My sense, based on dev comments from around the time of the first rewards track, is that it's decided from the outset how much gold in total would be given out on the rewards track. Thereafter, it's a question of distributing the gold across the many levels. From that perspective, we're not getting golden cards in lieu of gold; without such 'filler' rewards, the alternative would have been to reduce the amount of gold awarded on some levels.
I tried about 2.5 hours ago and got this too. I don't know if they have yet to reset the giveaway for day 3 or if the day 3 packs are already depleted.
Your concern for a streamer is one thing but how is Blizzard, a large corporate entity, being punished by us? We made angry comments on social media? We decided not to pre-order their next expansion? That's not punishment. If we misjudged Blizzard, it's fine, they'll recover.
Looks like they've made some changes: The player avatar no longer walks into the goblin when you click on him. I was able to speak to the goblin and get the code. It's currently day 2 of the giveaway.
Is it obvious though? When the choices are: fire this highly-productive serial-harasser and lose his ability to make millions for our company, or just let him have his way with a few women (whom we don't value as much) and accept whatever lawsuits that come our way as a business expense?
Also company culture is a thing. Bosses may foster a bro culture if they think it'd make their subordinates more committed to the team. In this case excesses like sexual harassment could be seen as a tolerable by-product.
Brack's e-mail, while less offensive, is also full of empty fluff. What I would have liked to hear from both is stronger language for employees: do this kind of shit and there will be consequences. Concrete stuff not just nebulous platitudes about unacceptable behaviour.
What I'm reading from Blizzard's initial response to the lawsuit and Townsend's e-mail: transgressions did occur, but they were in the past and steps were taken to address them. Eventually. I don't know if that absolves them of all legal liability but I find their combative and unapologetic tone most distasteful. Surely there has to be some accountability for allowing things to get so bad before they (presumably) got better?
Note that one of the named offenders was still employed at Blizzard until last year so I doubt these problems are as 'ancient history' as they seem to suggest.
It's not like I expected him to be an abuser, but I wouldn't be altogether surprised if these allegations are true. I was turned off from watching his streams after he went off on someone who asked a pretty innocuous question about a play he made, choosing instead to interpret it as some sly attempt at implying he misplayed. So, if nothing else, I believe the part about his anger management issues.
@Kat__HS I also think we fall into the trap of making too many statlines that are Attack/Attack+2/3. Usually that is what 'makes sense' but we should be trying to do weirder statlines and compensate power in cost/design. I want to see more 8/3's and 4/1's.
Other than with rush/charge minions, there needs to be greater compensation for weird stat lines than what we've seen so far. Unfortunately, it seems Hearthstone has written itself into a corner with its game mechanics - hero powers and attackable minions - that greatly disadvantage anything with low health. Not so for LoR, where a 6/3 while vulnerable to direct damage spells, can still find opportunities to attack or block favourably.
Given that the classic format is now live, I would assume that the classic packs now give cards that are playable in that format. But just in case some unintended feature slipped in, I would play it safe and wait til after rotation to buy the bundle.
Looking at the requirement for the Scholomance coin, does anyone get the sense that Blizzard had originally intended the second coin to be a reward for collecting all the cards in an expansion, but forgot to count the cards in the mini set, and they can't change now because think of the rage? Not that I'm complaining more cosmetics for all lol
For those who are wondering about the value of the Tavern Pass' XP boost:
If you've managed to reach level 110 without the pass or level 140 with the pass on the current rewards track, you would have gained the equivalent of 15 packs from the XP boost. That would be the break even point if you do not value any of the cosmetics.
I rather suspect the HS team decided early on against multiple targets based on their newbie-friendly design philosophy. This philosophy would need to change before we get to talking about code.

I found the goblin but he's unclickable under the mass of avatars around him.
This is stupid (or I'm stupid), why didn't they place him behind the bar with Bob?

'They' has long been used to refer to a person of unknown gender. Applying it to non-binary people is just an extension of its usage.
Whispers and Darkmoon Faire before Boomsday because C'Thun / Mecha'thun

Will the effect persist after you've played Frost Lich Jaina?
Lol the one weapon buff that is actually poisonous isn't a poison.
Surely Flurry (Rank 1) too?

So what are the chances there's a card named Flux in the pipeline?
