Big Spell Mage, here we go again. Mage only has three repeatable archetypes, apparently: Secrets, Random Casino Bullshit, and Big Spell. At least Rune of the Archmage is rotating...to make room for another Random Casino Bullshit Big Spell, I'm sure.
Super-duper-early, "I haven't even left the page yet"-level feedback:
@Wailor - I think Transmute could cost 2. Giving your opponent a Coin is not nothin', and right now it basically equates to the bare minimum of Assassinate (the modern 4-Mana version, I mean).
@Demon - I assume it's to make the text visually-pleasing, but dealing damage usually comes before drawing cards, based on the regular order of operations. It could technically matter if there was some "If you have 6+ cards in hand, gain Spell Damage +2" aura or whatever, but 99.5% of the time you deal the damage first.
This is my idea, kinda based on Wailor's Gunslinger flavor from the comp before:
Example: Let's say your opponent has 4 minions; their board would look like this:
Minion A, Minion B, Opponent, Minion C, Minion D
You cast Fan the Hammer on Minion C. Going clockwise from the first target, it deals 1 damage to C, 2 to Minion D, 3 to Minion A, 4 to Minion B, and 5 to their face. If they all manage to die, great; that's the ideal scenario, where you can shoot a couple minions dead while maximizing the face damage. But you have to pick your initial target wisely, or else you're just pinging people and not getting kills. Timing is everything, as well, since the spell gets better the wider their board is; Fan the Hammer is...not so great when the board is tiny.
Let me know if the cost/damage ratio is good, and also if the text needs to be reworded. I think it's right based on how I intended it, but if you can do better I'm all ears :)
Been a little busy so you might have noticed I submitted my Launch early (and didn't provide much feedback *cough*). Not feeling confident in my stuff, again; definitely think there was room there to improve, but there's always next week.
I think it's so you have full context of what you can do when each class is revealed. Cover Artist, Photographer Fizzle, Party Animal; these cards could go well with what's offered by the Paladin or Death Knight or whatever, but we need to know about them for theorycrafting. If you save Neutral for last, every class' offerings will feel incomplete; instead, by doin' them first, you'll know everything about each class in their respective moment (save for the Core set, I guess).
Is it like a mind control effect where you 'steal' the 3/3s to your board from your opponents board and/or hand?
Or is it summon fresh 3/3 copies?
The way I read it, I have to assume you take them from their hand (if they're still there) and summon them on your side. If they make it to the enemy board, they are not yours to take anymore. Could be overthinking it, though: Pozzik could just give you your own 3/3s and let your opponent have two 3/3s for later use.
We won't know until they tell us or someone figures it out :/
Perhaps it's just me, but my initial opinion was "that does not deserve to be a Legendary"; I didn't think Pozzik was interesting at all. But maybe there's some mind-game trickeration that can be had here.
Ok, but will Vampiric Blood summon a 10/10 or two 5/5s?
Again I am just guessing based on how they're worded, but it should summon two 5/5s. Vampiric Blood gives you 5 Health to start, then gives you 5 Health a second time with the Corpse bonus.
Gains health? Or restores health (like from lifesteal)?
My guess would be 'both'; as in, Lifesteal counts, but so does Vampiric Blood.
...surely it must, right? Unless it's because "restores Health" wouldn't fit in the textbox, in which case we're in for some classic Hearthstone consistently-inconsistent memes :/
I adjusted Booster Rocket, and (finally) created an account so I could make the Launch tooltip. Question is: which one?
The first one is my original iteration, and the second is based on Dolphinslayer's feedback (still within two lines of text, too :P). There's some overlap, but ultimately they carve out different design spaces; I can see pros and cons for either one:
First-Launch is less flexible, but perhaps in a good way. Later in the game, Unspent-Launch could be triggered with little consequence.
Unspent-Launch, early on, demands the cards be played off-curve. This could balance cards from being too good if they're the only card you planned to play that turn anyway.
Unspent-Launch lets you play multiple Launch cards in a turn, whereas there can only be one First-Launch. That makes First-Launch more impactful, both gameplay-wise and in terms of flavor. Unspent-Launch is diluted.
I'm struggling to define why Unspent-Launch is called "Launch". A launch is the beginning of a rocket's takeoff; First-Launch makes narrative sense to me, while Unspent-Launch does not (currently).
Edit: Typing that out, it sounds like I want to go with First-Launch. I always struggle with this part; the deciding :/
I was gonna go with that one but Rocker Rokara seemed cool. Also, the Azshara "bundle" of packs you can earn did not include a Mage pack, despite her being a Mage skin. Thought that was odd, so I avoided it lol.
How annoyingly unintuitive. Forcing it to be an exception to the basic rules "cuz it strong" is a pretty stupid argument; I guess it didn't take long for the Rune system to threaten collapsing in on itself :/

Whatever happened to Elemental Mage? I miss it :(
How many times can my opponent pull Arcane Artificer from their Maelstrom Portal? Third game in a row, for fuck's sake >:(
"I RETURN TO THE CORE SET, PRESUMABLY!!" - Ragnaros
Now I just need to afford Criminal Lineup in the same turn...oh wait, Jazz Bass exists! I can see it now...

Congratulations to Wassculaire! Now I'm bummed I didn't submit my Time Pirate's Pillage keyword, which was basically the same thing lol :P

Wasn't aware Flo Rida was into jazz.
"And there was much rejoicing."
Good luck to our finalists!
Good luck to everyone in the voting!

We're beyond the half-way point for the Season D:

Tradeable goin' evergreen? Neat.
Regarding Fizzle, I'm honestly surprised it took this long for a Neutral Dead Man's Hand.
I didn't want Unranked to test new decks: I wanted Unranked to not stress out about my cubes every time I played the game :/
The way I read it, I have to assume you take them from their hand (if they're still there) and summon them on your side. If they make it to the enemy board, they are not yours to take anymore.
