  • The ladder has been just lousy with Pure Paladins the last couple days. Not sure if I'm complaining, and I've been playing mostly Enrage Warrior and have been going about 50/50 with them.

    Losing to Thad-Lock is one of the most feelsbad experiences, IMO. Every one I face has the Slime on curve, and if that doesn't drop Thaddius, it gets them the Behemoth that brings him out anyway.

  • First time I played this card was a control match-up. Dropped him on curve, then 8 rounds of epic combat later, my opponent took 40 damage from this. I got both achievements simultaneously. Very fun, exciting game. Huge shout-out to my worthy foe for letting the spell kill them instead of conceding, you're a good dude for that. I'll be sure to pay it forward if given the chance.

  • Guess I misremembered it. I've found Arcanite Ripper to be an excellent card overall, maybe it would be too good if it counted armor.

  • Isn't that a change? I could have sworn gaining/losing armor counted for this effect previously.

  • I just encountered a bug yesterday: played Arcanite Ripper followed by Obliterate but the stats of the summoned undead did not increase. However, they did go up when I swung into a minion. Anyone else had this happen?

  • This plus The Jailer is basically instant win unless your opponent has lethal from hand, no?

  • Damn, this card looks bonkers! Both Demon Hunter and Rogue can easily attack every turn, maybe even multiple times. This is extremely efficient board control.

  • Wow, he can summon a Flametongue Totem! Right next to ... himself. That's not how you want to position a Flametongue Totem.

  • Nice tech for bombs, fatigue, and other crap your opponent shuffles into your deck.

  • Wow, Big Demon Hunter is pretty good! And fun, too! One high point I encountered was against a mage who discovered Objection! early on, and also had a second one in his ETC band. This card would normally be fatal against a big minion deck, but DH runs enough smaller guys (Crushclaw, for example) that I was able to thwart those secrets before playing my important dudes. Solid victory!

  • Thanks for your take! I've got the dust, so maybe I craft S'theno too? The thing is, I feel super motivated to play DH and DK, since these classes are newer and I have a long way to go to get those 1000 win portraits. I've already earned these for several of the original classes, and the others are not far behind.

    Kind of a separate question, but does anyone else do this? Once I hit 1000 wins, I hardly play that class anymore since I want to get them all to 1000 eventually. Feels a bit silly, since I now have a super sweet portrait to use.

  • Great content, thanks! I'm seriously considering crafting Halveria Darkraven. I don't have S'theno or Felerin either, but they seem less necessary. What do you guys think?

  • Holy crap you guys, Lord Marrowgar is insane here. Just generate as many corpses as you can with Reborn minions, then deal about a billion damage to face.

    I can't answer your question as I'm just a member, but I can tell you that paying for premium is totally worth it. It's just a few bucks per year, and not only do you get the site ad-free, but you also have the satisfaction of helping the site stay alive. I'm not judging here, I know many people have tight budgets. But if you can find the cash, this is a worthy cause.

    I know this is off topic, but you made me think about how cool and powerful a card Marrowgar is, and yet how it pretty much just clears a board and VERY rarely sets up lethal. Imagine a card like that in vanilla days: Equality/Consecration, Mass Dispel, Brawl, Twisting Nether or Vanish ... or you're dead.

  • This is a great fix. Think about the basic concept of Legendaries: their effects are unique and powerful, so you can only run one copy (yes, I know many Legendaries are trash). Those triple rune cards are in fact very powerful, more consistently powerful than most Legendaries. So now you can only run two copies (or just one, if it's Legendary) and not get to discover more and more and more copies. And it also removes some of the biggest offenders (like Vampiric Blood and Frostwyrm's Fury) from showing up in matches where they don't belong.
