run with a deck well-suited for fighting the plague-lord, only to run into this steaming pile of shit and get steamrolled by 11/7 in stats on turn 1 with partial windfury which does not slow down at all in the turns after. The only way you win against this boss is if you're lucky enough to draw enough cheap minions and/or board clears and that still doesn't guarantee anything. I'm glad Ozara just a horribly designed AI in a videogame so that I can safely say to her face that literally no one anywhere is going to ever want her to be alive.

I'm so glad that in a time where I'm tired of playing online in this game, the singleplayer content forbids me from having fun as well.

This idea has been around for quite a while, but as far as I know Blizzard sadly isn't paying much attention to it. Maaaybe they're secretly planning on doing something like this but right now all we can do is hope.

It hasn't even been a day since the preview patch ended and I already can't wait to play in the next one. I like Hearthstone a lot and I've put too much time and money into it to just quit, but if Riot does things right with LoR there is a very real chance that I will end up playing it more than Hearthstone. It also helps that I've been playing LoL since season 2 and I know every single champion and a decent amount of lore, so seeing that come to life in a card game has been great.

I also want to mention that I absolutely LOVE the animations in LoR, especially the champion level ups. Even when I'm losing I can't help but gaze in awe at Garen spinning his giant sword right in my face.

There are stuff that I hate like damage being blocked after a unit is destroyed by Active abilities & spells. Example is Anivia's active spell destroying 1/2 health units but since they were blocking my attackers suddenly their Force Ghosts can shit on me, that's bullshit!!!!!!!!!!

I actually really like that mechanic. Sure if you're the attacker you'd prefer your attacks going to the nexus instead of doing nothing, but if this were the case, abilities and spells that can damage blockers before the attack phase would be really broken, because it would give way too much control to the attacking player who already gets to act first. Instead you can still choose to prevent your attackers from taking damage from their blockers with effects like this, which is still a very viable tactic but not immediately game-winning.

Is this the new #1 Runeterra fanpage? That’s not why I came here from hearthpwn.

I'm pretty sure Hearthstone stuff will continue, there's just a loooot more new stuff regarding Legends of Runeterra because it's a new game.

As someone who has been playing League of Legends for about 8 years, I will at the very least have to give this a try. It's highly unlikely that it will replace Hearthstone for me except if I like it much better, but I'm still curious to see more of this.

The eight mana slot has been the sweet spot for evolves and such for ages, but this is probably one of the strongest pools ever. I say probably only because The Lich King is no longer in standard. It's a fair point to raise that Mogu probably would be considerably weaker as a 6 mana 3/3 or 8 mana 4/4 even if it kept the discount mechanic simply because it'd roll into considerably worse minion pools.

On a side note I'm convinced Hir'eek costs 8 just to have an absolute dud on 8-mana rolls.

Did you just copy another person's comment? Also, I'd like to refer to my reply to the original comment on why this is not true.

I have had a lot of fun with both cards. Dark Pharaoh Tekahn feels great to play in a lackey heavy zoo deck (duh..), but you can still do well if you don't draw him. If you do however, you will probably have a much bigger chance to win (if you still have lackeys left to play). If you enjoy playing zoo more than slower decks, you should definitely craft tekahn.

However, I also really like Supreme Archaeology and in my experience it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I haven't really tried to play the deck competitively though, but I found that the best way to make use of the quest reward is through Arch-Villain Rafaam. Just finish the quest by using the usual Plot Twist combos (Fel Lord Betrug and Dollmaster Dorian) and staying alive using cards like Zilliax, Aranasi Broodmother and Khartut Defender. Then you play Rafaam and you can basically play at least two big legendaries every turn, with one of them costing 0 due to your hero power. I also like to use Impbalming to shuffle extra cards into my deck before playing rafaam, which basically turns the card into a 4 mana Assassinate that gives you extra fuel should you need it. Pulling this exact combo off doesn't occur that often but it's a lot of fun when it does.

It's a dig at Chinese President Xi Jinping - he was compared to Winnie in a meme and he took offense, so Pooh has been banned in China for the last few years. So naturally it's now re-surging as a protest symbol against him/the Chinese government.

Never thought I'd see one of my favourite childhood cartoon characters being used as a protest symbol 15 years later.

