(*except that he's very unlikely to get relegated unless he chooses to leave the competition: he's the current frontrunner among Americas' promotion candidates.)
Just curious, when does the prize earning reset? Is it yearly?
The old guard seem to be rotating out (Kolento, Dog, Pavel, Amnesiac, etc.) and past champions seem to have lost interest (Firebat, Otskaka, Pavel, Hunterace(sorta)) in competitive play. This isn't too bad as long as those that replace them have the desire to be in GM.
Honestly, I think they should remove the cap for the prize pool to increase the incentive to participate. Crowd source the prize pool like DOTA. Right now, streaming seems to be more lucrative than tournaments.
Interesting idea, it certainly adds flavor to the warrior class. Just a few comments.
Rewording of the text, it's too long.
I think it should be 2 consecutive attacks instead of 1 combined attack. For example if you dual wielded Wrenchcalibur, when attacking the warrior attacks twice-- attacking first with the main hand proc'ing the bomb, then second with the off hand proc'ing another bomb.
Thematically, offhand weapons are weaker than main hand weapons. So I think it should have an off hand penalty. I was thinking in the lines of -50% damage rounded up. For example, an offhand Fiery War Axe would deal 2 damage instead of 3. Once the offhand weapon returns to the main hand, damage returns to normal.
We wanted to update everyone regarding our new hero skins, particularly Scholar Jaina and Horseman Uther. We are planning to add unique voice lines, start of game voice lines, and a couple other special voice lines to both Scholar Jaina and Horseman Uther in a future patch. We’ve taken feedback on board regarding emotes for those and upcoming hero skins. The next skin, which will be released shortly, has new emotes for all 6 regular board interactions and a few other commonly played lines as well. There will be hero skins in the next expansions associated with their corresponding Book of Heroes chapters that will not have unique lines at launch, but we plan to add them as soon as VO recording allows. Stay tuned for updates here.
Adding context as to how we got here: We started out with the idea of adding skins for our classic heroes that allowed us to get more options for visual customization into the hands of our players at a much quicker than normal pace. We’re confident in the idea behind these skins and they’re already seeing a lot of use within the game. However, we missed here on painting a clear picture of the difference between these skins and the alternate heroes we’ve done in the past, that include all sorts of unique audio and visual effects. That’s something we should have gotten across better and want to ensure that we address in the future.
I wish they would do more of the likes of galagrond's awakening. Not necessarily an adventure, but introduce new cards to spice up the meta mid expansion.
That's my point it's an optional event we are not forced to partake in. I certainly have not and have no intention to.
If we want to spend 1000 gold on arena runs or to buy packs we are free to do so. If we chose to partake in the event, we are free to do so as well. However, we should also accept both the rewards and consequences of doing so.
The corrupt version feels like the lightweight version of quest druid's Starfall-- 6 damage to one, then 2 damage to everything else.
Not too bad.
Feels a little weak in general.
To get vanilla value out of this, you need at least 2 spells on hand for a 5 mana 5/5 with taunt.
Void Drinker feels more powerful than this and that doesn't see play.
Don't know how yet, but the card feels it will enable broken things.
A more flexible Archmage Vargoth.
In a vacuum, this card looks balance.
However, I feel the combo this enables will be borderline imbalanced.
Like the flavor of the card.
Should see play in good cycle decks.
Only downside of the card I see is its a forced combo since the combo components only work with each other.

Have you tried restarting the app?
That works for me when I get the wrong dust values.
Sad news but (for me) unsurprising.

The 4th Rexxar also looks the best one for me.
Though he sort of looks more like a warrior than a hunter lol.
Just thought I'd share for those that have not seen yet.

Has anyone gotten the golden Transfer Student yet?
Agreed. A week or two would've been the ideal. Bringing back wild cards was a novel idea, just not the length they were brought back.
Hope it won't be boring like the current event.

Bad for the pros but good for us viewers, I think.
A settled meta is more boring to watch IMO.
I know I have the unpopular opinion here.

Ahh got it. Thanks for the info.
Better rewards and you don't play arena cards.
Definitely not for everyone (not for me too), but some people like the challenge and the high risk thrill.
Going to be honest, I don't think this is Blizzard's fault.
Posts of the rewards structure are everywhere, and you are warned with the cost of entry before starting.
So, Hadidjah Chamberlain eventually left blizz?
I thought based on the previous news, she left HS but stayed with blizz.
