Last minute reminder to submit your cards! Good luck to everyone! There are some very interesting cards this week, this was a hard one and I'm impressed with what people came up with!
I like the rewards more with this new ranked system. Even if you get less dust, getting expansion packs is a lot more valuable than the 500 dust I would be getting in the previous ranked system. The packs are also a lot more valuable since the duplicate protection, so maybe you are getting less dust, but you are getting more playable cards. Plus, for a F2P player those 5 packs are the equivalent of 5-7 days of playing. Which means the Legendary for our pity timer is a week closer.
One other thing, this is a lot more exciting than the last system was. Before, I was always excited to play at the start of a new month, but all I got was the same old 500 dust and another boring grind ahead of me. But packs are exciting. When opening packs, you might get a Legendary or extra Epics. And if you low roll and get 40 dust each pack, then you are now that much closer to a good pack.
In short, these rewards are more interesting and exciting. And they are much more useful if you don't have the entire expansion yet. And in my opinion, if you do own the entire expansion you shouldn't be that concerned about missing out on 100 dust.
Very very good points. I didn't think about it that way.

Wow... life has gotten me way too tilted, and I'm taking it out on Hearthstone. I'm just going to remove what was said in this comment... I'm a little ashamed with myself for saying those things. Need to find a way to de-stress a little better.

Ok, seriously... I've played 10 matches on standard ladder so far today and all 10 have been vs DH. Seriously, what the fuck is Blizzard doing with this game? 2 nerfs that have barely touched the power of the class. This expansion has been a shit show since day 1. We need more (better) nerfs NOW!

Anyone else notice, that minus the first time rewards, you actually get less out of the rewards than before? I hit legend last month, 4 packs, 7 rares and 1 epic, ended up netting me less than 400 dust. Just the golden epic from the old system gave more than what I received at the end of this month.
I feel we've been duped. They made it "feel" like we are getting more rewards, but really, unless you're F2P and need the cards for your collection, you now get less at the end of the month than before.
The honeymoon of the new ladder is over, and I'm now seeing what we were really given, and I am not impressed.
Unless one of the future updates for this year includes a change to crafting costs, the ladder/reward change was pretty pointless.

Opponent is a bomb warrior, and he gets 4 bombs in my deck. All 4 go off within 2 turns. The last turn, 3 bombs in a row. I had 25 cards in my deck! How the fuck did all 4 bombs get put in my top 5 cards? Seriously?

Why do all the Priest players play to the very last second of their rope? Their fucking decks already make matches last 30+ minutes, but when they sit there and take their sweet fucking time on every fucking turn, the game goes for 45 minutes. I just wanted a quick match. Seriously, I think the only reason Priest's win rate is as high as it is is because of people getting sick and tired of these boring ass games against them and conceding.
Also, I love how they rework Priest's basic/classic set, yet still people only play Rez bull shit. Shows you just how broken the resurrection mechanic is.
Also, what is it with Priest players and emoting the entire fucking time? "Thank you! Thank you!" Oh, you're so fucking cool because you think my play benefited you. Fucking eat shit and die.
This is the first time I am trying to make a custom card. Is it balanced/makes sense?

For your first time making a customer card, this is a good first effort! I have to agree with linkblade about it being a little strange a rogue card. Corrupt has only been seen in Warlock, but this is a decent job moving that effect to the Rogue class.
I'm a stickler for format and grammatical errors. Just curious, are there extra spaces around "Corrupt it"? The spaces around those two words feels large to me. I don't know if that was you, or the Hearthstone card generator.
You will want to have the text "When drawn, they have one turn to play it" in italics. Look at cards like Zul'jin or Burgle as examples. Text in parentheses is always in italics. Something like this:
Corrupt it. (When drawn, they have one turn to play it!)
3 Bombs kind of feels like too many for the 6 mana cost. Bomb Warrior typically has a lot of armor gain, so I don't know how much of a downside this is for removing 3 of your opponent's cards from play, and placing 15 damage worth of bombs in your opponent's deck. If you're wanting a Hakkar effect, maybe the cost should be more on par with Hakkar? I like the idea, but something doesn't feel quite right about it and I can't put my finger on it. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful.
Unholy Justice is insane! With the amount of cards you could potentially burn, 5 mana feels a little cheap to me. Odd One Out I can see where you're going with, but I don't think it works at all.
I honestly feel you can put this at 0 mana, 1 mana feels forced just to get it into odd paladin. I like the flavor, major props for the good pun name. But it just feels like a worse Embiggen.
You were correct to submit Underbelly Trickster. I gave it 4 stars just because I have some balance concerns since the effect can be such a huge game ending interruption to your opponent. That and very annoying to play against. I'm not sure how I would balance it better, but something just feels slightly OP in it's current form.
I think the "can't be discarded" makes this way too powerful. If you're determined to keep that, I think you should bump it up to 10-mana. Otherwise, let it be a risk to be discarded just like all cards in discard lock, and it is fine at 8-mana.

I felt it's effect was too powerful to be a neutral card like the other Chickens. I'm thinking because of the mech tag and the ability to magnetize onto this, that 1 mana might be too cheap for it. Think it's safe at 1-mana to stay with the chicken flavor?
If I recall correctly, the other chickens don't get the benefit unless their health is raised somehow. If you want to match that, I'd say make it so that it has to survive damage instead of just taking it. Other that, you're good to go!

Yeah, I've actually put Grommash back in. He's a good way to close out games. I also now have a 1-off copy of Sword and Board. I feel the DH matchup is already strong without it, but having 1 copy does have it's uses.
The deck is doing really good vs a lot of meta decks. I find this more fun than Egg Warrior.

I love this! It's a nice way to highlight some additional cards! So many good cards end up going under the radar. It's nice to highlight some cards that might have been overlooked.

Fun brawl! I love brawls like this one with restricted deck building. This gives me hope that they will be adding a restricted deck building format to the game this year.

Thank you all for the feedback so far. This one is really challenging trying to find a new, unique, interesting and balanced way to interact with your opponent's deck.
I'm still mulling over changes to Xavius, Nightmare Lord, but in the meantime came up with another idea that I figured I'd put out there for feedback.

I've been playing around with the archetype this week as well. I wasn't a fan of Grand Lackey Erkh (even though it was interesting to finally play with him). I too added Bomb Wrangler into my list, the power of Risky Skipper + Armorsmith + Bomb Wrangler cannot be ignored.
The archetype definitely has a lot of room for refinement still, and I think possess some potential. I won A LOT more matches than I expected when playing. Even the matches I lost didn't feel out of reach. Here's the latest list I have been running:

Congrats on Legend! I too hit Legend for the first time this month. It was a great feeling! Even more kudos for hitting legend without using DH!

Here's what the most common Face Hunter list looks like, which honestly isn't that much more expensive. List only has 4 epics and 1 legendary.
Just remove Timber Wolf, Unleash the Hounds and Wolfrider. Add in Augmented Porcupine, Mok'Nathal Lion and Teron Gorefiend
No, it's a targeted freezing trap on a stick for 1 mana. This card really needs to cost 3.
