Overall, an interesting class concept, having a unit that you can have only one off, but can be buffed throughout the game and can be summoned back with the obtained buffs is a cool mechanic, but i feel like at least from the buff cards you showed us, you are greatly overestimating the value of them, pretty much all of them could cost less, the 3 mana on the hero power alone makes this quite a drawback. I do like the mechanic tho.

Freeze being an integral part of DK is no surprise and you did design cards around it well enough overall.

Rune charge mechanic is quite confusing, i like a mechanic build around weapons, but i think yours need a bit more work.

Speaking of, while the class overall feels quite cool, the actual card making skills leave plenty of room for improvement, lots of "custom" wording when there are cards in the game that you can take the proper wording from and some cards that do basically the same as already existing cards (Freezing Elemental > Frost Elemental, Howling Hatchet > Death's Bite etc).

For the Hero Power costing 3 it could be too much and I may be giving it too much credit. I had it in my head of what it could possibly be at the end of it's second or third Standard year. Let's rewind time to say Year of the Raven and let's say Death Knight was released. The Ghoul would get support from the expansions of that year and Year of the Dragon next. So for Witchwood a card would permanently give it Rush, Boomsday could have made it part mech so it could be magnetized, in Rumble it could be given taunt or something else relevant to that expansion, in Rise of Shadows it could have something along the lines of of Twinspell or Lackey, in Saviors it could be given Reborn, then finally in Descent of Dragons it could be given something Dragon related. All that being said now we have an X/X minion that could be summoned each turn for X mana that; Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers, has increased stats, has rush, has taunt, has reborn, is part mech, add a lackey to your hand, and actives dragon cards.

All of what I said could be made irrelevant but that's where my mind was in regards to the high cost Hero Power. It's weak at the beginning of it's launch, but as time goes on with each expansion it's capabilities grow. So the Death Knights meta itself changes. at the first or even second expansion of a year Frost DK may be the only viable variation/archetype but uses the Ghoul as a support, then by the end of an expansion cycle the Ghoul is a formidable foe. But it probably does need it's cost to be 2 instead of 3.

I understand your reasoning, but imho designing a class that is going to be kinda shitty on its release and only ever going to get better with time is probably not a good strategy. Why would anyone want to play that class then? And putting dev time into something that might become relevant only after several expansions seems like a horrible design plan. Not to mention you didnt say that was the goal, and the three buffs you did show us for the class now are quite weak for what they do, they r all overcosted imho.

I actually like your idea a LOT, and i feel like iv seen someone else do something similar before, but cant remember, but if i ever make a custom class, i might try and lean into your idea, because it creates a very interesting design space and a uniqueness. Definitely something i made a note of for myself :)

    Is that different than region?

Yes, account is tied to your email address you log into the bnet client, but on one account, you can play on 3 different regions (US, EU, Asia).

You change the region via the "globe" icon.

So maybe you have the wrong region selected, when you start the game.

I would also prefer, if it would be just to play ranked games, not win. They made this change to all the "win X games as Y class" in the past, too.

But i can understand that they want to push ppl playing the game's main game mode, cant fault them too much for that, and they did lower the requirement from 7 games to 5, which is very noticeable. Still, I havent completed the 2500xp quest myself for like 3 or 4 weeks now, because i just dont enjoy playing ranked and my time is spent better elsewhere, i just have to accept that i lose on some xp. Like i said, would love if it was just play, but i can understand reasons behind this particular one.

Yeah, pretty much what I end up doing most of the time, and now that I went over the math, it doesnt even bother, from the reward gain standpoint. Still bothers me that it is even a thing tho.

There are two 1500xp daily quests, Watch a friend win in Spectator Mode." and "Challenge a friend. You both earn a reward!". They used to award a full classic pack and 80g respectively in the old system. I did get both of these quests a few times in the new system already. But they never felt like anything too special, just extra ~500xp, kinda disappointing.

It would be less disappointing, if there was a 1000xp baseline and more than two 1500xp quests you could roll into, it would actually make sense to try and would feel nice if you could roll into them every few days or so.

Its stupid that reroll of 1000xp will always give you 900xp, but it won’t work the other way round. Because of this I never ever reroll 1000xp quest, and I’m also hesitant to even play the game when I’m on the low roll.

Maybe you misunderstood that part, I was mentioning that in regards to the old system. Re-rolling a 1000xp quest should not guarantee a 900xp one today. Some of those aren't even easier to complete in comparison, funnily enough :D But having them in the pool does dis-incentivize you re-rolling 1000xp ones looking for different conditions to fulfill or trying to get a 1500xp one for sure.

Thanks, but the sheet is not mine, Torgal did that and posted it in one of our articles before. I used it because it was a nice reference for this purpose. Unless you mean the scenario tables in the article 😅

Oh yes, i somehow totally forgot to mention rolling 900 into another 900,which happend to me for 8 days straight, while also getting yet another 900 in next days. That was what made me finally write it all down and see how much upset should i be, turns out, not too much. But the bad feeling it creates is still there and there really isnt a good reason for it to be.

I don't know which is better - my gut says that 10 gold for three wins probably felt better because winning felt like it mattered then. I do know that the current rewards track feels better than the first iteration did, and I feel like I will have a good deal of gold to show for my efforts by the end of the expansion. I'm a paying player (I buy most bundles), but I like to supplement with gold-bought packs at the beginning of an expansion too.

From a F2P point of view, so comparing cost to achievable gold (again considering I am F2P - meaning casual), the new system is no better. At best, it is the same. They could have done absolutely nothing, and I'd still be in the same place. I'm sure they've captured a load of people who suddenly feel like it is worth spending more money, but for me it is actually a little bit more boring than before. Their *really big thing* was "a sense of achievement". Meh.

Considering how bad it was to start with, when they first said that it was great, but actually shafted players, it really shows how money grabbing they are.

I'm level 41 at the moment. Vaguely looking forward to the level 50 hero avatar thing. Hoping they are going to take away all the clicks needed to navigate around.

Yeah, the reason you have to go and claim the rewards, similar with Achievements, is probably to "feel" the accomplishment. I think, at least for Rewards Track rewards, would be a good idea to just get the pop-up right after you earn it, not needing to go to the special screen and pick it up manually. Same as you got 10 gold for 3 wins in the old system, right after the game.

Seems like they intend to abolish the Hall of Fame. Since Edwin is rotating then this pretty much means that the entirety of the classic set is getting rotated.

    Seems like a fair assumption.

How strong would a level up on damaging nexus and Rally on level up be? Kinda insane damage potential, but it is 9 mana, so dunno.

Pretty good representation of his LOL abilities, tho i feel like he resembles Trynda a little too much, even tho they would play differently enough, I suppose.

I feel your pain. I've done quite many achievements that way, now only missing these "get this exact card in buckets, draw it and so on". I think my Greyboughs are at 23 now, but I'm not going to exhaust myself and try to get...200, was it? I do fully intend to force the ETC achievement though, Blizzard give me the damn buckets where he is included.

I´m currently 155/200 with the Greybough so I´m gonna finish it just for the sake of it. Best thing to force ETC is to put every rush minion in your starting deck, that way I could get even two ETCs from time to time, that´s the quickiest way. Too bad there is no way to force Il´gynoth or High Exarch Yrel, that´s the only two achievements I can´t complete without owning them :/

I mean, Burgle Rogue to the rescue?:D

Yes, I don't believe anything else was implied there. Just to give you back that faster sense of progression, having getting something each day or so rather than once or twice a week, and then change the pacing again after you reach LVL50, I'd imagine.