I don't really like the original Jaina portrait but I think she looks amazing on this one. Valeera and to some extent Rexxar on the other hand look kinda weird on these to me.

The weird thing is that it was released with the tombs of terror, but in the tombs of terror you play on the regular uldum board (which I actually like better so I don't mind it, but it's still weird). Maybe it will be used in the last wing and/or the final encounter?

Still have a golden Duskfallen Aviana, but even though the card probably won't ever be useful, it feels like a special trophy since probably close to no one is stupid enough to keep a golden copy of this card. :p

I can now safely say that [Hearthstone Card (Jr. Navigator) Not Found] is completely busted, and a boatload of fun. Thanks to the Hearthstone I was able to add six additional copies of it to my deck. Killed the Plague Lord of Death with one that was buffed up to a 480/480 by the good ol' Divine Spirit + Inner Fire combo. Killed the seventh boss (Chu) while having about 200 armor thanks to Earthen Scales. I also had Rocket Backpacks so by combining Zerek, Master Cloner and spells from Jr. Navigators I could basically remove everything.

If the Jr. Navigator is already this strong then the Sr. Navigator is guaranteed to be completely insane.

These portraits are great, but as someone who doesn't even have 400 wins for any class yet after roughly 4 years of playing, they're just going to make me feel like I'm missing out on something I'll probably never get...

Okay so don't get me wrong, I really love the tombs of terror so far, but sometimes they suck at balancing highrolling heroic bosses. I just had one of the best decks I've ever had, but I faced Ozara as the second last boss (who has a hero power that summons a dust devil every time they play an overload card). I had the double legendary passive, I played double 2/6 on turn 2, double 3/3 pyros + 3/2 on turn 4 and double 4/3 zilliax on turn 5. I still lost because that fucking dipshit of a boss summoned 2-3 dust devils EVERY turn next to two tunnel troggs, two totem golems, two stormforged axes, two voltaic bursts, a lava shock and finished with a lightning bolt. Seriously how in the fuck is anyone supposed to beat that unless their deck is beyond totally busted? But yeah no I totally wasn't excited to fight the last boss with this awesome deck I spend all that time building up. Why not make ozara the last boss since this shit was 10x more insane than anything the plague lords can do.

I totally agree.  Brann is ok; the change wasn't that drastic but Sir Finley's art and character in the videos suggest he's suffered the consequences of a Devolve and some.. He's been fine in the adventure though. Just the looks.

As for Elise I don't mind saying it's an increase in confidence/ character maturing.

Then again I never played WoW so I really only know what LoE showed.

I think the problem is that the devs really like Elise, so much so that they can't handle her character objectively. I'd compare it to Ron and Hermione in the Harry Potter books versus the films: In the books Hermione is smart, but she's a bratty know-it-all with bushy hair and buck teeth. Ron isn't the most talented Wizard but he's incredibly loyal and brave. In the films they made Ron into a pathetic joke character and Hermione is perfect in every way, despite the fact that JK Rowling was involved in the writing and casting for the movies.

I haven't played WOW either so I don't know what the LoE is like there, but that latest Uldum cinematic really really rubbed me the wrong way.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as the Ron and Hermoine change from books to film, but I do agree that the devs seem to make Elise a bit too perfect. I don't know if you've seen the comic con panel where they talk about the explorers in Uldum with Dave Kosak and the voice actors of the explorers? They talked a bit about the personality of each explorer, with each one having strong and weak points, but when they got to Elise they just kept talking about how she's smart, powerful and confident, without any real weak points.

That said, this is still Hearthstone and I personally enjoy the characters for their goofyness so I'm not really bothered by it.

Welp... I just managed to activate the Jr. Tomb Diver effect against the plague lord. I had a great deck to support the strategy with about 7/8 secrets, Alchemist's Stone, Tracking Device and quite a bit of card draw including four Arcanologist's. Unfortunately the last secret I needed to activate Jr. tomb diver was literally the last card in my deck, so once I finally got the hero power, I was almost dead and the plague lord of madness isn't exactly nice once he's in his last phase, so I only got to activate it about 4 times... Needless to say, I am both relieved that I finally managed to do it and tilted that that one damn secret being at the bottom of my deck kind of ruined it. I guess the real fun will have to wait until I get the Sr. Tomb Diver.
