    Glad you liked it!

    It's though to guess how much time went into what step, because that can be very different from artist to artist. Some spend more time conceptualizing, some more on coloring, etc.

    If I'd have to take a guess, I'd say Guillaume spend most of his time conceptualizing, simply because of the sheer amount of variations.

    I wouldn't be surprised if this piece is the result of multiple days of work!

    Reno priest used to be very favored as was reno mage.  However, after this expansion’s new cards for secret mage the matchup has shifted.  Did you play before the expansion or after?  Also, the new refined secret mage was only popularized in the past month so maybe you played before then.

    played till the week before christmas. i started laddering again this week for a bit, so maybe i just haven't experienced the full force of the recent Secret Mage yet. I've seen some decks that run stuff like Sayge and Rigged Faire Game.

    I didn't play much ladder recently, but i never had much trouble with them.

    Though, that could be because I usually play rather defensive Reno decks.

    Big priest has this sort nasty way of plastering an inevitability that makes it really annoying to deal with. Convincing Infiltrator on 5, vargoth on 4, or y'shaarj on 4-5. Just seeing one of these highrolls and not having a way to transform them and you know you're likely to be dead, its just a matter of time.

    But it'll always be tied to performance. After all, if the deck sucks why'd anyone be afraid of it. The current big priest in standard is no less annoying, but hardly anyone is trying to counter it.

    I'd say the reason why so many people play Big Priest is because how easy it is to pilot. (Do you know Dane? He tried to play that deck blindfolded on stream and actually got a win!)

    Priest is completely broken in Wild. Here some suggestions how to balance it.

    Mass Hysteria -> 6 mana

    Psychic Scream -> 8 mana

    Palm Reading -> 4 mana

    Archmage Vargoth -> 5 mana

    Raise Dead -> 1 mana

    Spirit Lash -> 3 mana

    And no I don`t vote for one of these nerfs, I vote for ALL of them.

    Maybe I'm a bit biased as a Priest Main, but ... isn't that a bit much? Like, I get that some archetypes can be very frustrating to play against, but that's not a reason to completely butcher a class.

    Judging them individualy though, I could get behind your changes to Raise Dead and Psychic Scream. These cards are REALLY strong, and I wouldn't be surprised if those nerfs might become reality.

    I'd say that increasing Mass Hysteria's Mana cost might kill that card. At 6 it would compete with Lightbomb and Dragonfire Potion, which are, at least imo, more reliable.

    Same goes for Spirit Lash. 3 Mana for 1 damage AoE is just not good enough. Healing most of the time doesn't really matter, what you want is cheap and efficient removal for early game.

    No real opinion on Palm Reading; delete Vargoth

    I've never really done this, but I can understand why People do that. It can be a way of venting out your frustrattion against a certain deck.

    And I don't think that this has necessarily something to do with how those decks perform on ladder. If I remember correctly, Big Priest had for the most of the time a mediocre winrate, and yet it still managed to become one of the most hated archetypes of all time.

    I started playing Warrior this Expansion, so I'm gonna go with the Garrosh one.

    Don't know what I'll get next though. Priest is my main class, but that Skin is the worst one imo. Hunter and Shaman are kinda alright. Rogue is cool, but I'll never let go off Maiev.

    Guess I'll just roll a Dice or something!

    As long as you're getting the same amount of rewards in the same time, im fine with more levels.

    I'd be more interested to know if more levels means more unlockables (paid and f2p track).

    Maybe he just got out of bed and that's his nightgown. Gotta stay comfy when you're signing contracts in the morning!

    Congrats to the winners! All of these entries turned out pretty nice.

    I think the 4th place (the one with Sylvanas) might be my favourite. Looks to me like it could be some Deathrattle-Spell for Hunter!

    I wouldn't say that it's awful, but it definitely needs some work and fine tuning.

    I hope they can balance it by putting some treasures into different buckets to prevent a few broken combos (like Cannibalism and the Swamp Creature one). I also hope they ban some more cards. I'm sick and tired of facing C'Thun, the Shattered every second game.

    I don't have much Experience with Magic, only played Arena for like 3-4 Seasons, but their Approach at portraying Character looks very well thought out. I also read that Mark Rosewater wrote a Ton of Letters about Game Design as a Whole, so checking those out could be very helpful.

    Have they commented on the current State of Duels somewhere?

    Maybe it's just on my End, but I'm experiencing some Issues, like random Disconects, or Buckets/Treasures not showing up.

    Yeah, the Frequency of something like this would probably be lower, and not a weekly Format, I imagine.

    But there's some interesting Stuff out there, like unused or repurposed Artwork. Artstation alone has a lot of HS related Work and even some High-Quality Fan Stuff.

    I'll keep looking for other Resources during the Weekend, and if I find enough I might write you Guys! :)

    I imagine that writing for a Forum could be Fun! Though, outside of some Comments here and there, I don't have any Samples of similar Work that I could offer...

    But, it does seem pretty interesting!

    Also, in Case you Guys take Suggestions from the Comments here: There's one Topic that I've never seen really discussed or given proper Attention on other Forums (mostly Reddit and HearthPwn), and that's despite it playing such a big Part in Card Games.

    I'm speaking of Card Art!

    The only Time People talk about it, is when there's Changes or a Controversy. Which is kind of a Shame, cause there's just so much more to it! On YT alone, there's quite a lot of Essays, like the ones from Rhystic Studies, some Tutorials, and even some Work Processes by Artist.

    Maybe you could write about how Games handle the Portrayal of Characteristics (like Colors in MtGA, Classes in HS,..), look at the Storytelling on and between Cards, Themes of Expansions, etc. One could also look at the Process of creating Card Art or put the Spotlight on a certain Artist and their Works.

    I don't have anything to add, I'm just doing my Part in Downvoting you.

    You can do it, I believe in You!  ;D
